"CUTIE! Over! Are you guys in?" I whispered into the walkie-talkie, my voice low but shaky. As much as I enjoyed using the device, the truth was I was terrified. Every step we took closer to the enemy felt like walking a tightrope over fire.
"SD, over! We've tip-toed in. The place is surrounded by gangsters, so don't get caught! Take your part carefully."
I smiled, feeling a small surge of pride. Tip-toe. They had used my idea after all. Maybe I wasn't as useless as I thought.
"We've been ordered to enter," I said to my reluctant partner, Vera.
"I heard that," she replied curtly, throwing me a side glare before marching ahead without another word. She was always walking like she owned every square foot of ground she stepped on. I sighed and followed, wishing I could be in front just to flaunt my behind and remind her I wasn't the only one blessed with curves.
