Cherreads

Chapter 6 - 6; Identity Crisis.

The sun rose above the Martial Academy, its golden rays vanishing into the vast green land. The air, moist and crisp, Carried a cool earthy feel. The atmosphere, clear with pure and rich Energy.

Ace came out of the dumpster of the Room. Finally, he was outside. He wafted in the crisp morning air, attracting with it the dust and dirt he was covered in.

"Achoooo," he snarled, looking at his clothes.

"Damn it, I can't go out looking like this!"

Ace got to work, his hands beating against his clothes as he dusted off the dirt out of them. With one final swoosh, he got off the last bit.

Not forgetting his plan, Ace started to look around. He expected to see at least a dozen other dorms close to his, but no. His dorm was the only one!

'What in the'

Ace gasped. Laid out before him was a huge building, easily describable as a mansion. The huge building had two floors, a large metal door, and dozens of decorated windows.

Ace couldn't look away, his eyes were glued to the building. It's shimmering beauty and glorious glow. It was a very breathtaking sight indeed.

Then suddenly Ace recalled something. Something that he had completely erased his mind from.

'Wait a minute,' he said taking one more final look. His head completing a full 180-degree sight.

Apart from the stunning mansion, the Area left was a free halfway leading to the mansion. All secured perfectly inside a red fence.

He looked behind him, getting another 180-degree view once more; this time, he came face to face with two separate small rooms similar to the one he had just ruined.

Seemingly the three rooms were on the side, next to the entrance.

Then it hit him. The realization crashed down onto him.

"Of course!" he growled, putting his hand on his nose. "How could I forget. This dude is rich!! Why would he live in a one-room dorm?"

Ace's memory was still fuzzy with all he had experienced. He might've been overlooking some details since he was invested in how to really survive rather than how much of a reputation his body had.

'But wait,' something popped into his mind. Confusion bringing him back from realization.

"If that is my dorm, then whose are these!" he yelled looking at the three small rooms he was standing before. Ace's mind rushed for an answer, but time was getting short for him.

The sun had fully been up by now, its rays lighting up the whole Academy. Ace covered his eyes, the sun glaring its light and heat directly at them. Then he got a subtle reminder, he had better shit to do.

[Ding]

Again, Ace was not happy to hear that sound. It was already in the top number 1 spot for noises Ace had hated since he came to this world.

[System Reminder]

>Player is running out of time. May you remember that having the attention span of a goldfish won't help shoulder your punishment. You'll whine even more.

"RIGHT!"

Ace gritted his teeth, a fake smile appearing on his ashen face. He wanted to tear the system to shreds, but did he really?

He seriously needed to consider his position at this point.

"I should probably be going. Who knows, I might get there and miss my mission!"

In a flash, Ace stormed out of his position, his legs taking off to the huge door that closed the mansion. He knew If he hadn't gotten to get the mission as fast as possible, he might not get to go to Yunshan Mountain and execute the plan.

'The plan Must absolutely happen! No room for failure!' Ace tightened his fists, his eyes curling into a blood-lusted hunter. 'The stakes are just too high this time!'

With one fling he threw open the dorm doors. 'Cling,' the metal sign on the door, beat against itself from the force of the fling.

Noticing the sign, Ace threw out his hand to stop it. Taking a quick glance, Ace's suspicions came true, as in the sign it said 'Sky palace'

'As I thought. Only a dumb ass would come up with a name like that,' he thought, glaring at the sign.

Out of nowhere, Ace started feeling a tingly feeling. His neck tilted to look where it came from.

Like lightning, Ace's eyes and a dozen other eyes crashed. It was the other students!

They stood there, staring him down like prey. Some were Scared, Some carried fury, Some annoyed, and Some disgusted.

Ace had never felt such hardened looks from those many people. He immediately knew what was going on.

'Right,' he sighed, gazing back at his admirers.

Out of nowhere, Ace coiled his face, Making a disgusted and annoying expression.

"WHAT ARE YOU LOSERS LOOKING AT HUH?" Ace snapped, his voice sharp and loud.

Immediately Everyone started moving again, getting back to whatever business they had going. Leaving behind Ace who was still glaring down on them.

Even though Ace had nothing to do with the actions Skysher had made, the point still remained, Ace was inside the body of Skysher!

All the acts and Crimes Skysher made were now his to shoulder. But that was ok, Ace was going to double down on them anyway!

What disturbed him, was Skysher's behavior. Shouting losers at others, when the real loser was him the whole time!

This meant that now Ace had the reputation of a 'dick' or, better put, a bitch. One that would piss off even the calmest of monks in history, without talking.

Ace though, made a promise to himself, a promise that included him being an actual villain rather than a fucking jerk.

A promise that he would redeem himself as a villain fan, and if that meant he was going to put up with Skysher's stupidity and humility, he was more than happy to oblige.

However, making that a reality had one condition within Ace. He was going to implement his own version of Skysher, his own elements. He was going to accept who he was and bring change to it.

Change that he would be happy with. It was no longer about what Skysher would do. But what Ace would implement.

Ace needed to decide who he really was. The soul or the body? The mind or the heart? ACE OR SKYSHER?!
