Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Blessed.

Only after Jack was satisfied did he let him go.

Davies took a step back after being released from the hands of whom he now considered a brutal weirdo.

'I mean why would anyone get so angry over such? All because I didn't know the name of an E-rank Hunter, an E-rank for god's sake!' He thought as he smoothened his clothes.

"How am I to contact you when I do get the name, sir?" He asked.

"Of course by collecting my contact!" Jack replied.

"Here." He passed his contact card to Davies, who collected it, closed his case file, and hurriedly left with a bow.

He and his car left as quickly as they came.

As soon as he left, Jack looked in the direction of Hal, and as if by a magical connection, Hal also looked and their eyes met, and stayed locked for a moment, Hal smirked before walking up to him.

"What do you want?" Jack asked as soon as he got close to him.

"My reward as per the agreement of our deal," Hal said coolly.

"Huh." Sir Jack grunted, but still brought out his phone and wired the amount to Hal's account.

"Done."

Ding!

Hal felt his phone ring in his pocket which was beside his left leg.

"Nice doing business with you sir." He said with a smile, as he let out his hand for a shake.

But Sir Jack ignored it and just stared at him while saying.

"You better pray your story adds up, or else if I get anything contradictory from that agent from the investigation department, I'll be coming for you myself." He said with a serious voice.

"Now, leave this place while you still can before I change my mind and take you down right now, right here." He said as he nodded his head in a direction indicating that Hal should move it.

Hal simply smiled and then put on his helmet.

"I guess I'll be seeing you some other time sir." He said before activating the skill 'Dash'. He simply couldn't be angry with the man, today had been too beneficial to hold grudges.

'2,000$ and system bounties?'

He was simply blessed.

Later in the evening.

Hal summoned his status window as soon as he got back home.

'Stats!'

[Stats]

Strength: 45

Stamina: 30

Agility: 25

Speed: 33

Intelligence: 30

Perception: 25

(Available points to distribute: 15)

He got 15 points for defeating the boss monster, and he couldn't wait to spend them, his entire body was itching to.

If he wanted to earn it from the daily quest, then he'd have to spend the next five days, before he could get it.

'The priority is with Agility, then Perception next.'

He spent 10 points on Agility and, and the rest 5 on Perception.

Intelligence: 30

Perception: 30

(Available points to distribute: 0)

"Okay."

His stat values looked more even now.

Intelligence, Stamina, and Perception were at the same level, and Speed had almost caught up to Agility. Apart from Strength which surpassed all his other stats by far, it was okay this way.

The main reason for making the Strength stat that high was because he needed more strength to deal damage to enemies with a large and strong body.

"Let's check out today's results."

Passive skills:

— Tenacity Lv.1

— Composure Lv.1

Active skills:

— Dash Lv.1

— Sprint Lv.1

— Intimidation Lv.1

The level that had risen by four, the new skill 'Intimidation' caught his attention the most.

This alone would qualify today's earnings as quite spectacular, but there was more, wasn't there?

'Two million dollars....and the 'Store' attribute of the system that had now been unlocked.

He didn't know who, Sir Jack was, but he sure was grateful for striking such a deal with him, although it was pitiful that he didn't get any magic crystal, but like he said earlier, today's earnings were still spectacular.

Now that the system allowed him to make use of the store, Hal didn't waste time.

He immediately summoned the store.

Although it wasn't much, all the Crystals he had saved up from the Whitley stadium's instant dungeon, and the coins gained from the daily quest still waited their turn inside his inventory until now.

He had 36 crystals in total, and 20 spines of the Kaisan Wolf, but he was only going to be selling 35 Crystals and the wolf spines, because the last crystal that made the tally 36 was the one he got from killing the Boss monster, and it had great benefits so he wasn't going to sell it, but make use of it himself.

If he asked $3000 for each Basic-tier crystal, $5000 for each Intermediate-tier, and $10,000 for each Mutant-tier, he'd still have well over $190,000!

"$190,000 from a single day's hunt!"

The profit was simply gob-smacking; all he needed to do now was to sell them.

Selling magic crystals wasn't hard since the demand was very high; once he put them on sale, they would sell out pretty quickly.

The question was, where should he sell this

Should he contact a private buyer or the normal trading organization run by the MHO?

In his case, he figured that it would be better to deal with standard organizations and professionals rather than try his hands on dealing with individuals or, worse still, online sales.

In the meantime, he decided to exchange the Spines of the Kaisan Wolves in exchange for coins to get new equipment and potions.

Accompanied by the familiar beep, the list of purchasable items popped up in his view, and they continued to do so quite literally without an end.

Before, when he had gotten the Dual Blades Mystic from the store, the items shown were limited, as he was only able to access the store due to the blank card he got from the random box.

But now...

Everything from cheap potions, all the way up to absurdly expensive defensive items and eye-catching weapons could be found here. There were so, so many items that could be bought with coins.

The more expensive the item, the higher the quality. Some items cost as much as 10 billion coins! But what caught his attention the most was one with undisclosed information

The only way he got to know about it was because it came in a special form, and was secluded from the rest of the items. It simply read 'Set'

'Set of what?' I wondered.

'Well, let's put that aside for now.'

Hal hummed to himself as he continued browsing through the list of expensive items.

He decided he wasn't going to buy anything now and would simply wait till he got more coins from the instant dungeon to get an item of tangible value.

For now, he was going to sell that magical crystal 'Steel Heart of Kaisan Lycan' and exchange it for that potion that was going to permanently add 10 points to each of his stats and reduce physical damage suffered.

He wasn't wasting time getting stronger.
