Chapter 80 - A Lesson Written in Blood

"Ha ha… What are you talking about? Firing me? My damn face hurts like hell right now—can you quit making me laugh?"

Zhang Qishan burst out laughing after hearing Fan Qianqian's words.

What a joke! He, Zhang Qishan, was part of Hongda Group—a self-made man who climbed the ranks through sheer talent. Did they actually think they could fire him with just a few words? Who did they think they were?

Su Ming couldn't care less about his impotent rage and said coolly, "You think being a sales manager makes you hot stuff, huh?"

"But let me tell you something: with one word from me, I can crush whatever pride you've got left into dust."

Su Ming's words caught Zhang Qishan off guard for a moment, but then he laughed again. "Su Ming, are you trying to make fun of me? Sure, I don't know where you got all that money, but do you even realize how big Hongda is? It's a multi-billion-dollar company! Your cash wouldn't even be pocket change over there."

"You seriously believe that having a little money and knowing a couple of people gives you the power to mess with my life? Stop dreaming."

"All right, Qishan, enough. Su Ming's clearly lost it since someone ditched him," Ma Qiuqin chimed in helpfully.

"That's enough! Zhang Suyou, get your family out of here—I never want to see any of you again!" Su Changhe finally snapped.

"This is what we call powerless rage, Su Changhe! You know exactly what this is—powerless rage! Ha ha…"

Zhang Qishan threw his head back and laughed heartily.

Just then, a small bird flew overhead.

"Chirp chirp!"

With its cheerful song came an unexpected gift—a tiny bird dropping, no bigger than a fingernail, which landed squarely in Zhang Qishan's open mouth.

"Ha… Cough, cough cough…"

Zhang Qishan started coughing violently, his face turning bright red.

"Ring ring ring…"

Suddenly, Zhang Qishan's phone rang. The custom ringtone made his expression shift slightly, but ignoring the lump in his throat, he quickly answered the call. Before speaking, he swallowed hard, feeling a strange mix of relief and disgust as the bird droppings slid down his throat.

"Holy crap!"

Even Su Ming was stunned, barely holding back his gag reflex.

"Manager!"

Zhang Qishan didn't have time to dwell on anything else; he shouted into the phone.

"Zhang Qishan, starting tomorrow, you don't need to come to work anymore. You're fired."

Beep beep beep…

Zhang Qishan froze, nearly dropping the phone.

"Qishan, what happened? Was it good news? Are they promoting you?" Ma Qiuqin's eyes lit up with excitement, ready to gloat to Su Ming's family.

But Zhang Qishan muttered in disbelief, "Fired… I've been fired…"

"Did you hear that? My son Qishan got pro—"

Ma Qiumei didn't finish her sentence before gasping, "What? Fired?! How could this happen?"

"Thud!"

At that exact moment, Zhang Qishan lost his grip entirely.

The phone hit the ground—and as if mocking him further, it shattered on impact. A sharp shard flew straight toward Zhang Qishan's chin, piercing deeply.

"Ahhhh!"

Blood gushed from his chin, and Zhang Qishan screamed in agony.

"Oh no! Quick, take him to the hospital! Suyou, hurry up!"

Ma Qiuqin panicked, shouting orders.

Zhang Suyou reacted swiftly, helping Zhang Qishan toward the door. But as they reached the entrance, a strong gust of wind slammed the door shut.

"Bang!"

Zhang Qishan, supported by two people, had his head exposed at the front. The door collided directly with his face.

"Ahhhh!"

Another scream escaped his lips. At this point, Zhang Qishan felt like he'd rather die than endure another second of humiliation.

"Oh God, Qishan, I'm so sorry! This is my fault, hurry, Suyou!"

Finally, they managed to shove Zhang Qishan into the car.

"Whose car is blocking the way? Can't they move it? Suyou, just ram it!"

Zhang Sumei, about to climb into the car, spotted Su Ming's Lamborghini parked behind them and yelled impatiently.

Without saying a word, Zhang Suyou started the engine. However, Zhang Qishan glanced quickly and nearly jumped out of his skin. "Dad! Stop, stop! That car costs eighty million!"

Startled, Zhang Suyou accidentally stomped on the gas pedal instead of the brake.

"BOOM!"

The massive front end of their Toyota Prado smashed into the wall of Su Ming's house. The brick wall shook violently, while the car's front crumpled beyond recognition.

"Ahhh!"

"Crack!"

Unlucky Zhang Qishan's head slammed into the front seat, and his neck emitted a sickening crack—he'd dislocated it. The unbearable pain caused everything to go black, and he passed out instantly.

"Qishan! Qishan!"

"Zhang Suyou, you idiot! Can't you drive properly? Waaaah… Qishan, wake up!"

Ma Qiuqin sobbed uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Zhang Suyou apologized frantically, shifting gears and reversing slightly. After several clumsy attempts, they finally maneuvered the car onto the cement road and headed toward the other exit.

"This must be karma biting them back, huh?"

Zhang Sumei watched the retreating car with a smirk.

"Heh… Serves them right," Su Changhe sneered.

"The Bad Luck Card sure is something else!"

Su Ming was utterly amazed by the card's effects—but unbeknownst to him, the misfortunes were far from over.

After arriving at the hospital, Ma Qiuqin decided to fetch a wheelchair for Zhang Qishan. Unfortunately, she pushed it backward. As they crossed a bump between two sections of flooring, the wheelchair collapsed unexpectedly.

Zhang Qishan crashed to the ground, and his already fragile neck suffered yet another severe blow. And that was only the beginning—a series of increasingly tragic mishaps followed, each more horrifying than the last.

"Ding! Congratulations, Host! Task completed. You've received a Small Foundation Pill, now stored in your personal space. (Note: The Small Foundation Pill enhances vitality, strengthens the foundation, and clears hidden ailments. Effects are immediate!)"

"Perfect timing. I'll give this to Mom and Dad—it should boost their health significantly."

Su Ming glanced at the pill in his inventory with satisfaction.

"Son, what's going on? How did Qianqian manage to get Zhang Qishan fired with just one phone call?"

Before Su Ming could utter a word, Fan Qianqian quickly interjected, "Auntie, you have no idea! Su Ming is actually the mastermind behind Hongda Group. Even the chairman takes orders from him!"

"What? Fan Qianqian, don't try to fool me. Are you telling me this young man is someone of such stature?" Zhang Sumei's face was etched with skepticism.

Su Ming sighed inwardly. "Mom, just how little faith do you have in your own son? Am I really your flesh and blood? With my system backing me up, I'm practically invincible—like a living, breathing secret weapon."

"Auntie, when have I ever lied to you?" Fan Qianqian replied, struggling to suppress her amusement as she caught sight of Su Ming's exasperated expression.
