Chapter 2 - The Orphan with Strange Eyes

The orphanage was a simple yet sturdy building, its old stone walls standing against the test of time. It housed children from different backgrounds, all with their own painful stories, but none quite like Safeera's.

Matron Eleanor, the woman who had found her at the doorstep that fateful morning, had been running the orphanage for decades. She had seen many abandoned children, but none had unsettled her as much as the infant wrapped in a soft cloth with a single silver pendant.

Safeera.

The name was carved in delicate letters, and something about it felt… unnatural. But Eleanor pushed aside her unease and raised the child as one of her own.

Years passed, and Safeera grew into a quiet, observant girl. From a young age, she understood that she was different. It wasn't just the fact that she had been abandoned—it was her eyes.

One was a piercing amber, glowing like molten gold in the sunlight. The other was a deep, eerie crimson that unsettled even the most kind-hearted caretakers.

The other children whispered about her. Some called her "the cursed girl." Others said she was a bad omen.

Safeera never understood why.

She was just a normal girl. Wasn't she?

---

At the age of eight, Safeera noticed strange things happening around her.

When she was upset, the air in the room would grow heavy. Objects would rattle slightly, though no one else seemed to notice.

Once, during a fight with another orphan who had pulled her hair, she felt a surge of something dark inside her. The boy suddenly tripped and fell—without her even touching him.

The caretakers dismissed it as coincidence.

But Safeera knew it was something else.

The dreams started soon after.

Flashes of blood-red moons. Dark forests filled with glowing eyes. Shadows creeping toward her, whispering in a language she didn't understand. And always, a feeling of being watched.

She would wake up gasping, her heart racing.

What was happening to her?

---

One evening, while helping Matron Eleanor sort through old books in the attic, Safeera stumbled upon something unusual.

It was a dusty, leather-bound journal tucked away in a forgotten chest. The cover was marked with strange symbols—symbols that made her chest tighten with an unfamiliar sense of recognition.

She traced her fingers over the markings, feeling a spark of something deep within her.

Eleanor noticed her staring at the book.

"What is it, child?" she asked.

Safeera hesitated. "I… I don't know. It feels… familiar."

Eleanor gave her a gentle smile but took the book from her hands. "It's just an old relic, dear. Nothing to worry about."

But Safeera was worried.

Because for the first time in her life, she felt something awaken inside her.

Something that had been sleeping for far too long.

----

At a room full of darkness, a woman with her pale skin sat with her eyes closed, deep into her thoughts thinking about a child she sent to the human world, not knowing how is she and what life has she been leading...

She touches her pendant same as Safeera's " hope you are fine my child"

A tear ran down her cheek with full of emotion she said to herself "i must find you and protect you with all cost"
