✿ CHAPTER 7 ✿
LEONARD'S POV
I groggily woke up as I stretched my arm to the other side of the bed, but I found it cold and empty. I frowned when I saw this...where did she go?
"Little one?" I called out, but there was no response... did she leave already? I put on my clothes and checked the bathroom, but she was nowhere to be found...I smiled. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, it was ringing.
"Hello boss" my assistant called panicking like he always does... I sighed as I knew he was calling me about things related to work.
"What is it this time"
"Boss, you haven't been at the company for some days now...I think I might die from exhaustion, I can't take this workload anymore" My assistant was being too dramatic over the phone...
"You call 24 hours some days?" I closed my eyes as I leaned on the couch...my mind drifted to all the memories of last night.
"Boss, is that the only thing you heard me say? I've been trying to reach you since yesterday but-"
"Give me an hour and I'll be right there" I sighed over the phone as I rubbed my temples.
"Yes boss, I'll give you enough time just-" I ended the call as I groaned tiredly.
I smiled at the thought of little one escaping before I had woken up...she must have been so flustered from last night.
When I got to the reception. "Good morning sir" the receptionist greeted me with a smile I found disgusting.
"Did a little girl-, no, the girl I took in here last night, did she leave?"
"Yes sir, she already left very early this morning" I nodded, asking myself why she had left just like that.
"Is there any problem sir?" I shook my head.
"No, not at all" With that I walked away....the receptionist looked at me with a confused expression.
I got into my car at the parking lot"I didn't even get to know her name" I sighed as I drove away...
"I'll find you little one." I grinned at the thought of having her back in my arms.
AN HOUR LATER
I finally arrived at my company after refreshing at my house...I could already see my assistant standing anxiously looking around until his eyes landed on my car arriving...he squealed happily when he saw me get out of my car.
"I'm so happy to see you, boss. These past few hours have been hell without you," he said, shed crocodile tears. I shot him a hard glare, telling him to KEEP SHUT.
"So you couldn't even handle a few workloads when I'm gone huh?" we walked into the company.
"Ah!, not at all sir, you're the brain and heart of 7eleven corporation, I'm nothing without you, no, we're nothing without you boss!" he kept on blabbing and blabbing till we entered my private elevator and arrived at my office.
"Can you stop talking for once, Theo" I glared at him as I took my seat at my desk. He gulped
" I am indeed sorry sir" he gave a little bow...
I sighed "What are my schedules for today?" I leaned back in my seat as I gazed at him.
He then took out his tablet and began scrolling and scrolling and talking for 10 minutes straight.
"A meeting with the Johnson's family again?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Yes boss, Mr. Johnson said he wants to invite you for dinner as his boss but you always decline"
"Hmm, postpone it" I tapped my fingers on the table.
"Ah, about that sir, I'd say you should attend this dinner meeting soon so you won't have to do it in the future".
