Chapter 15 - Chapter 11: New Country: Rise of the Order

— — — — —

In a place that has been quickly developing without issue for the past 6 months. The forest of Elves, also known as Elarion Forest has taken a complete turn from its previous appearance.

If before, the forest looked like a mythical forest that one would stumble across on accident, then now it more closely resembles a beautiful and well developed country with tall houses and polished pavement.

The remains of what used to be a forest can still be seen as it has yet to lose its essence.

The beautiful trees and grass are what decorate the scenery, but not so much that it overpowers other details such as the beautiful fields created and maintained as they grow lovely crops that are in season.

Or the large public library that was built and centers the country accompanied by many small shops ranging from bakeries to armouries and so on.

There is also a large church, a sanctuary created and maintained, with a large white marble fountain in the middle greeting visitors, and a tall black steeled gate surrounding it.

The owner and head of this said church is none other than the Saint Lanceil who has succeeded in not only building the church but also in securing a decent following in such a short amount of time.

The scenery was not the only thing that had managed to change within the past 6 months.

The Elves, which previously were only known to be extremely beautiful and having a deep natural affinity to certain kinds of magic, were now skilled in many other aspects as well.

They could now read and write, a rarity even among many humans since usually only nobility and powerful and ancient monsters even have the chance to read and write. Seeing as how elves are not inherently powerful, they are a fairly young race and are not nobility as well then the ability to read and write would already be more than enough to put them above other races.

Aside from learning to read and write, they also began developing and creating clothing, creating many different materials from scarves and underwear to the uniforms worn by those who belong to the church.

The outfit worn by Lanceil strongly resembled a long traditional cassock, only a bit more form fitting, and it was black with a black stole lined with blue and a gold sigile shaped as a Tree in place of a Cross as one would usually see.

He had always looked very beautiful but with how he looks now he truly embodies a kind of holy aura and intensity alongside his beauty, that draws people towards the church just to see his face.

Shortly after the church had been built, Lanceil had lived in it as if it were his home. After a few weeks, he managed to finish his work. Apparently, he had worked hard day and night to learn to read and write, once he had, he spent all of his time writing something.

Only after he finished did it get revealed that he had created " The Verdant [1]Codex." After creating the Codex, he offered to read it to everyone in the village, not just to the other elves but to the dwarves that built the church. He read the codex to everyone, not completely but enough to get them curious and it worked. Many who heard it immediately decided to join the church.

However, because the materials used to create his uniform were scarce, they could not create more. This revelation resulted in Lanceil writing a list.

There were a total of 30 uniforms that needed to be made. 2 for Children, and 10 for the dwarves.

2 for older children(Teenagers) and the remaining outfits would be split, half for adult women and half for adult men.

Lanceil decided that he would not leave the church unattended.

He could allow the others in the village to take care of the church but he didn't want to bother them with something like that, believing that as the creator and owner of the church he had a responsibility to take care of it himself, he did not feel comfortable handing over the responsibility to others.

That's why, he took the large order and stuck it to his companion, Nyx, and sent Nyx with the dwarves.

Because they had a shop in mind with a trusted owner who would be able to create quality uniforms, Nyx was tasked to follow the dwarves and so he did. 3 months later, and the outfits were finished.

However, because there were so many orders, naturally, the owner became curious. This was a kind of marketing strategy that Lanceil had already planned for.

The dwarves did their part, explaining about the church and telling them about the codex. About a God-like being with a kind and generous heart. A being able to erase Illnesses and Diseases. A being that accepts and helps others regardless of if they have something to give back or not.

The stories spread and more orders were made. Unbeknownst to Lanceil or even Vaelis, the Vaelith religion was being spread among many. Creatures that had no religion but needed one naturally flocked towards the new religion that had been created.

Because unlike other religions like ' [2]The Valen Covenant ' or even ' [3]The Pyrosan Fractsidus ', The Vaelith Order accepted anyone regardless of their race or species, it accepted the poor and the rich, and that alone was enough to make others want to become a part of it.

By the time Vaelis had been gone for 7 months from the forest, the Vaelith order had already gained a strong following, uniforms had been created and The once, small Elarion Forest was now a small country consisting of Elves, Dwarves, Goblins and even two vampires that had heard of the order and came to join it out of curiosity.

It didn't take long for whispers of a new religion forming to reach the capital, though, because the religion was still new and outside of stories of an unknown "godly being", nothing would be known and no proof would exist as of now.

The people wanted to see miracles or something similar, and thus, 140 believers would be as far as the Order would be able to reach for the time being.

This alone was a huge accomplishment for Lanceil who, instead of being discouraged because more people did not come, would devote his time to teaching and preparing the church for the return of their "God".

To say that Lanceil was excited to share his progress with Vaelis upon his return would be an understatement. He wanted there to be so much progress and development that Vaelis would have nothing but praise after seeing it and so he worked diligently to achieve such a goal.

That was how the Vaelith Order was formed, and established.

From an idea into a reality, and how a small forest went from being a small mythical village of elves to a small country and community for multiple races living together. A country formed in the absence of their ruler, uninterrupted and unnoticed by the world.
