Brok was seen gathering materials for the best shapeshifting weapon he could find. Luckily, he started stockpiling materials in case the Leviathan Axe did not hold up against the Mjolnir; these were the materials he had gathered:
Heartsteel from Níðhöggr's Fang that grants the weapon adaptability and hunger, shifting form to match the wielder's will. The Gleaming Ice of Élivágar that bestows fluid transformation and ethereal sharpness; it never dulls, even when changing shape. Molten Ember from Surtr's Forge fuels the heat of transformation and makes the weapon burn with controlled chaos. Thread of Frigg's Loom that allows the weapon to "weave" between forms, holding destiny's weave in every strike. Scale of Jörmungandr that grants balance and cosmic resonance, keeping the weapon attuned across realms, and lastly the Binding Rune of Ivaldi's Kin that will bind all materials into one living form—no seams, no cracks, no failure.
As soon as Brok compiled all the needed materials, he then turned to ask Deimos for a few drops of his blood.
"Why would you want my blood?" Deimos asked Brok, stretching his hands to give blood.
"It needs yer damn blood to bind it—make it know who the hell owns it. Otherwise, you'll be dealin' with sticky-fingered bastards 'til the end o' time," Brok replied while taking a knife to prick Deimos' hands. The process then started.
Brok then proceeded to do what he does best: smithing. The process did not take a lot of time; it just felt like minutes to Deimos, seconds even. He just saw that Brok was swinging his hammer, then adding some materials, then swinging again, until a shape was seen, but it did not have form. It was amorphous and like a molten liquid that was constantly changing its form.
'It looks like claydough,' Deimos thought when he saw the item. It was then that Brok handed it to him. The moment Deimos touched the item, it suddenly bound to him, like how Venom binds to Eddie. It penetrated his skin. Deimos could feel the item, and he also knew how to control it, so he thought of his first weapon. It was the Mjolnir from Record of Ragnarok, a big one-handed hammer in a T-shape. It was then that a seep came out of his skin, then the shape of the weapon he thought of appeared in his sight.
"Well, I'll be. I thought I would have to explain it to ya. Glad to know you are not just brawls; ya got brains too," Brok said to Deimos.
"It was an amazing weapon, Brok. I would never forget this. From this day on, I would do anything in my power to help you," Deimos said to Brok, who in turn was just puzzled by him.
"Huh? The fuck you talking about?" Brok asked Deimos.
"You have an incomplete soul. I'll help you complete it," Deimos said, telling the truth that would come out in the Ragnarok.
"What?" Both Atreus and Kratos said at the same time, though in different tones. They all looked at Deimos with confused reactions. Deimos, seeing this, then told the whole truth. He knew that Brok's soul was incomplete, so he decided that it would be an additional payment for the weapon that would top the strongest weapon list.
"Well, my eyes are always special. I can always see the true constitution of the soul, the reflection of everything. If someone was using magic as a disguise to fool someone, they would never be able to fool me since I can see their whole truth, as no one can change the shape of their souls," Deimos explained to the others, while Kratos just looked at him with a serious gaze, as if he was thinking whether he already knew his true heritage or just an extension of ability.
"What do you mean by saying Brok's soul is incomplete?" Atreus then asked Deimos about this.
"Well, see, here's the thing: his soul is not complete; it was missing one part. It's not like he is dead, but it's still important. It was the one that will give you the ability to talk to someone who doesn't talk to our corporeal form," Deimos explained.
"Is that why you looked blue, Brok?" Atreus then turned to Brok to question, but when he looked, the only thing that he saw was his confused gaze.
"Are you saying that I died?" Brok said.
"Wait, you don't know?" Deimos asked, acting like he didn't know the future.
"THE FUCK YOU THINK?" Brok asked loudly.
"I thought you knew. I mean, you looked blue for crying out loud. Doesn't that make you look like a corpse that doesn't have running around the—m?" Deimos explained. Brok, who was shocked, just suddenly sat with a depressed face. Seeing this, Deimos then walked up to him and patted him on the back while saying,
"Don't worry, I would give you your missing soul. It was my fault for suddenly bringing it up due to my naivety, but I would correct it. I would give you your soul back even if it's the last thing I would do," Deimos promised to Brok, while looking him straight in his eyes.
"Thank you," Brok just replied for the first time in the whole ordeal.
"Where do you think it is?" Deimos asked him, just so he could explain why he knew where he would find it.
"The light of Alfheim. I know all of the non-human beings' souls go there—animals, giants, dwarves, and elves go to the light," Brok answered, while Deimos looked at Kratos.
"I would finish our journey, then I would then set out on your quest. If you have survived this long without that part of your soul, I guess you can wait for a few more days, right?" Deimos said to Brok.
"Do not underestimate the light; it has magical powers that even the Aesir wanted to learn," Brok warned, while Deimos just stood up to let his father know he was ready to continue the adventure.
"Father, I'm done with my agenda for now. After this journey, I would ask your permission to travel to fulfill my arrangement with Brok," Deimos said to Kratos.
"I heard. I would not want to be the reason you did not honor your promise. We should hurry up," Kratos said, while Deimos looked one more time at Brok, who was still sitting.
"Let's go, adventure continues," Atreus said enthusiastically, while Deimos just transformed his weapon into iron gloves, ready to brawl at any moment, following the lead of Kratos.
