'Just a few more things to do…'
Lohran exited the aristocrat registration area and headed towards the Accommodations Office.
With his registration confirmation form, he would be able to claim a room for himself.
Walking leisurely along the red brick path outside the cathedral-like Registrar's Office, Lohran arrived at his destination just a few minutes later.
He made sure to make it clear that he was an aristocrat this time.
While the queue wasn't too long, what the red-haired runt was aiming for was a spacious room where he could train in his spare time.
Since he was born with a silver spoon in this life, why shouldn't he take advantage of it?
His past life had made him all too aware of the difference between having something to work with and having nothing at all.
About ten minutes later, he left the office with a smile and a key to a room for lesser aristocrats in his hand.
"I'll thank Tibberdy later by treating him to a meal or two… or five," he muttered.
If not for the plump young man, he wouldn't have thought to secure better living conditions for himself.
Lohran walked back to the Registrar's Office to claim his luggage bags, planning to get settled in his dormitory room as soon as possible.
But just as he reached the entrance of the registrar's office, Lohran heard the sound of light, frantic footsteps behind him.
Turning to look, his brows furrowed.
Stepping quickly to the side, he dodged a sprinting young woman with white hair tied into double buns, who was a fair bit shorter than him, had a freckled, average appearance, and wore eyeglasses.
"S-Sorry!" the young woman apologized, glancing back at Lohran.
"H-Hey, watch ou—"
Before the red-haired runt could finish his sentence, however, the bespectacled maiden had already crashed into another young man and landed on her butt.
She was lucky her eyeglasses had stayed intact.
"O-Oww… that hurt," the young woman muttered, rubbing her poor little nose and adjusting her glasses.
The young man, who appeared to be a lesser aristocrat, was about to reprimand her—reminding her to watch where she was going lest she get seriously injured in the future—but froze instead.
He recognized the white-haired maiden.
After all, they were from the same region, and only a fool wouldn't recognize Iris.
"L-Lady Byakuren!" the young aristocrat stammered in shock.
"A-Ahh! Sorry, sorry! I'm in a rush!" the young miss nodded apologetically before bolting off.
Before Lohran or the young aristocrat from the Southern Region could process what had just happened, the clumsy young lady of the Great Aristocratic House of Byakuren was already gone.
The two young men exchanged bewildered glances, the same question echoing in both their minds.
'What the hell was she rushing for? There's still plenty of time before the cut-off, no?'
Lohran simply shrugged and went to claim his bags from the luggage counter—the black circular tattoo on his wrist fading—before heading in the direction indicated by the accommodations staff member.
Just as he exited the registrar's, an armored chopper took off a fair distance away, catching the red-haired runt's attention.
Based on where the young lady of the Byaruken family had run from, it seemed that the chopper was theirs.
'So there are aerial transports in this world, after all…' he mused briefly before pulling himself together and continuing on his way to the dormitories.
It seemed that only the excessively wealthy could afford to fly here.
Even he, the second son of a Minor Aristocratic House, had to take the train to reach the Northern Dawnchaser Academy.
There also wasn't a single hint of a chopper in the Neyvaris Private Residence.
Meanwhile, the young lady from the prestigious Byakuren family casually arrived in a luxury helicopter.
He was born with a silver spoon, while those from the Great Houses were born with gold ones.
'What about those from the Grand Houses, then?'
Lohran couldn't help but wonder how much of an advantage the brats from the grand lineages had over him—and especially over the commoners.
'No matter. We're all allies against Zoraphs and Zorphlings in the end…'
His thoughts were cut short as he arrived in front of a massive building that reminded him of a lavish condominium back on Earth, rectangular flower beds lining the path to the dormitory's entrance.
Just from the spacing between the windows, it was easy to tell that the rooms were spacious—possibly around eighty to a hundred square meters each.
For the lodging of a lone student, it could even be considered excessive.
'And this is only for lesser aristocrats…'
Extremely pleased with his accommodations, Lohran pressed on and stepped inside, greeted by a grand lobby reminiscent of a five-star hotel and an office.
He then made his way to one of the counters, reported his arrival, and then proceeded to his room on the fourth floor, taking the elevator up.
After a few more seconds of walking, he arrived in front of a luxurious wooden door.
Lohran slotted his key in and pushed it open.
What he saw made him smile.
It was an extremely spacious studio-type room, with a king-size loft bed on the far left.
Beneath it sat a bookshelf and a desktop computer, while a fully equipped bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub was just a few meters away.
At the center of the room, a dreamy chandelier hung from the high ceiling, illuminating a cozy setup of a sofa, a small table, and a television below it.
On the right side, a bar-style dining table stood with a modern kitchen tucked behind it.
There was also plenty of space where he could do push-ups, sit-ups, and other flexibility exercises.
The room was large enough for a small family of four or five to live in—truly a luxury for a lone teenager.
If Lohran had seen the accommodations for commoners, he would have appreciated his room even more.
"Hohoh! How lucky…" he chuckled modestly while nodding in satisfaction, setting down his luggage and opening the bags to settle in.
Half an hour later, he was done.
After taking a quick leak, he locked the door behind him and stepped out.
It was time to explore the academy grounds.
