Huo Siblings: Extreme Power Attack

In the following days, Ye Wen led his seven disciples through a series of soul hunts. Thanks to the enhanced Inner Space skill, the surrounding soul beasts were completely unaware of their presence, making the hunt surprisingly smooth.

The Huo siblings were particularly lucky, as they stumbled upon a family of King Kong Bears, a close relative to the Powerful Bear they encountered previously. These two bears one at 4,000 years and the other at 5,000 years were perfect for their third soul rings.

With no real resistance, the Huo siblings easily finished off the bears and acquired matching abilities.

Third Soul Skill: Body of Steel

Huo Quan: Enhances entire body's defense by 60% for three minutes.

Huo Rui: Enhances entire body's defense by 50% for three minutes.

As for the remaining five disciples, Ye Wen carefully tailored each soul ring hunt according to their unique martial souls.

For Su Qiaoqiao's Embroidery Needle Soul, Ye Wen sought a spider type beast, as the best soul skills would grant her stitching or binding abilities. They ultimately found a 400 year old Hammer Spider. Unlike typical spiders, this one had an oval shaped abdomen instead of a bulbous one and didn't weave webs. Instead, it hunted by shooting sticky silk balls from its abdomen, ensnaring prey and suffocating it to death.

Su Qiaoqiao gained a similar binding ability with her First Soul Skill: Soul Thread Link, which let her generate durable, flexible silk through soul power. With advanced techniques, her skills could even reattach severed limbs, promising a future of medical marvels. Though her abilities were in their infancy, her potential was undeniable.

Hu Rou, with her Beast Soul and natural physical advantage, was next. Ye Wen hunted a 500 year old Soft Bone Rabbit, noting that soul masters benefitted most from soul rings of the same species. Though initially, the difference wouldn't be drastic, over time, Hu Rou would see greater returns.

After absorbing the ring, Hu Rou's body grew taller and more agile, her legs muscular yet sleek, a testament to her newfound strength. Ye Wen, with a mischievous grin, couldn't resist tousling her furry ears.

"Ahh! Stop it, Master, that tickles!" Hu Rou yelped with embarrassment. When he asked about her new skill, she reported:

First Soul Skill: Waist Bow Similar to the Soft Bone Rabbit's Ten Thousand Year skill, this initial skill enhanced her flexibility. Though not powerful yet, it hinted at the bloodline potential that allowed rabbits to focus on agility and escape. Fortunately, it wasn't a Charm skill, which Ye Wen found largely useless, fit only for distracting weaker foes.

Moving on, Xu Teng acquired a 500 year old Demon Vine and gained the First Soul Skill: Parasitic Control. This allowed him to entangle enemies with his vicious vines, leading to gruesome ends for his opponents if they couldn't break free.

Wang Bao acquired a ring from a 500 year old Fire Salamander. Despite its modest appearance, the salamander contained a trace of draconic blood, making it highly suitable for Wang Bao's Alchemy Cauldron.

First Soul Skill: Flame Manipulation This skill allowed him to summon a controllable flame that could heat his cauldron for alchemy or attack enemies. Though not exceptionally strong yet, it provided a promising foundation.

Finally, Dongfang Jiaojiao was the most challenging. Due to her Light Attribute Staff Soul, finding compatible light attribute beasts in the Star Dou Forest proved difficult. After nearly a week, they found a 400 year old Lightburst Butterfly. Although other light type beasts crossed their path, they were all too powerful for her to handle, so they settled for this match, which offered a decent affinity boost, if a lower age than ideal.

First Soul Skill: Light Butterfly Dance This allowed her to summon glowing butterflies that could either provide healing support to allies or detonate on enemies, dealing light based damage. After this exhaustive effort, Dongfang Jiaojiao's new skill was a source of relief to the group, marking the end of a grueling month long hunt.

"Good work, everyone. This soul hunt was a resounding success. But remember," Ye Wen advised, "when hunting in the wild, you need constant vigilance. You'll be facing not only soul beasts but also hostile soul masters. Soul forests are lawless territories here, even Titled Douluos may die without consequence."

Although they'd avoided confrontation this time, Ye Wen knew the children had seen enough to remember the stakes.

"Understood, Master," they replied.

The Huo siblings took his words in stride, but the five younger students wore pale faces, no doubt recalling the sights of soul master conflicts. Satisfied with their solemn acknowledgment, Ye Wen gathered them for the return journey.

The trip back was uneventful, though Ye Wen took the opportunity to collect some valuable soul beast carcasses. "Once Ah Yin reaches Soul King rank, her spirit power will evolve, and she should be able to communicate with nearby Blue Silver Grass," he thought. "With her ability, I could turn a tidy profit on soul beast remains!"
