Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Unprecedented Prosperity

Chu Feng circled around Zuo Jun and clearly felt that his head had swollen considerably, likely due to being kicked six times by a cow's hooves. Would he have lost his memory completely?

"Don't come looking for trouble again, why put yourself through this?" Chu Feng shook his head.

However, he thought that if Zuo Jun came back next time, his head might not be safe anymore. Even the principle of simplicity couldn't save him; another couple of kicks from the yellow cattle would turn him into a smashed watermelon.

Chu Feng thoroughly examined Zuo Jun, especially his communicator, checking for any recent calls, but unfortunately, it was still blank.

Chu Feng guessed that after contacting someone, Zuo Jun would delete all traces.

This time, he carried Zuo Jun and ran for thirty to forty miles before dumping him on a broken road leading to the county seat, then returned.

The town regained its vitality as many people went to work in the fields every day. Quite a few crops had been planted.

According to some elders, this climate was most suitable for crop growth. Without mishaps, they would mature in a few months, possibly yielding a bountiful harvest.

Thus, smiles increased among the townspeople.

Suddenly, there was a commotion in the street as many people were carrying a young man who was burning hot and emitting white vapor, writhing and screaming in pain.

"Quick, take him to Doctor Wang!"

Someone shouted anxiously, as a group of strong men rushed towards the town's most famous clinic.

Returning just in time to see this, Chu Feng quickly followed to see if he could help.

"Wang Pan, my child, what happened to you?" The young man's mother arrived, sobbing uncontrollably, terrified.

This young man named Wang Pan was contorting in agony, nearly overpowering several adults holding him down, his body scorching and emitting vapor.

Chu Feng was startled upon seeing this and fell into deep thought.

"Elder sister-in-law, Wang Pan ate a fruit while working in the field, and then became like this," a middle-aged man informed.

Recently, many people in the town started farming, utilizing all available land.

Wang Pan's family also had a plot, where he worked today. During a break, he smelled a fragrant aroma and found a silver fruit in the distant grass.

The plant looked ordinary but bore a shiny silver fruit.

Thirsty at the time, Wang Pan couldn't resist eating the fruit, but soon began writhing in pain.

People recounted these events.

Wang Pan's mother burst into tears, fearing her son might die.

"Crying won't help! He's not dead yet!" Wang Pan's father angrily said, with several people managing to carry him into the clinic for immediate treatment.

Despite several adults restraining him, Wang Pan's strength kept growing until Chu Feng stepped in to hold him down.

Doctor Wang carefully observed and used instruments to conduct a thorough examination.

"His vital signs are extremely erratic, with certain hormones skyrocketing. This is unprecedented," Doctor Wang said, sweating profusely and feeling helpless.

"This child has been misled by rumors, believing those reports about someone turning into a silver-winged celestial being after eating a fruit. It's all nonsense!" an elder commented.

"Yes, although strange things happen recently, some are too absurd to believe," another middle-aged person agreed.

Chu Feng remained silent, quietly observing the young man on the bed, knowing that unless something unexpected occurred, Wang Pan would become an extraordinary person.

Despite Doctor Wang's renowned skills, he had no solution for Wang Pan.

He apologized to Wang Pan's parents, admitting his lack of ideas and suggesting observation for now.

Wang Pan's father turned pale, while his mother started crying again out of fear.

That day, townspeople warned their children never to eat strange wild fruits, lest they suffer the same fate as Wang Pan.

Chu Feng stayed with Doctor Wang, watching over Wang Pan.

After being restrained by Chu Feng, Wang Pan gradually fell asleep, though his body continued trembling and emitting vapor, which was unsettling.

Wang Pan's parents stayed awake, eyes swollen from crying.

At dawn, Wang Pan, tied to the bed, woke up in pain, trying to break free.

Chu Feng, awakened by the noise, hurriedly restrained him.

"I'm in pain..." Wang Pan screamed.

Chu Feng watched as Wang Pan's abdomen swelled and cracked, sounding like joints extending, sending chills down everyone's spines.

Throughout this process, a mist enveloped him.

Clearly, Wang Pan's body underwent drastic changes.

Finally, he howled and roared, alarming everyone nearby, causing many townspeople to gather.

Half an hour later, Wang Pan calmed down, the mist dissipating, leaving everyone stunned as if they'd seen a ghost.

On Wang Pan's abdomen appeared a pair of silver arms, seemingly very powerful.

"Aah, Wang Pan, what happened? Are you still unwell?" His mother cried, rushing forward.

Wang Pan, pale and weak, told his mother he was fine but extremely hungry.

"How can you say you're fine when you've grown an extra pair of arms?" His mother cried again, devastated that her son had become a monster.

News spread quickly, and the clinic was surrounded by curious townspeople.

"Quick, bring food!" Wang Pan's father shouted, asking relatives and neighbors to bring some food.

"Could those reports be true? Look, Wang Pan really did transform!" Someone whispered.

Now, Wang Pan looked completely different鈥攖hinner, with silvery skin, and two extra arms.

After eating large amounts of meat and rice, Wang Pan finally felt full and less weak.

During the meal, his silver arms also moved, feeding himself.

Everyone watched in amazement.

Eventually, Wang Pan walked out into the yard, swinging his silver arms, feeling both excited and burdened by his transformation.

Bang!

He punched angrily, shocking everyone as the decorative rock in the courtyard cracked deeply.

"If he hits it again, the rock will shatter."

"My God, what power is this?!"

"The reports were true. Those strange fruits can indeed cause transformations, making people superhuman." Some young people envied him.

That day, many townspeople searched for various wild fruits in fields and forests, hoping to find their own path to transformation.

Two days later, Wang Pan's condition stabilized, and further medical tests showed numerous abnormalities, including incredibly strong silver arms capable of immense strength.

Wang Pan's mother boasted about her son's newfound powers, fearing others might call him a monster and prevent him from finding a girlfriend.

Many envied Wang Pan, even adults tried searching for magical fruits outside the town.

Over the next few days, Chu Feng practiced special breathing techniques and boxing while using his communicator to search for information about magical fruits.

Online, reports about such fruits surged, as more and more people worldwide underwent transformations.

Another day passed, and Chu Feng discovered even more cases, with almost every larger town having one or two transformed individuals.

Estimates suggested over ten thousand people had already undergone transformations based on current reports.

An astonishing number, and only the known ones; considering unreported cases, the total could be several times higher.

The internet buzzed with excitement. Was a mysterious new era dawning?

Transformed individuals possessed supernatural abilities鈥攕ome could fly, others melt metal, and some could survive immersion in lava...

Worldwide discussions erupted, filled with joy.

People sensed a great era was beginning, with some gaining powers rivaling mythical creatures.

Regardless, the number of transformed individuals kept increasing, many acquiring supernatural abilities, akin to gods reincarnated, marking an unprecedented flourishing.

Later, news reported that some transformed individuals challenged the Silver-Winged Celestial Being at the Heaven-God Bio Group, but the results were terrifying.

Those individuals were easily defeated by the Silver-Winged Celestial Being alone, shocking everyone.

Initially agitated, the transformed beings gradually calmed down, realizing significant differences in strength despite similar transformations. Early awakeners seemed particularly powerful.

Further reports revealed that Diamond single-handedly crushed an organization of transformed beings, defeating dozens, causing another sensation.

It became clear that early transformers like the Silver-Winged Celestial Being, Diamond, Fire Spirit, and White Tiger King stood at the pinnacle, reportedly backed by mysterious forces providing resources and magical fruits.

After reading these reports, Chu Feng pondered his future. Not transformed, he focused on practicing special breathing techniques and boxing alone.

He decided to strengthen himself, planning to practice the Bull Demon Fist and explore the Taihang Mountains for opportunities.

Suddenly, his communicator beeped, indicating someone was calling him.

"Lin Nuoyi."

Chu Feng was surprised since they hadn't contacted each other since their breakup. Why now?
