Chapter 17 - Sexual Deception

Seeing this, Cain roughly guessed what was going on.

His identity was very special. He didn't know if the reincarnator was aware of it, but if they were, they would definitely try to kill him. As an anomaly, even when he entered the reincarnation space, the system had to scan him for a long time before confirming his presence.

As a BUG, it was only natural for the system to try to eliminate him.

Tsk, you want to kill me? Hmph, go ahead and try!

Cain's eyes flashed with disdain. Since they were on opposing sides, there was no need to hold back.

After getting into the police car, they arrived at an abandoned factory. Cain pushed the door open and stepped inside. The place had clearly been deserted for a while, but he continued forward without hesitation.

Suddenly, the sound of something cutting through the air came from behind. Cain dodged swiftly, narrowly avoiding the attack. A masked figure—wearing a grotesque pig-head mask—lunged at him with a syringe, aiming precisely.

With a quick motion, Cain snatched the syringe away, then grabbed the masked assailant by the collar and lifted them effortlessly. After yanking off the mask, he was met with the face of a strikingly beautiful young woman.

"Amanda?"

The woman seemed startled, clearly not expecting Cain to recognize her.

Bang!

Amanda was hurled against the wall, hitting it hard.

"Lead me to Jigsaw. Tsk, trying to test me right off the bat?" Cain smirked.

"Cough… Who the hell are you?" Amanda wheezed, struggling to regain her breath.

Before she could say more, a voice crackled through the intercom.

After listening, Amanda forced herself up, her expression cold as she led Cain deeper into the facility, straight to Jigsaw's workshop.

"Welcome to my workshop."

Jigsaw's complexion looked healthier than before, as if he had recently recovered from a grave illness.

"You should be resting, not overworking yourself."

Cain shrugged. It was the first time he'd faced someone else's wife like this, and the situation felt… weird. Uncomfortable, even.

Well, he hadn't sunk to the level of an animal—not yet, at least.

"This time, the protagonist isn't me. It's her—Amanda. A survivor of my previous game. I'm pleased to see her turn over a new leaf and rediscover her passion for life."

Jigsaw's voice was eerily calm, his presence almost hypnotic in its serenity.

The woman who had just failed to ambush Cain was Amanda, the sole survivor of Jigsaw's last game.

She had been strapped into one of his signature devices—the Reverse Bear Trap—forced to retrieve a key from the stomach of a living, anesthetized drug dealer to free herself. If she failed, the machine would have torn her jaw apart in a gruesome spectacle.

Predictably, after watching the demonstration, Amanda had gutted the dealer without hesitation, retrieving the key at the last possible second.

Grateful for her "rebirth," she had since joined Jigsaw's cause. This little ambush? Just her initiation test.

"Drugs are terrible for the body, and quitting is hard. But distraction is an effective method—very effective."

Cain's sudden remark was cryptic. His eyes flicked to the surveillance screens, where several figures were already moving.

"What method?" Amanda frowned. She was beautiful, but her eyes burned with a feral, murderous edge. A former addict with a criminal record, she had spent time in prison.

"You could try sex." Cain said it as casually as discussing the weather.

Amanda's jaw dropped. Even Jigsaw arched a brow.

"You're insane," Amanda spat, her voice dripping with scorn.

Cain wagged a finger. "No, no, no. You're missing the point. Sex is exercise. You think it's just genital friction? How naive. Sex releases adrenaline—keeps the brain stimulated. Drugs numb the mind, but so can sex. The principle is similar."

His logic was… disturbingly sound. It made a twisted kind of sense, even if it sounded absurd.

"If that's true, why don't more people do it?" Amanda shot back. "If it really worked, quitting drugs wouldn't be so hard!"

Jigsaw, intrigued, leaned forward. "You must have evidence to back this up, yes?"

Amanda stared at Cain like he was a con artist.

"The conditions are strict," Cain explained. "Most women won't accept promiscuity, and there's the risk of disease. But if you really want it to work, you need a man with an equally high sex drive. A perfect match—mutual satisfaction. That way, he gets his release, and you get the pleasure to numb your mind. When the craving hits, sex is a viable alternative."

In short, he was just spinning a seductive lie.

Amanda scoffed. "If it's impossible, why even mention it?"

"Because it is possible." Cain spread his hands. "Sex can be about satisfying desire or about addiction. The difference? One is human, the other is beast. If you need help… I'm available. I've got a high libido, and my standards for sex are very demanding."

Amanda's eyes narrowed. "You're mocking me."

"Believe what you want. The offer stands. Now—can we start the game? I'm dying to see what happens to these people."

Cain turned to the screens. Six reincarnators were displayed, each marked with the word "Reincarnation" above their heads—visible only to him. He didn't know if they could see through him at a glance, but caution was key.

Amanda changed into her game attire. "I'm joining them."

With that, she strode out, leaving Cain and Jigsaw behind.

The game was about to begin.
