While Alibaba, Aladdin, Morgiana, and Hakuryuu ventured into Zagan's Dungeon seeking a cure for Alibaba's curse, I remained in Sindria, continuing my training and enjoying the city's vibrant life. The Mahrajan Festival was in full swing, and I spent my days indulging in the festivities, exploring the pleasure district, and taking on monster-slaying quests. Since arriving in Sindria, my system had undergone a significant update. Unlike before, where it would randomly assign quests and rewards, I now had access to a comprehensive interface. I could view my stats—Strength, Stamina, Durability, Speed, Agility, Magoi, and Intelligence—and monitor my progress. My inventory included the Dagger of Uriel, 1,000 gold coins, a cutting knife, various accessories, clothing, and essential survival items like a pan, cooking spoon, and food supplies. Through consistent effort, I had leveled up from 1 to 14.
One afternoon, as I was training in the grounds, a sudden tremor shook the city. Looking up, I saw a figure descending rapidly, shattering Sindria's protective barrier with a surge of dark energy. It was Judar, the dark Magi, his presence exuding malevolence and power. He landed atop the Sindrian castle, his eyes scanning the surroundings with disdain.
Ja'far was the first to confront him. Their exchange was tense, with Judar mocking and taunting. Suddenly, Judar summoned a formidable assassin, directing it towards Ja'far. Sensing the danger, I rushed to the scene, arriving just as Sinbad appeared. As Sinbad and Judar began their confrontation, I seized the moment and delivered a punch to Judar's face.
"You again?" Judar sneered, recognizing me. "The red-haired one from Balbadd's Fog Troupe. What are you doing here? How dare you attack a Magi!"
Suddenly, my system flashed an emergency quest: "Survive the attacks of the Sorcerer of Destruction. Reward: Thunder Magic, Water Magic, and Ice Magic (Water sub-magic)." Without hesitation, Judar launched a barrage of dark magic towards me. Drawing upon my training and the system's enhancements, I dodged and countered, our battle intensifying. Despite his power, I held my ground, pushing him back.
Realizing he couldn't defeat me easily, Judar retreated, vowing, "This isn't over. We'll have a rematch, you scoundrel!"
As he vanished, Sinbad, Ja'far, Drakon, and Masrur approached, concern evident on their faces.
"Are you alright?" Sinbad asked, placing a hand on my shoulder.
I chuckled, "I've been through worse."
The system notified me of the quest's completion. I had leveled up from 14 to 17 and acquired new magic abilities: Thunder, Water, and Ice. With these new powers and the support of my allies, I felt more prepared for the challenges ahead.
