Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Complete Susanoo

"Of course, with my talent, opening my eyes is a piece of cake," Obito said confidently.

"I'll show you Uchiha's power later."

Both Obito and Kakashi defeated their opponents, advancing to the next round.

Technically, they had already been promoted to Chūnin, but continuing to compete for higher rankings was still of some meaning. Neither of them was willing to stop just yet. They both had their eyes on the top spot.

Soon, both Obito and Kakashi had overcome all obstacles and defeated their respective opponents.

In the final round, on the stage of the actual combat assessment, only the two of them remained standing, facing each other.

"Hey, Kakashi, why don't you just admit defeat? It'll save you the embarrassment of losing later."

"Ha," Kakashi chuckled, showing a slight smirk. He wasn't the type to be easily provoked. "Not a chance."

The examiner's voice rang out, signaling the start of the battle.

The moment the match began, Kakashi launched a series of three sharp shurikens, each one aimed directly at Obito. They flew through the air like thunder, seemingly destined to hit their mark.

However, Obito, with his ability to blur, was unfazed. The shurikens passed right through him, as though his body was nothing but a mirage, like a reflection passing through water.

"Heh, Kakashi, is this all you've got?" Obito teased, grinning triumphantly.

Kakashi scowled, rolling his eyes. "This won't be so easy."

He shifted into a more defensive stance and tightened his focus, examining Obito's abilities.

"You can see me, but you can't touch me... Could it be Genjutsu?" Kakashi pondered, secretly forming a seal to break any Genjutsu trap, a skill he had mastered over the years.

Then, Kakashi threw another shuriken, this time as a secondary test.

Once again, Obito evaded the attack effortlessly, using his blurring technique.

"It's not Genjutsu," Kakashi muttered under his breath. "What kind of ability is this?"

Before Kakashi could continue his analysis, Obito moved in. "No more stalling! Time for me to attack!" Obito said, charging forward with a swift flying kick aimed straight at Kakashi.

Kakashi's mind raced as he considered his options. Could this attack be a feint? Was there something more dangerous lurking behind it?

He quickly formulated a plan. "Escape or fight back..." he thought, preparing to use his substitute technique in case the attack was a decoy.

Just as Obito's kick came within inches of Kakashi's face, Kakashi swiftly blocked it with his own leg, using the Substitute Technique to reposition himself.

"Ha! Missed!" Obito laughed, impressed by Kakashi's quick thinking.

The two engaged in a fierce back-and-forth, each predicting the other's movements. Kakashi realized that Obito seemed to anticipate every one of his attacks, putting him at a disadvantage.

But Kakashi wasn't ready to give up. His eyes narrowed, becoming sharper, more focused.

"There's an entity!" Kakashi thought, a realization dawning on him. "It's not just Genjutsu, and it's not a clone. There's a real body, but it disappears and reappears at will."

"Too slow, Kakashi," Obito teased, his Sharingan turning slightly, his movements becoming even faster in Kakashi's eyes. Kakashi's every action seemed to be slowed down multiple times.

Despite the difficulty, Kakashi remained calm, continuing to search for Obito's weaknesses.

After thirty rounds, Obito appeared to tire for a brief moment. Kakashi seized the opportunity, sending a swift whip kick directly at Obito's chest.

But once again, Obito's body turned into a blur, and the kick passed straight through him.

Kakashi stood, stunned, wondering what had just happened. The punch had clearly hit the target... yet it hadn't.

"How is this possible?" Kakashi muttered, looking at the spot where Obito had stood only moments before.

At that moment, Obito took advantage of Kakashi's hesitation, landing a punch that sent Kakashi sprawling across the ground.

"Hahaha, Kakashi, your cleverness can't fool me!" Obito taunted. "Trying to find a gap after my attack? You've got no chance, I've mastered zero-delay blurring!"

Kakashi slowly got to his feet, dusting himself off. His mind was racing as he tried to piece everything together.

"Could he be able to freely switch between an entity and virtuality?" Kakashi thought, a spark of understanding lighting in his mind.

As Obito continued to fight, Kakashi thought of a new plan. "I'll have to test this new theory."

He reached into his pouch and threw a smoke bomb onto the ground.

"Smoke bombs? Is that really going to stop me?" Obito chuckled. Though he mocked the tactic, he remained alert.

Despite not being able to see perfectly through the smoke, Obito's sharp eyes — enhanced by his Mangekyō Sharingan — allowed him to track Kakashi's movement through the haze.

Kakashi didn't respond verbally, instead waiting for the right moment to strike. From the smoke, a shadow shot forward, launching an attack.

Obito reacted with incredible reflexes, dodging the blow and the two were locked in another fierce clash.

Obito couldn't help but smirk. "Aren't you going to admit defeat? You're wasting time here, Kakashi. I've got plenty of tricks up my sleeve."

"How about this?" Kakashi responded, half-joking and half-serious. "You admit defeat, and I'll take you out for a nice barbecue."

Obito raised an eyebrow, his tone feigning offense. "One barbecue? You want to get rid of me that easily? At least three!"

"Fine, fine," Kakashi replied with a sigh, just as Obito took the opportunity to launch a brutal punch at him.

However, Kakashi managed to dodge it just in time. "Hey, Obito, try this!" Kakashi said as he suddenly performed a feint, only to reveal that his real body had been hiding underground, waiting for the perfect moment.

Obito's punch missed completely, and the ground beneath Kakashi gave way. From underground, he executed a lightning-fast counterattack, kicking Obito and sending him flying.

"Gotcha!" Kakashi smirked.

Obito, however, was stunned. He had been caught by one of Kakashi's lightning clones. The real Kakashi had been underground, waiting for the best opportunity to strike.

"Looks like your Kamui isn't flawless after all," Kakashi said, grinning.

Obito clenched his fists, anger flashing in his eyes. "Damn you, Kakashi. I'll get you next time!"

The battle continued, but Obito was growing desperate. He hadn't revealed all his abilities, and there was one last trick he was holding back.

"Let's see how you handle this!" Obito muttered under his breath as his Mangekyō Sharingan spun, releasing a powerful surge of energy.

"Susanoh!" Obito shouted, and in that instant, the world seemed to shake.

A massive, glowing figure began to form around him. Chakra wrapped around Obito's body, creating an enormous skeleton.

The towering figure continued to grow, flesh, blood, muscles, and bones merging into a fully formed Susanoo. The complete Susanoo stood at over 100 meters tall, towering above the battlefield like a god descending to Earth.

The audience gasped in shock, the stadium shaking beneath the weight of the enormous chakra avatar.

Uchiha Fugaku, watching from the crowd, narrowed his eyes in disbelief. "Complete Susanoo..." he whispered, the shock evident in his voice.

"How can Obito control this power?" Fugaku muttered under his breath. "No one else can wield it, not since Uchiha Madara."

Kakashi stared up at the massive figure, his mouth agape. After a long pause, he sighed, his eyes vacant. "What a scumbag."

Obito grinned, clearly enjoying his moment of victory.

"You know what, Kakashi?" he said, smiling proudly. "I win."

The referee, stunned and trembling, announced the results. "The winner... Uchiha Obito!"

Kakashi, having no way to fight back, raised his hands in surrender.

In the monitoring room, Sarutobi Hiruzen was speechless, staring in disbelief at the screen. His pipe fell from his mouth, and he was completely stunned by what he had just witnessed.

"This... this is..." he whispered, unable to comprehend the sheer power of the technique.

The crowd erupted in applause, but even they couldn't hide the awe in their expressions. Obito had truly become a force to be reckoned with.
