Rose didn't know how to approach him, she slowly ate her burger and fries giving secret glances at Dominic. suddenly she started to wonder how he has been all this time and what sort of explanation he would give for not reaching out but all this was if the ,man confirmed he was that Dominic she knew. Suddenly every breath felt loud and every time she swallowed her throat made loud noises, Rose felt warmer than usual. All the feelings she had kept bottled up for eighteen years were reaching out hoping that it would be him, hoping she would have the perfect reason to forgive her past. She glanced at him once more and saw him glancing back at her, a sudden rush of blood for a moment crossed her body as it had skipped a beat. The weight of their past would still test the strength of her love for this man and this angered Rose as she finished up her burger "Maybe i should leave the past where it was born." she exclaimed as she looked at him with one last glance of love, Dominic caught this glance and his heart broke. After everything she had gone through because of his family she still had the strength to look at him like that, then he too must have the strength to face her or he will regret every day of his life as he had since that day. He was distraught with a heavy burden as he walked over to her with the bill and a card machine, every breath from the two was heavy with longing and nostalgia. Nostalgia is the killer of dreams in love, and the two of them once one cursed the other for the longest time and one disgusted with himself for the longest time finally saw the end of their suffering at hand but the invisible barrier of their past blocking them. She took her card out and as she reached out to take the machine from him their hands collided but they both did not react for internally they were a storm, Rose felt her youth ignited once more as an electric shock zapped her pink fingers. Although they were distant their hearts danced in a waltz, she finished the payment and he gave her the receipt. Rose stood up to leave as soon as she got her receipt, Dominic grew evermore nervous as he stopped her "Wait!" Rose wanted to stop but she wouldn't make things easy for him, after all he could have reached out but didn't for eighteen years. Dominic wasn't sure about what he was about to do but speaking truthfully they didn't know each other now after all eighteen years is a long time, he reached out and held her forearm and spoke once more "Please wait! Rose, please!" She turned in a fury to face the man, but she only saw the boy. In the heavy glow of the afternoon sun her hair glowed a faint golden glow and her sky blue eyes glowed like diamonds as she stood there sun kissed, "There are many things i want to say but i cant say them in public given their private nature, would you allow me a moment of your time?" Dominic asked her and before she could say yes he read her lips and pulled her towards the elevator, as he led the way she saw a glimpse of the love they shared, the only love she ever knew.
The distant echoes of 'Anyone' started playing in the restaurant as they waited for the elevator, standing there she saw her hand enveloped in his like it always was. He looked down towards her and his eyes sparkled for a while, he was freaking out internally because he really didn't know what to say to her and Rose saw this from the slight tremble on his other hand and she held on tighter to his hand. Puzzled at her sudden break of feelings he tried hug her and comfort her but Rose pushed him away as she turned to face the other way, she quickly wiped her tears and adorned a serious face. Rose looked at him again and suddenly she broke out in laughter and spoke "You had better concocted the greatest lie ever told or i wont believe anything you say" Dominic was absolutely puzzled by her continuous change of moods and suddenly she was between his arms and time slowed down as she leaned in to kiss the unsuspecting man, their lips locked and they embraced a long lost love. Their hands caressed all over each other as they shared each other, the sudden stop of the elevator broke their moment although it was a short time it was all they ever wanted for the longest time. Taking heavy breaths they acted nonchalant as three more people came into the elevator, Rose and Dominic stared at each other and exchanged secret smiles but one of the women in the elevator caught on to what was happening and giggled outwards then cleared her throat. Realizing they were not children anymore their hands firmly held together, and all their lost years began to catch up. They left the elevator upon reaching the ground floor and headed straight to the parking lot, "My car is this way, we can talk in there." it was a two door Mercedes AMG with a mat grey color, they sat inside and Dominic began to tell his story. "I don't know exactly how to tell you everything I'm about to say but i hope you believe me, everything started that day when you had missed your period. I didn't want you to keep the baby because i had no means of protecting you from the horrors my family would inflict on you, back then it was already decided that i would be the crown prince but my twin brother Ian didn't like it at all. He continued to speak on the situation and she just stared at him and she lamented inwardly "you really never changed after everything you had to go through, i refused to love anyone else because i had used up all my faith, hope and love on the world we were going to build. I was really made to love you with all my heart, the reason i was ever strong was because i believed in us" and her thoughts were visible through her clear blue eyes.
