Chapter 12 - chapter-12 summoning more than 500 soldiers

Arthur hadn't assigned any tasks to John just yet. Without a blacksmith shop, there was simply no place for the man to work. That would change tomorrow once Robin began constructing it.

As for Ash and his wife Lisa, he had also held off on assigning them duties. His territory was still in its early stages, and the lands beyond were teeming with monsters. More importantly, he didn't yet possess any seeds or tools necessary to begin farming. That, too, would come in time.

Under Joseph's supervision, the newly summoned people began making their way toward the residential area. Many homes had already been constructed earlier in the day, and thanks to Arthur's foresight and Robin's architectural planning, there were just enough for everyone—for now.

Once the crowd had dispersed, Arthur opened his inventory again. His eyes scanned the newly acquired summoning cards.

"Time to strengthen our defenses," he muttered.

He walked toward the portal and retrieved 520 Bronze-rank Soldier Cards, tossing them into the glowing gateway without hesitation. The portal flared to life once more, but Arthur didn't flinch. He had grown used to its brilliance by now.

But what came next still left him a little breathless.

One after another, soldiers began marching out of the portal. Uniformed, disciplined, and radiating strength—they were a sight to behold. Their oppressive aura was unmistakable. There was nothing common about these warriors.

Arthur narrowed his eyes slightly. *If I sent them into the wild as a single unit, they could probably wipe out most of the nearby monsters...*

But then he tempered his thoughts.

Keep your cool, Arthur. Don't get ahead of yourself or fall into overconfidence.

It took almost thirty minutes for all 520 soldiers to emerge from the portal. Once the last man stepped out, they stood in formation, their armor gleaming under the moonlight. As soon as they spotted Arthur, they raised their arms and saluted.

"We greet the mighty Lord!" they thundered, their voices like war drums shaking the ground.

Arthur had expected their discipline, but the raw power behind their words still impressed him. These were not like the commoners he had summoned before. These were trained soldiers, forged for battle and unwavering in their loyalty.

"Stand tall, my soldiers," Arthur said, his tone steady and resolute. "My name is Arthur, and from this day forward, I am your Lord."

"We will follow your command, Lord Arthur!" they responded in unison.

He gave them a small nod. "Go now. Eat, rest in the soldiers' camp, and recover your strength. Tomorrow, we begin our first hunt together."

With that, he turned and walked away. He didn't bother inspecting their individual stats—he already knew they were all Bronze-rank Wolf Soldiers. For now, their strength was more than sufficient.

He made his way to the group of original ten soldiers, the ones who had stood beside him since the beginning. These men had fought by his side, and he had promised them something important.

Among them, one name stood out.

"Richard, step forward."

A soldier with a strong frame and confident aura immediately emerged from the group, his face lighting up with excitement. He had fought bravely in the previous battle, single-handedly slaying ten monsters and keeping his team safe. Arthur had been observing him closely. His leadership, courage, and instinct made him the perfect candidate.

"Yes, my Lord!" Richard answered, standing at attention.

Arthur stepped closer, his expression serious. "I've seen your bravery. Your leadership on the battlefield. From this moment onward, I appoint you as Commander of all Bronze-rank soldiers."

Richard's eyes widened in shock, then gleamed with pride. "Thank you, my Lord. I will never disappoint you!"

Arthur nodded. "More than **five hundred** Bronze-rank soldiers have been recruited. They are all under your command now—and every future Bronze-rank soldier will report to you directly. This is a great responsibility, Richard."

Richard stood silent for a moment, absorbing the weight of the task. 520 soldiers... It was no small force to command. His heart pounded in both excitement and pressure, but then he clenched his fist and saluted.

"Yes, my Lord. I will train them, guide them, and turn them into a force that can crush your enemies. I swear it!"

Arthur smiled faintly. "Good. I trust you."

The night grew deeper, but the fire of growth and ambition burned bright in Arthur's territory.
