I should have left.
I should have walked into my apartment, told Mehul goodnight, and gotten some much-needed distance.
But instead—
I opened my door.
And Mehul?
He walked right in.
Like he belonged there.
Like he belonged to me.
And the worst part?
I didn't stop him.
The door clicked shut behind us.
Silence.
Thick, heavy, completely unbearable silence.
Mehul standing at the center of my living room, arms crossed, watching the room, showing his back to me.
I exhaled sharply.
"You didn't have to come in."
He smirked. "Didn't I?"
I froze.
Because that tone.
That look in his eyes.
I swallowed hard. "Mehul."
I should have let him go.
I should have watched him walk away.
But the second he turned his back—
Something in me snapped.
Because no.
Mehul wasn't leaving me like this.
Not after the way he had messed with my head.
Not after the way he had pushed and pushed—
Only to act like he still had control.
So before he could take another step—
I grabbed his wrist.
Pulled him back.
And then—I pinned him against the door.
A soft gasp.
Barely there.
But I heard it.
Felt it against my lips as I leaned in.
Mehul blinked up at me, breath uneven.
For the first time tonight—he looked unsure.
Like he hadn't expected me to push back.
Like he had underestimated me.
I smirked.
"What's wrong?"
He exhaled sharply. "Vihaan—"
I tilted his chin up, forcing him to meet my gaze.
"You keep teasing, Mehul."
I pressed my body against his.
"But we both know you're waiting for me to take control."
A shiver ran through him.
I felt it.
I saw it.
And just like that—I knew.
Knew that he wanted this.
Wanted to be claimed.
Wanted to be mine.
So I leaned in, lips brushing against his ear as I whispered:
"I think it's time I stop holding back."
Mehul should have fought back.
Should have thrown another smirk my way.
Should have tried to push me like always.
But instead—he just stood there.
Waiting.
Breathing too fast.
Eyes half-lidded, completely undone.
At my mercy.
I traced a finger down his throat, feeling the way he swallowed.
Slow. Shaky.
"Say it."
His breath hitched. "Say… what?"
I smirked. "That you want me to ruin you."
