When I woke up the sun was shining in my eyes, "Get up Emily." I heard Jake's voice. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, "Why are you here? Shouldn't you go and pick up Amy?" he looked at me and smiled, "No I'm not picking up Amy today." I was shocked. "Jake, I don't need you to, I have a job. Thanks for the offer but no thanks." he looked angry but just walked away.
After I got dressed, I went to pick up Lilly. She stood there in front of the gates like every day waiting for me. I walked towards her and when she saw me, she ran towards me and gave me a big hug. Only then did I realize there was another person with her. I looked up to see Asher. "Good morning, Sir Asher." I greeted him. He looked at me and smiled, "Call me Asher or Ash." I smiled back.
He walked away and I walked Lilly to school. On the way she gave me a piece of paper which had the details of my date that night. "Thanks Lilly. Do you know who your father is setting me up with?" she smiled and said, "Yes but I'm not aloud to tell you." Really? So much for wanting to get a head start. I sulked as I walked her to school. And once she was in the school building, I googled where the place would be. I saw that it was a very fancy place, and it was incredibly beautiful. I walked to school with a bright smile on my face, but it disappeared once I got there.
Amy stood in front of my locker and said, "Heard your going on date? Who in their right mind would date you?" I looked at her and said, "Well someone who doesn't like bitches apparently." she gasped, and I smiled, "Amy next time don't try anything. You have my brother so leave me alone." I opened my locker, grabbed my books and walked away.
When I reached our class, I took out my phone a started recording as Amy followed me alone and then she said, "I'll make you regret living. You know my who my father is, don't you?" I looked at her, "Yes, I do he hired me, and he is also the one who wants to set me up with someone. So please continue belittling me. Maybe it will be your brother who knows it could be anyone." She glared at me and said, "You can't date Asher." I looked at her and smiled, "You like your own brother?" she then said, "We aren't even related so no I don't like my brother, but I like Asher." "How are you two not related?" I asked her. She smiled and said, "My mother told the mayor she was pregnant with his child after he got drunk and spent the night with her. He was drunk but they never spent a night together, she slept with his friend then I was formed. She pretended that I was his child, and he felt guilty because he was drunk but that is all he remembers. So, stay away from Asher."
I smiled at her and said, "You are dating my brother so why still like Asher? He thinks you are his half-sister." "So? He will love me." I laughed at her. I showed her my phone and said, "Everything you just said has been recorded. So, stop bulling me or I'm sending this to the whole school and social media." Her eyes widened in shock. She tried to grab the phone but was to slow when I reacted, "Amy you won't be needing this so if you'll excuse me, I have classes to attend." I switched off my phone as I walked to my first period.
When school ended, I got in my car at went to pick up Lilly. When I got there and climbed out of my car Lilly's teacher walked towards me and said, "Miss, tomorrow is a parent teacher conference so I was wondering if you could come for little miss Lilly?" I smiled, "I would be happy." Then Lilly came running out and hugged me. I said goodbye to the teacher as I helped Lilly in the car. Once I started the car Lilly asked, "Emily, can I help you get ready for your date?" I smiled and nodded, "Of course, but first I need to go somewhere." "Okay."
I drove to the park where I normally met Cathrine, but she wasn't there. So, I went to her house. When I stopped there and got out Lilly followed me. I opened the door to see Emily crying, "Emily what's wrong?" She pointed to the kitchen, "Mommy fell and hid her head. She isn't waking up and Tony won't stop crying." I rushed to the kitchen to see Cathrine unconscious on the floor, I checked her breathing, and she was breathing. I tooked out my phone and called nine one one [911]. When they picked up, I said, "Hi my friend fell in the kitchen and hid her head she is currently unconscious, and her breathing is steady." I then her the other person said, "We'll send help your way now where are you currently?" "We are at Bravery 144 the second exit." "We are on our way please stay calm." Then the phone went off. I ran up the stairs to grab Tony. "Emily don't worry help is coming."
A few minutes later the ambulance arrived the one nurse came up to me and asked, "Are these her children?" "Yes, two of them are." She looked at me and said, "We will please take care of them while we take care of her?" I nodded. When they were gone I looked at Emily and said, "You will be staying with me for a few days while mommy is being cared for. Let's go." Lilly looked at me and said, "Em what about your date?" I was shocked I forgot about the date.
I took out me phone and called the mayor, "Sir, I'm sorry but I'm stuck with an issue. My friend passed out and now I am taking care of her kids. So can we reschedule the date please?" I heard him sigh. "There is no need. The date is at a child friendly place so you can take the children with." Then Lilly said, "Daddy I want to go to." "Okay you can go with, but you can't cause trouble." "I won't." Lilly said. I hung up and tooked the kids to my house.
I bathed them all and dressed them. I then put on a baby blue dress with light brown sandals. My hair was loose straight against my back as I picked Tony up and grabbed my purse. Tony was five months old. "You girls ready?" They both nodded. We got in my car, and I drove to the location.
As we got to the parking lot, and I parked I picked Tony up out his chair and strapped him around me and took Lilly and Emily's hands in mine. "You girls ready? We will really stand out now, hopefully my date doesn't mind and i saw that there is also a playground for you two to play on." I smiled and they looked more exited then anytime I saw them.
We walked in and was shone to a seat and the person I saw was...Asher. Lilly then jumped into his arms and said, "Brother!" I smiled. "Sorry we're late." He got up and said, "It's alright my father informed me. May I hold him?" I nodded. I unstrapped Tont and gave him to Asher. I looked at Emily and Lilly and asked, "Should I order you some milkshakes while you two go play?" they nodded. "Alright I'll call you two once it's here." They then ran to the playground.
I pulled out my chair and sat. "Why are you sitting there? Come sit next to me." He patted on the couch next to him. I got up and then sat next to him. "Tiring day?" Asher asked. I nodded, "Yeah. But at least I'm here. I'm sorry you father set us up. I told him I'm fine, but he insisted." "I'm glad he insisted." i glanced at him and smiled, "Does that mean you want to continue seeing me?" he nodded and turned red. I giggled, "Alright. At least we look like a family already with Emily and Tony here. People will think we are married. Lilly they will know she is your sister. But I'm glad to be in a quiet place." I placed my head back against the couch.
Asher then pulled my head to rest on him shoulder, "Rest then. It will only get more hectic here." he smiled, and it made me smile. I sighed and said, "Tomorrow will be worse." he looked at me, "Why?" "I will have to take Tony to school since he is so young he will have to go with me and Amy will tease me. And this little one will probably keep me up all night." he looked at me and said, "I will talk to your principle. So, you can just relax." I nodded, "Thanks Asher."
When I waiter came to us, I heard Lilly scream. I got up and ran to the playground to see a photographer picking Lilly up. "Hey, put her down. Now" he ignored me, and I threw my shoe in his face. I grabbed Lilly and Emily stood behind me. "I said put her down." I glared at him then crouched down next to the girls and pulled them in a hug, "Are you girls alright?"
Asher came running out. "Give me Tony then go carry them?" He nodded as he handed Tony to me and picked Lilly and Emily up. The photographers around us took pictures as we walked out, and Asher put Emily in my car. "Please get home save. Make sure Lilly eats." he nodded. I put Tony in his car chair. As I closed the door I turned to Asher, "Sorry that our date was ruined. Next time if there is one, I'll..." before i could finished Asher kissed me, "There will be a next time." "Did you just?" He nodded, "Yes I just kissed you." I was speechless.
He then said, "Will you officially be my girlfriend?" "Asher we barley know each other..." "We will get to know each other as time goes by." I couldn't help but giggle "Alright then. See you on our next date."
