Chapter 27 - Guy with Round glasses

After the staff left, the only people left in the room were Alexia, Lucas, and Leon.

Alexia looked at Leon and asked, "How did you hack the system?"

Her eyes were sharp, arms crossed.

Hehe, no way I can tell her I learned hacking in my past life. Leon scratched his head and said, "It just… happened when I tried."

Leon then changed the subject. "Anyway, I need to go catch that guy before he clears all the proof and runs away."

Alexia played along. "We're coming too."

"You too?" Leon looked at her, surprised.

"If he can control the headmaster's mind, then he's definitely strong enough to handle you alone." Alexia stood up, sliding her hair away from her face. "We'll team up and take him down."

"So you're trying to say I'm weak?" Leon looked at her with a deadpan expression.

"Practically," Alexia replied.

"I'M NOT WEAK!" Leon yelled and started storming off.

"I'll come too," Lucas said as he walked up and stood beside Alexia.

"Then come already!" Leon shouted, breaking into a run.

"DON'T GIVE ME ORDERS, YOU BASTARD!" Lucas yelled back, chasing after him.

Alexia stood there for a second, then slowly started walking toward them.

As they ran, they reached PA-4.

Without a second thought, Leon jumped onto the wall and started biting it.

Lucas arrived right behind him and pointed, yelling, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TRYING TO DO, FOOL?!"

"Don't call me fool!" Leon snapped—and bit Lucas on the leg.

"AHHHHHH!!" Lucas screamed, trying to pull Leon off. "GET OFF ME, YOU PSYCHO!!"

Alexia finally caught up, saw the chaos, and let out a long sigh.

She grabbed Leon and held him up like a misbehaving puppy. "Why are you biting him?"

"He started it first! Called me an idiot!" Leon growled, glaring at Lucas with gritted teeth.

Alexia turned to Lucas.

"Who the hell bites a wall—other than a psycho idiot?" Lucas snapped.

Leon growled louder.

"Lucas," Alexia said, her voice flat.

"...Sorry," Lucas muttered, putting a finger to his lips.

Suddenly, a loud sound came from inside PA-4. All three froze, instantly alert.

"That bastard… he's already trying to run!" Leon said, eyes scanning for an entrance.

"Step aside," Alexia said, raising her sword.

Leon quickly moved out of the way. She swung her blade, slicing clean through the wall—creating a wide opening.

"This is the entrance now," Alexia declared.

"THIS IS A VIOLATION!" Leon shouted.

"How dare you yell at her, you brat!" Lucas snapped, grabbing Leon's hair.

Leon grabbedhis back just as hard. "YOU STARTED IT!"

The two started fighting like wild cats again, rolling around and yelling.

Alexia stared at them, sighed deeply, and moves her gaze back to her self-made entrance.

As Alexia stepped into PA-4, the lights suddenly flickered on.

Right in front of her was a laboratory,

Her eyes widened. All the missing students, trapped inside large test tubes. They weren't moving. She couldn't even tell if they were alive.

She walked further in, eyes scanning the laboratory. Everything was the same as the picture. Moving furthur in, she found the control panel connected to the tubes. She reached out to touch it—

—but suddenly, a figure lunged at her.

His body was slim but lean with power, fast and strong. His sharp eyes gleamed with madness, and a cocky smirk stretched across his face. His upper body was covered in bandages, while the lower half wore just tight black leggings.

Alexia reacted fast, blocking the attack with her sword.

"I thought it'd be some boy," the guy said, still smiling, "but turns out, it's a pretty lady."

He tried to kick her, but she blocked it again—and drove her fist straight into his gut.

With a choked gasp, he dropped to the ground, unconscious.

Just then, more people appeared wearing the same outfit as the guy. All of their bodies were of different shapes.

Leon and Lucas also entered the laboratory.

"Where's your master?" Leon asked coldly, arms crossed, eyes narrowed at the newcomers.

All of them slid aside.

A voice echoed through the lab. Calm, confident.

A man stepped forward, wearing a lab coat and round glasses. He looked to be in his mid-40s. His dark blue hair was slicked back, and his presence was giving a strange pressure on Leon's body. Mana pressure, I guess?

"Welcome… today's Ace. Leon," the man said with a small smirk.

"He's an Ace? No, he's an idiot," Lucas said, pointing at Leon.

"Shut up!" Leon snapped.

The man chuckled. "We've got some very special people here. Alexia—the girl who awakened her Prana in just fifteen months. Lucas—the strategist whose tactics in the war three years ago helped in shaping humanity's victory."

He paused, looking at Leon. "And finally, Leon… no background, no experience, no records, no achievements. Just a smart—plus lucky—guy."

Lucky? Leon thought, smiling to himself. I'd be glad if I was actually lucky.

The surrounding people frowned, glaring at him.

"A weakass," one of them muttered.
