Chapter 1 - RUTH THE INNOCENT ANGEL

Ruth, the Innocent Angel

A baby, Ruth, could be seen playing all by herself in the backyard while her mom, Mrs. Rogers Agatha, was in the kitchen and her dad, Mr. Rogers Francis, was busy on his laptop. The gatekeeper was washing the cars in the compound.

Suddenly, a snake appeared, staring intently at her. Little Ruth was still young and knew nothing about how harmful snakes could be, so she wasn't scared. The snake didn't seem to have any intention of harming the little girl. Instead, it circled around her seven times before crawling away. Little Ruth simply went back to playing with her teddy bear.

When dinner was almost ready, Mrs. Rogers came for Ruth and cleaned her up, completely unaware of the creature that had just circled around her daughter. After supper, Ruth was put to sleep by both her parents, but the moment they left for their room, the snake returned, watching over her throughout the night. This continued for a long time without the parents' knowledge. By the time Ruth turned three, she could communicate with the snake, who had started bringing friends along. Some of these snakes were as huge as pythons, but Ruth wasn't scared of them. They usually came every night and sometimes even when she was in the bathroom.

Mostly, she told her parents that she talked to snakes, but they brushed it off as a child's imagination and eventually forgot about it, being too busy with work. Even though their jobs took up 70% of their time, they always made time for Ruth and taught her about God and what He loves. Ruth took all these moral virtues seriously. However, she still continued entertaining her snake friends and eventually stopped telling her parents about them when they asked her not to if she wanted to continue seeing them.

Years passed, and Ruth grew into a beautiful girl with her usual black and soft hair, fair and flawless skin. She was so attractive at the age of ten that everyone adored and pampered her. She was very respectful and rarely had problems with anyone except bullies. Most girls thought she faked being innocent and quiet, so they tried to provoke her to get a reaction. Whenever they made her angry, she simply cried. At night, she would go to her room and complain about the bullies to her snake friends. They comforted her and promised to deal with the bullies.

The next day, one of the bullies was found dead, with no physical injury of any sort. It was tragic, but the hospital later confirmed it was cardiac arrest. The parents of the deceased girl were devastated, but there wasn't much they could do. Within a few days, she was buried, and life went on as usual.

Ruth's life was perfect. She never missed church programs, and she was loved by her pastors. In her academics, she was the best student in her school, except for the bullying. One day, the bullies cornered her and tried to provoke her. She kept her cool until one of them insulted her parents, calling them uncultured humans. This made Ruth extremely angry, and she pushed one of the girls. Her face turned burning red, shocking the bullies. They were happy that they had finally made the so-called perfect innocent angel retaliate. One of them stepped forward to console the crying and angry Ruth, but Ruth suddenly grabbed her by the throat. The girls screamed, trying to push Ruth away, but she knocked them down while still holding the other girl by the throat.

Fear filled the girls' hearts; they had never seen Ruth so angry before. The girl in Ruth's grasp tried apologizing, but when she looked into Ruth's eyes, she saw something terrifying—aside from Ruth's face, there was another face. It looked like Ruth, but not the sweet, innocent version they knew. Instead, it was an angry, almost demonic face.

The other girls rushed to call Ruth's mom, who came running to calm her daughter down. People who witnessed the incident were shocked because Ruth never got angry. When the girls explained what had happened, they initially tried to lie, but upon seeing Ruth still furious, they decided to tell the truth. They were made to apologize to Ruth and her family. From that day on, no one ever dared to make Ruth angry again
