The Going Merry sailed smoothly over the crystal-clear waters, the gentle wind guiding the ship towards the horizon. The crew, as usual, was busy with their daily tasks, but there was an air of unease that none could entirely shake off—except, of course, for Luffy. The Straw Hat pirates had just left Whiskey Peak behind, heading towards their next destination, Little Garden. Yet, none of them knew exactly where they were going, other than the vague guidance of the log pose after Luffy destroyed the internal log pose. It was just another part of their journey, and to the crew, it didn't seem to matter much.
Blizz, standing on the edge of the ship, watched the endless blue of the ocean and the clear skies ahead. His mind, however, was far from the tranquil scene before him. It was focused on something—or rather, someone—that had recently caught his attention: Robin. Nico Robin. A woman he had only seen on screen before, in the anime he had watched back in his world. But now, she was real. Real. Blizz couldn't help but grin as he thought back to her sudden appearance on the ship. He had been a fan of One Piece for as long as he could remember, and seeing Robin up close? It was like a dream come true. Her calm demeanor, the intelligence in her eyes, and that enigmatic air about her—it all made her seem so… cool.
"She's going to be joining us soon… just imagine how amazing that'll be…" Blizz muttered to himself.
Suddenly a voice pulled him from his thoughts.
"Ms. Wednesday," Usopp said suddenly, squinting suspiciously. "Are you really one of us now?"
Vivi turned away from the railing, startled. Her hands tightened at her sides. "I… I'm not sure if I should be here," she confessed quietly. "I'm putting all of you in danger."
The crew fell silent.
Nami's eyes narrowed, her voice sharp and unflinching as she stormed toward Vivi.
"IT'S YOUR FAULT THEY'RE AFTER US!!" she snapped, her words like a slap. "IF YOU DIDN'T WANT TO ENDANGER US, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TOLD US THE BOSS'S IDENTITY! RIGHT, LUFFY?!"
Luffy blinked once, tilted his head… then turned away, casually stretching.
"It's morning!" he grinned. "Sanji, time for breakfast!"
Vivi's jaw dropped. "He's… not worried at all."
Blizz, who had been standing on the mast balancing casually on one foot, grinned and dropped to the deck in a smooth motion.
"I could go for some breakfast too," he added, brushing imaginary dust from his sleeve.
Vivi looked at him in disbelief. "Blizz… even you?"
He shrugged. "A good day starts with a good breakfast."
Nami crossed her arms, frowning. "And who said that?"
Blizz turned and gave her a cheesy thumbs-up. "It's me, of course."
Sanji appeared with a tray of teacups balanced expertly in one hand and a sizzling pan in the other. "Breakfast is served, my lovely Vivi-chan," he cooed, completely unfazed by the tension. "No better way to start the day than with flavor and beauty."
Usopp sighed, plopping down beside the table. "You people are way too calm for a crew with a criminal syndicate hunting us down."
Zoro, half-awake and leaning against the mast with his swords tucked behind his belt, cracked one eye open. "If they come, we fight. Simple."
Blizz joined Sanji in setting dishes, then sat beside Luffy, popping a dumpling into his mouth. "Mmm. Okay, I forgive the death threats now."
Vivi stood in the middle of it all, watching them laugh, eat, and bicker like it was just another normal day. The weight in her chest eased a little—just a little.
"Honestly," she muttered under her breath, "they're crazy."
"But they're your kind of crazy," Blizz added, overhearing her, giving her a wink. "And they don't abandon friends."
She looked at him, caught off-guard. Then, for the first time in a while, she smiled.
Blizz sat cross-legged at the edge of the Going Merry's stern, the salty breeze ruffling his cloak as his fingers formed a slow, practiced seal. The chakra buzzed at his fingertips, fluctuating like radio static. He breathed deeply, drawing from his core, letting the sensation settle into a calm, controlled current.
"I've got way too many jutsu in my head now," he thought, eyes narrowing as his focus sharpened. "I need to narrow this down… master what I have, not just hoard knowledge like a collector."
His mind shuffled through the list like a scroll:
Water Style: Exploding Water Shock Wave. A torrent-generating jutsu perfect for crowd control or capsizing enemy ships—very useful at sea.
Water Style: Hidden Mist Jutsu. Not for offense, but escape. Smoke bomb on steroids.
Lightning Style: Lightning Wolf. Fast. Precise. Menacing.
Lightning Style: Electromagnetic Murder. Already used at Whiskey Peak. Fast, silent, and lethal.
He smiled to himself. "Yeah… these four. Master these first. That's the plan."
"But…" he frowned, remembering something from the original anime timeline. "Mr. 3… that Candle Wax guy. He's on Little Garden. If he traps us, fire would be the only way to burn through that junk."
He exhaled, annoyed. "So much for sticking to water and lightning."
His eyes lifted to the mast.
No more overthinking. Time to train.
In one swift motion, Blizz stood, gathered chakra into the soles of his feet, and sprinted straight up the main mast, sticking to the wood like a gecko on caffeine. He moved effortlessly, step after step, until he reached the very top. Standing high above the Merry, the wind whipping his cloak, he smirked and threw one arm across his face, fingers spread in a dramatic pose.
"Oh! This brings back memories…" he muttered, striking the iconic Itachi silhouette, cloak flapping dramatically behind him.
Down on the deck, Vivi, who had just emerged from the kitchen carrying a tray of clean dishes, screamed and nearly flung the whole thing into the ocean.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE?!" she shouted, eyes wide in panic.
"Training!" Blizz called down, now hanging upside down from the mast by just his feet. He flashed a grin, looking completely unbothered. "Don't mind me!"
"Are you out of your mind?! You'll fall!"
"Technically, if I fall, I'll just walk on water," he said smugly, flipping upright again.
Vivi turned to Nami, exasperated. "Is he always like this?!"
Nami didn't even glance up from her map. "Only when he's awake. Watch out, Blizz—we don't have a doctor on board, remember?"
"Oh please," Blizz said, still upside down, "I'll just heal myself with chakra—wait, no, I can't do that yet."
"THEN GET DOWN!" Vivi yelled again, clutching her head.
At that moment, Luffy wandered out of the kitchen, still chewing on a meat bone. He squinted up at the mast. "Heyyy! Blizz! You look like a weird bat!"
"I'm training!" Blizz yelled back, now switching to a full handstand on the mast's tip.
"That looks awesome!" Luffy grinned, eyes sparkling. "I can do that too watch me!"
"Luffy stop , you're made of rubber, you'd bounce off the mast and into the sea," Nami muttered.
"Even better!" Luffy shouted. "I can bounce back up!"
"No, you'd just hit the water like a ball and keep skipping," Usopp chimed in. "We'd lose track of you by the fourth splash."
Sanji peeked out from the kitchen window, cigarette in hand. "If he breaks the mast, I swear I'm using him as the firewood for tonight's stew."
Blizz smirked and leapt off the mast in one smooth motion. He landed with a light tap on the ocean surface next to the Merry—standing on water like it was solid ground.
Vivi gasped again. "He's walking… on the sea!"
Blizz gave her a two-fingered salute. "Chakra control, Princess."
"Did he just call me—" Vivi blinked rapidly.
Usopp leaned over the railing. "That's it. I'm convinced. He's not human."
Zoro hopped down from the lookout, his swords clinking softly. "You know," he said as he walked over, "you're strong. That thing you did back in Whiskey Peak… the lightning attack?"
"Electromagnetic Murder," Blizz replied, grinning. "Catchy, right?"
Zoro nodded. "Fast. Sharp. Dangerous. You've got power… but you fight like a storm. Wild. No form."
Blizz raised a brow. "That an insult or a compliment?"
"Neither," Zoro said, stopping next to him. "It's advice. A sword with no control is just a lump of iron. Same for chakra. Focus. Control. Purpose."
Blizz blinked, surprised by the depth. "Huh. Thanks, Zoro."
"Don't mention it." Zoro glanced at the waves. "Also… don't drown."
Blizz smirked, then turned back to the sea. He formed the hand seals.
"Water Style: Exploding Water Shock Wave!"
The sea bucked violently. A massive geyser erupted behind the Merry, making the ship rock. Usopp screamed somewhere in the distance. "WHO LET HIM NEAR THE OCEAN?!"
"Still needs work…" Blizz muttered, rubbing his chin.
Next, he tried Hidden Mist Jutsu. The world around the ship turned foggy, then thick like soup. Vivi screamed again. "I CAN'T SEE—BLIZZ?!"
"Success!" he called from somewhere in the mist.
"…Success?! I CAN'T SEE MY OWN FEET!"
He canceled the jutsu. "Alright, alright. Mist works. Check."
As he jumped back aboard, soaked, grinning, and shivering slightly, his mind already went to the next step.
Mr. 3 is coming, he reminded himself. That candle wax crap… I need fire. And fast.
He turned toward the bow of the ship, eyes narrowing. "Time to awaken that Great Fireball Jutsu."
Blizz had been training for hours now, the gentle sway of the Going Merry beneath him barely registering as he stood in perfect focus. His body was a blur of movement as he cycled through hand seals, each motion smoother than the last. The sounds of the crew chatting and the wind in the sails faded into the background. For now, it was just him, his chakra, and the jutsus he needed to master.
He began with the basics, cycling through the clone jutsu, substitution jutsu, and fireball jutsu—all techniques that were already second nature to him. His chakra was starting to flow more fluidly now, the energy feeling almost instinctual.
But the new techniques… those required more focus.
Blizz pulled out a scroll from his pack, unfurling it and running a finger over the intricate sealing symbols. He had been learning how to use seals from memory, but unlike the jutsu he'd inherited, sealing arts were more complicated. Each symbol required precision and focus, and he'd yet to completely master the technique.
"This is harder than it looks," Blizz muttered to himself, his fingers tracing the delicate patterns of one of the seals. The Storage Seal was the easiest to use, allowing him to store items inside a scroll. He'd already put a few of his smaller tools, like kunai and shuriken, in the scroll for convenience, but he needed to perfect his technique for more complex items.
He glanced at the Exploding Tags—simple pieces of parchment with sealing symbols on them. Paper bombs. He had learned the basics, but he hadn't practiced much yet. His eyes narrowed as he gathered chakra into his fingertips. He pressed it into the paper, feeling the explosive energy building. The moment he released the chakra, the paper ignited with a violent hiss. The explosion was brief but loud enough to rattle the mast.
Vivi, who had been passing by the deck, froze in place. "Did you just… blow something up?!"
Blizz waved casually, sweat dotting his brow. "Just a little test."
"Just a little test?! You almost set the ship on fire!"
"Not a chance." Blizz smiled, brushing off his hands as the smell of smoke lingered in the air. "I've got this."
"Remind me not to stand too close next time," she muttered, taking a cautious step back.
Blizz returned to his scroll, retrieving a new explosive tag, his mind already moving on to the next experiment. This time, he tried a different approach, gathering chakra with more control, focusing on minimizing the explosion's intensity. He pressed his chakra into the paper again—this time, a smaller, less violent burst. A controlled explosion.
"Progress," he mumbled.
As his hands worked, Blizz's mind wandered for a moment. He thought back to the Great Fireball Jutsu—it was a move he had learned from the memories in his mind but had yet to practice. Fire was an element that felt foreign to him, but he knew it was a necessary part of his arsenal.
But for now, he couldn't afford to lose focus on what mattered most: water and lightning. The Exploding Water Jutsu would be perfect for slowing down enemies, especially if they were pursuing the ship. Hiding Mist Jutsu was a versatile escape tactic. And the Lightning Wolf? That would pack a punch in a real fight.
Blizz continued the rhythm of training, each new jutsu an opportunity to test his limits, to understand his body and chakra in new ways. After a while, the repetitive hand seals became second nature again. His chakra control had improved to the point where he could walk on water effortlessly, even while concentrating on seals and making subtle adjustments to his chakra flow.

After a while, the sun began to dip low in the sky, casting a golden light across the ocean. Blizz stopped, wiped the sweat from his brow, and took a deep breath. His body still buzzed with the energy of training, but his mind was already moving ahead.
There was still a lot more to learn.
He stored the scroll away, then glanced around the deck, watching the crew go about their tasks. Zoro was sharpening his swords, Sanji was flipping meat for dinner, and Nami was sitting at the helm, adjusting the course of the ship based on the wind.
Vivi, who had been quietly watching from the side, seemed more relaxed now, although still wary.
Blizz gave her a smile. "Don't worry. If anyone tries to attack, I've got plenty of tricks up my sleeve. And if I get tired of training, maybe I'll show you how to walk on water next."
Vivi raised an eyebrow, her voice laced with sarcasm. "Oh, good. Because that's what we need: another impossible stunt."
Blizz grinned. "Well, if you get bored, I could always teach you some cool sealing arts too. You know, like the one I just did—" He pointed to the scroll still in his hand, its exploding paper tag looking harmless now. "Explosions are art."
Vivi sighed but couldn't help the small smile that tugged at her lips. "You're impossible."
Blizz chuckled. "All part of the charm."
With his chakra more controlled than ever and a newfound confidence, Blizz felt ready for whatever came next. Whether it was Crocodile, Baroque Works, or any other danger the Grand Line could throw at them, he would be ready. But for now, he had to train. Train harder.
