Chapter 29 - .29 THE FALL OF A TITAN.

BOOM!

The heavens shattered as Rei's fist met Eterna's formless body.

Shockwaves tore through reality itself—planets trembled, time cracked, and existence screamed.

Rei's Power Granter let him wield the abilities of the Sovereigns and Heavenly Kings—but Eterna… was something beyond gods.

The entity's voice echoed through all dimensions.

"You defy inevitability, yet inevitability does not yield."

A massive wave of absolute darkness erupted from Eterna, swallowing everything.

Rei's golden aura burned, resisting the abyss, but—

Something cracked.

His vision blurred.

His body… was fading.

He staggered back, blood spilling from his mouth.

Eterna's form loomed over him, ever-changing, ever-eternal.

"You are strong, Rei Kisaragi. But strength alone… is not enough."

Rei growled, clenching his fists.

"Then I'll crush that truth and make my own!"

He charged forward—

And then—

Eterna's hand pierced his chest.

Everything stopped.

Rei's breath hitched. His golden aura flickered—then vanished.

His heart… stopped beating.

He collapsed.

His vision darkened.

And then—

Nothing.Rei's eyes fluttered open.

But he wasn't in the heavens anymore.

A cold, lifeless land stretched before him. Shadows swirled like ghosts, whispering forgotten names.

He was in… The Underworld.

Rei tried to move—but his body felt weightless.

Was he… truly dead?

Then, a deep voice broke through the silence.

"So… you've finally arrived."

Rei's breath caught.

A man stood before him. Cloaked in darkness, yet radiating an overwhelming presence. His eyes burned with golden flames.

Rei's eyes widened. "Who… are you?"

The man stared at him. And then he smiled.

"I'm the Heavenly Sovereign. The Sovereign of Death and Life."

Rei's heartbeat stopped.

TheHeavenly Sovereign But that meant—

The man's gaze softened. "I am also… your father."

Rei's mind spun.

His father?

He had never met him. Never even known his face.

And yet, here he was.

Rei took a step forward. "You… you're really myfather?"

The man nodded. "Yes. And you, my son, have walked the same path I once did."

Rei clenched his fists. "Then tell me—who is Eterna? What the hell is it?!"

His father's expression darkened.

"Eterna… is the final wall between gods and the unknown. It is neither alive nor dead. Neither past nor future. It is the inevitable end of all things."

Rei gritted his teeth. "Then I'll break that end. Just like I always do."

His father chuckled. "Spoken like my son."

Then, he stepped forward—placing a hand on Rei's shoulder.

"But listen to me carefully, Rei. I too, fought Eterna. I was erased not dead but erased. But you cannot. You must fulfill my wish—kill it."

Rei's breath stilled.

His father's eyes burned with something beyond power—a final hope.

Rei nodded. "I will. I'll end this war."

His father smirked. "Then, let me give you my final gift."

He raised his hand—

A surge of black and gold energy erupted from his palm, swallowing Rei whole.

And then—

He woke up.
