Keifer's POV
She looks so beautiful! I still regret the day I let her go. I wish I hadn't agreed to let her transfer to another section. I wish she was still with me now, still mine.
My fists clenched when I saw her with that man—the man she chose to be with instead of me. She was smiling so happily, while the guy she was with just looked so punchable.
Every time I see them together, I want to punch Aries. He stole Ella from me. He poisoned her mind and made it clear to us that our section was nothing but trash.
If only you knew who you were messing with, Michael Aries Fernandez.
You'll regret the day you set foot in this school.
Jay-jay's POV
Haaayyy!!! Here I go again! I have to enter the section full of snakes once more.
When I got to the room, nothing was happening yet. Keifer still wasn't there—I haven't seen him. That's fine, though. I don't care about him.
The earlier classes went by peacefully. I managed to catch up on the lessons. The king of snakes was still nowhere to be found.
Lunchtime came. I knew they would try to steal my food again, and I didn't want to go to the cafeteria, so I just brought some rice and a few snacks.
But where should I eat?
I suddenly remembered that this building had a second floor, but the stairs were blocked with stuff.
Well, I had nowhere else to go. No choice!
I left the room and walked toward the stairs. There were a lot of things piled up, but there was still enough space for me to squeeze through.
I pushed my way past the clutter. With every step I took, mosquitoes flew out. Ugh, I hope I don't catch dengue here.
When I reached the second floor, I peeked around to see if anyone was there.
I sat on the stairs and took out my food. I quietly chewed while thinking about my lessons—and, of course, why their president wasn't in class today.
"Hey!"
"Pfffftttt... Animal!" I spat out the food I was chewing in shock at the sudden yell.
I turned to see who the hell that was. It was Keifer—the president and king of the snakes. I thought he wasn't here today!
It seemed like he had been hanging out on the second floor all along.
I shot him a glare. "You asshole—"
"Whatever..." He suddenly sat next to me and looked at my food.
"...What's your lunch?"
"None of your business!"
"Tss. I'm trying to be nice here!" he snapped.
I felt a bit embarrassed, so I lowered my head. Okay, I guess I was being rude.
"Tss. Fried asuhos," I answered.
I didn't even get a proper meal cooked—I just grabbed whatever was left from this morning... or was it from last night?
I was stunned when he suddenly grabbed my lunchbox.
"Whatever it is... I'll just have some," he said and took a bite of rice and viand.
I just stared at him, my mouth hanging open. He seemed like a completely different person. It was obvious he was hungry from the way he was chewing so fast.
After taking one or two bites, he handed my lunchbox back.
"Before you say I'm a freeloader."
I didn't say anything. I just took a few more bites myself and then handed the lunchbox back to him.
He looked surprised at first but then took it.
"You look hungry," I said.
It was like we were playing a game—taking turns eating. He would eat, then I would.
Honestly, it was a bit gross since we were sharing utensils, but at this point, we were both hungry. No complaints when it comes to food.
To be honest, Keifer looked like a rich kid. His skin was fair and smooth, and his presence was really strong. I could also tell that he had a well-built body.
I also noticed he had an earring on his right ear. It was so small that it was barely visible.
Wait... Is this snake actually good-looking?!
"Stop staring at me!"
I snapped back to reality when he shouted.
"W-was I staring?" I played dumb.
"No... You were STARING," he clarified.
I suddenly felt embarrassed about what I did. My cheeks started to feel warm.
What the heck? Why am I feeling shy around this idiot?!
I cleared my throat to shake off the nervousness.
"S-so, why didn't you come to class earlier?" I asked, changing the topic.
"No reason... why? Did you miss me?"
My eyes widened at what he said. What did he just say?! How cocky!
"Huh?! AS IF!"
He suddenly laughed. I don't know why, but he looked even more handsome when he laughed.
"S-so why didn't you buy food from the cafeteria?" I changed the topic again.
"We're not allowed in there."
Huh? Is that even possible?
"Why? Since when were students banned from the cafeteria?"
His expression suddenly turned serious.
"For a long time now... We're just not allowed in there."
He suddenly stood up and started walking down the stairs.
"Hey! Wait!" I called after him.
But he must have gone deaf because he ignored me and left completely.
I packed up our food and went down as well.
What's his deal? Is he possessed? Bipolar? Abnormal? He's totally messed up!
When I got back to the classroom, everyone looked like wilted vegetables. They all seemed drained—obviously because they hadn't eaten lunch.
I sat in my seat. Keifer was nowhere in sight, so I figured he really wasn't coming back to class.
While waiting, I suddenly remembered that I still had some snacks in my bag.
I took out a Loaded snack, and to my shock, my classmates all looked at me like drooling dogs. Do they have rabies?!
I tried moving the Loaded snack in my hand, and their heads followed.
"Wow, this is fun!"
I grabbed another Loaded from my bag and threw it with all my might at them. They pounced on it like wild lions fighting over food.
Hahaha! They look so stupid!
Felix approached me. "Don't you have the bigger one? I'm starving," he asked, pouting.
I felt a little sorry for him, so I gave him my Nova snack.
Good thing my Jansport bag was spacious—I could fit a lot of food inside. Hehehe.
I threw more snacks at my classmates, but I suddenly stopped when someone shouted.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!"
We all turned to look at the door. Standing there was a guy as big as Keifer, wearing glasses, with red hair, and carrying a gym bag.
"There's Sakuragi!"
"Idiot! Hanamitchi!"
"Do you think he brought something?"
"He definitely has food!"
I glanced at Felix, who was staring seriously at the guy at the door—whom they called Hanamitchi or Sakuragi. Wait… isn't that from an anime?
"Bro…" Felix greeted, but the guy just stared at him.
He handed his gym bag to one of our classmates, who immediately took it and was swarmed at the back.
Then, he looked at me, his eyebrows furrowed so deeply that he looked terrifying—even with glasses on. He reminded me of Keifer. I quickly hid behind Felix.
"Who's that?" he asked, still looking at me.
"J-Jay-jay… transferee," Felix answered.
He scanned the room as if looking for someone. "Where's Keifer? Does he know about this?"
"Y-yeah…" Felix scratched the back of his head. "She's been here since yesterday."
"And Keifer didn't do anything?!" His tone was laced with anger.
Is it really such a big deal that I'm here?!
"Well… he did, but—"
"But she still hasn't left!"
He was really mad now. What's his problem with me? What's so wrong about me being here?
"You!" He called out to me. "…Why are you still here?"
I couldn't answer. He was scary. His aura was just like Keifer's. Were they related?
"And why are you treating my classmates like dogs?!"
Hey! That's not true! I was just having fun with them.
"N-no, I wasn't—"
"Then what do you call what you're doing?!"
"I was giving them food."
He turned to his classmates.
"You've been gone for days… we always had no lunch," one of them explained.
"And Keifer didn't do anything?" the red-haired guy asked.
Why does he keep asking about Keifer?
"You act like you don't know him," Felix replied.
"Tss." That was all he said before sitting at the back.
I quickly turned to Felix. "Who is that?" I whispered.
"That's Yuri Hanamitchi… our classmate—well, yours now too."
"Why is he only showing up now?"
"He was suspended… He went to the cafeteria, and we're not allowed there."
Oh, right. I almost forgot about that.
"What do you mean you're not allowed? I don't get it."
He chuckled a little. "Sorry, Jay, it's not my story to tell."
Ugh! I couldn't get anything out of Felix. I was dying of curiosity over this whole "banned from the cafeteria" thing.
And now, on top of that, that red-haired guy just straight-up wanted me gone.
I wonder if his hair color is natural?
I wanted to ask Felix more, but our teacher had already arrived.
So frustrating! I was itching to know the full story.
Mrs. Zaragoza started teaching. Just like before, she approached me again to ask a question.
"Jay, have you chosen a section yet?"
The room fell silent. I glanced behind me. They were all pretending to look straight ahead.
I turned back to Ma'am. "N-not yet, ma'am."
"It's okay… but I hope you can choose before the 1st Grading. It'll be difficult to transfer you once you've taken the test."
"O-okay, ma'am."
Here we go again. Why are they so desperate to transfer me? What's so special about this place?
Class ended for the day, but I still didn't understand why they were so eager to move me.
Was it because I was the only girl? But then, why do even the students in Section E want me gone?
Is it still because I'm a girl?
Damn it! I should've just been born a boy!
