Reeling in the absolutely repulsive feeling that down my entire body every time I laid eyes on the bloodbath that had occurred here, I spoke to my friend, a killer, he had just killed a man hadn't he so he'd be a killer and yet despite knowing that he, or her, didn't seem fazed.
And despite the fact I'd just seen him kill my perspective of him didn't change.
"You'll want to head over there." He said whilst pointing to his right. "They're about to break the wall open so I suggest you get out as quickly as you can. Oh, and just imagine that all these corpses don't exist, that they're not real, that'll help you."
Following his advice I stood up and started heading in the direction he pointed to.
"Aren't you coming?" I peeked at him over my shoulder.
"Don't worry...I'll be right behind you, just go, without me." His barely visible eyes glided down as of something heavier than the situation he was in weighted on his mind.
"Ok. Stay safe and live no matter what, ok." I said as I ran off into the red darkness where the main plan was supposed to take place.
"You say that as if I can actually die here." He, or She, said in a purposefully low mumble I couldn't hear as I ran off.
Catching a hissing sound out of the corner of my ear a loud boom followed after causing the entire prison to slightly shake.
"What the hell is going on."
The next second I understood exactly what had happened as a bright light shined upon the prisons ground level.
'A bright light. Almost as bright as the sun... It's the sun isn't it.'
The yellow glow gave us light and allowed me to see the thousands of dead, thousands of alive, and the hundreds of prisoners flee out by the explosion.
My running pace became a sprint as I went even faster to make it out before I'd either get caught and killed by a guard or before they somehow closed the exit.
I could still see Redac in the crowd of prisoners who stopped the guards from advancing and so taking this opportunity I planned to zoom by from behind them and make my quick escape.
Only problem being, I wasn't fast enough.
'I need to get faster, and now... what can I do, I'm already running at my full speed so how do I even sprint faster than that.... my status.'
Opening my status my eyes locked on the 'Stat points' I had, 5, I only had five but maybe that was enough. Allocating all my stats to speed I felt a refreshing feeling run throughout my body.
Feeling as light as a feather I increased my speed to more than double what I was just running at and was on track to make it to the exit in time... that'd be true if Redac and his team didn't start slowly moving back in an attempt to escape as well.
Speeding over, around ,and past the many dead and alive guards in the next minute I was right next to Redac's group who were only a foot away from the exit whilst being surrounded by guards on all the side in front of them, which left their only safe place to be right behind them.
I didn't plan on helping them though. I continued at full speed past them but before I could even do that I felt someone pull the collar of my prison shirt causing me to be thrown back and land on the ground.
Looking up at the person who had pulled me my face met Redac's, only for a moment as he and his gang of the last remaining prisoners escaped leaving me, still baffled, sitting on the ground.
'There using me as bait!!!'
Within a split second I jumped up off my butt and stood in a battle ready stance whilst ever so slightly taking miniature steps back, nearing the exit with each one.
The guards didn't move, not daring to take a step closer to me.
'They must either think Redac left me here because I am the strongest prisoner, or they must think I'm hiding some secret power that only the other prisoners know which is why Redac left me here.'
Whatever the guards were thinking of was good because I now had time to think of what to do and if I kept acting all strong, like they think I am, then that should give me some more spare time.
"You don't have the luxury of time."
The familiar voice of my friend hit my ear.
"That wall only needs a little amount of time before It'll reconstruct itself and with how long ago they blew up the wall there's only a little bit of time left before it regrows and your locked in here for good."
Every guard slightly shook before refocusing due to the fact my friends had just appeared right next to me.
"How'd you just appear out of thin air..." I said as I mulled over what he had just said.
"More importantly, how do you plan to make it out if you're just standing here, you have to make it out. Go and I'll hold them off."
My friend said.
"If you hold them off then how will you make it out?" I asked.
"Don't worry I'll be right behind you." He or she said.
"Yeah.. I'm not leaving you and letting that be your famous last words." Senithan still in a battle ready position said without taking his eyes off the plethora of guards.
"I'm being serious. That wall is going to go back up and once that happens if neither of us are out of here then what was the whole point of us even trying to escape, but if at least one of us makes it out then it'll all have actually been worth something which is why I'm telling you to get the hell out of the prison." Friend said
"Then why don't you escape and I stay here?"
Senithan questioned.
"Because I've seen and heard you and by the way you act I know that you haven't even dipped your toes into magic nor martial arts of even the art of swords at all and so if I were to leave you, you wouldn't even last a second."
"But since I have used both magic and martial arts I can tell just how much potential you have in both paths. Plus, challenging the Humanitarian Democracy with the measly amounts of power I have would only result in my defeat, but someone like you, with an abundance of potential, might be able to bring them down."
Hearing his answer I was about to respond, but then a crackling sound interrupted me, the sound came from my back as well which could only mean one thing.
Turning around I saw as the wall slowly built itself back together, each and every stone flew back into position in a slow manner that was also somehow remarkably efficient at the same time.
"We've wasted too much time. No, I have. I should have just done this from the start."
Friend said.
"Done what?"
I asked.
A kick as fast as light itself and as strong a minotaur hit my stomach flat and sent me body flying sideways straight through the exit before my brain even had time to react.
The last thing I saw before I was flung out was the lavender eye of, presumably my friends looking at me with sadness and guilt as if he had done something wrong to me.
He did do something wrong...
..She let me live and in doing so she would be killed in the prison. Why didn't he just let me die in the prison instead.
'The Humanitarian Democracy, isn't that what we both despised... I'll get rid of them.'
I thought whilst I slowly staggered forwards into the forest barely awake.
