Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Dormitory

Night had fallen over Onkawa University, and I walked slowly through the campus, my thoughts absorbed by my objective.

I had just finished a full day—between the first classes and analyzing the various personalities in my class.

Now, it was time to return to my dorm.

The academy had four major residences:

LightCrimsonWindSunshine

Each of these dorms was overseen by a professor and housed around 440 students, divided into 55 distinct districts.

These were like micro-communities within the campus.

Given the prestige of the institution, I would've thought one had to pay extra for a private room—but no.

Onkawa University only charged enrollment fees. However, to qualify for on-campus housing, a point-based system was enforced.

The rule was simple: students must never score below 30 out of 60 on any subject.

Each month, about 30 students were expelled from campus for failing to maintain an acceptable average.

Some tried to live in town, but that was almost impossible.

Why?

Because the areas surrounding the university were already taken—claimed early by families of the most influential students, who reserved spots long before even enrolling their children.

Onkawa tolerated no off-campus students.

In short: I couldn't afford to make a single mistake.

My Room, My Refuge

I entered my room and locked the door before placing my bag on the desk.

The space was simple yet elegant:

A large bed with a red comforter

A black-and-white carpet on the floor

A massive wooden desk, perfectly organized

A bulletin board, pinned with several crucial pieces of information

I stepped up to the board, eyes landing on the name written in bold red letters at the center:

RUBEN ATLEHI.

A hotel magnate. A ruthless businessman. The possible murderer of my sister.

Pinned around him were photos of people close to him:

Saya Atlehi, his only daughter.Nikolas, her boyfriend.

I took a moment to study the picture of Saya Atlehi.

Daughter of Ruben Atlehi. Born to an Italian father and Japanese mother. Nineteen years old. Top of her class. Accomplished athlete. Since her freshman year, she'd held a position as a journalist in the university's press club.

A brilliant student, respected and admired by most. Her natural charisma and her father's influence had earned her the nickname: "The Untouchable Princess."

Then my eyes moved to Nikolas' photo.

Tall, muscular, confident. The perfect boyfriend—the type everyone envied. He belonged to an elite circle, a world ruled by money and power.

I folded my arms and let a small smile slip.

"If I want to get to Ruben Atlehi, I need to get close to these two."

Saya was the key to my plan.

If I gained her trust, I could access information about her father. All I had to do was win her over, infiltrate her inner circle… and destroy everything she held dear.

My gaze returned to the photo of Nikolas.

A darker smile curved on my lips.

"Sorry, Nikolas… but that relationship of yours? It's not going to last."

A Burning Desire

A wave of rage and determination surged through me.

Me.Me, me ...

I will destroy that relationship.I'm going to crush it.I'm going to make it disappear that forever. .

I clenched my fists, my heart pounding in my chest.

I couldn't wait for tomorrow.
