Chapter 3 - Revised: Chapter 3 Encounter

Leaving the KTV, Bi Xia stood expressionlessly on the crosswalk after countless turns. If he wasn't mistaken, he had circled this area five or six times by now.

Although he had a poor sense of direction, Bi Xia never imagined that even after being reborn, he still couldn't remember the way home.

Usually, 007, the nagging spirit, would remind him and act as his navigation map. But considering the spirit had saved him, now a lifesaver, he didn't think it was worth waking it up for something so trivial.

Thinking of this, Bi Xia muttered with a stern face, "Damn it."

As soon as the words left his mouth, a car horn suddenly blared.

With the sharp, piercing sound of the horn, Bi Xia looked up to see a silver car rushing towards him at high speed.

Seeing the car about to hit him, Bi Xia frowned slightly and immediately calculated an escape route. However, the situation indicated that this time he wouldn't escape without injury.

He moved his right leg back slightly, just about to start running when, at the last second, the car swerved sharply away from him. At that moment, the car door opened. Bi Xia felt an overwhelming surge of spiritual power crashing towards him, followed by a shadow pouncing straight at him from the car.

Caught off guard, he was enveloped in a tight embrace and rolled over several times on the ground. Eventually stopping, he felt the warm breath near his ear, and, feeling uncomfortable, he pushed the person away, only to find his hand wet and warm.

The smell of iron hit him. Bi Xia frowned—it was the scent of blood.

The person on top of him moved, quickly helping Bi Xia to his feet, their eyes cold as they looked at the cars parked by the roadside. The person then pulled Bi Xia close, protecting her.

"Now's your chance, run."

That person's voice was cold and icy, the mental impact making Bi Xia's face pale. But despite this, Bi Xia found the voice surprisingly soothing, like a breeze bringing calm and stability.

What the hell, that voice is absolutely beautiful!

Reflecting on it, Bi Xia recalled a principle: men with pleasant voices usually aren't... ideal in appearance. With this thought, Bi Xia looked up at the person, caught slightly off guard by what he saw.

Deep brown eyes shimmered with golden light under the sun, so captivating one could hardly look away. Despite the warmth, they contained a chilling darkness and malice.

A high nose bridge, deep eye sockets, and exquisite features.

Sharp eyebrows, slightly parted thin lips, exuding an aura of authority without anger.

On closer inspection, his black suit was stained with blood. Standing there motionless, he seemed unaware of pain, like an aloof and haughty emperor.

Yet, for some reason, Bi Xia didn't sense his coldness and hardness. Instead, she felt comfort and warmth, a spiritual connection easing her previously tense nerves.

The sound of car doors closing brought Bi Xia back to reality. She turned to see a group of people getting out of those cars.

Under normal circumstances, Bi Xia would have left already, but being a sucker for good looks, and this person being on par with her own, it would be a pity if he got beaten up.

Most importantly, having just been reborn, she was still riding a wave of excitement. For Bi Xia, the more fights now, the better.

Bi Xia crossed her arms, clicked her tongue, and stepped out from behind the young man, saying to him, "Seems like you've gotten yourself into trouble."

Hearing Bi Xia's words, the young man withdrew his gaze and looked at the child beside him.

"Looks like you ran into trouble before I did."

Looking at himself, he clicked his tongue.

Just returned, and not only was he all wet, but he also had Zhou Wei's bloodstains on him, not to mention a bruise at the corner of his mouth. Disdainfully clicking his tongue, it indeed wasn't a pretty sight.

He pouted, "That was because I was useless before."

The young man gave no reaction to Bi Xia's abrupt remark, merely remained expressionless. But as he lowered his gaze to the star-like eyes beneath the messy long black hair, his sword-like brows raised.

Extremely beautiful eyes, capturing the brilliance of the galaxy, exceptionally clear and captivating.

Those eyes held no fear, instead curiosity, as she stood beside him, with a blank face but a calm demeanor, speaking the first words to him.

The young man, rarely intrigued, looked at Bi Xia, his cold voice tinged with allure, "You mean you're very capable?"

"Heh, not worse than you."

Hearing the boy's words, the young man remained non-committal but asked, "How do you know they're bad and I'm good?"

"Black suits, mandatory sunglasses, each holding a stick or machete. Isn't that the standard bad guy gear? Truly never changes."

Bi Xia glanced at the young man and continued, "I didn't say you're good. Given the current situation, you saved me and got hurt, though you're in a suit but missing the sunglasses and stick."

"So, compared to them, they look more like the bad guys."

The young man, never having heard such a viewpoint, looked at the people approaching him and found they matched Bi Xia's description. His lips curved slightly.

"Since you know they're bad, kid, are you afraid?" The young man casually tugged at the collar of his white shirt, stepping forward to stand in front of Bi Xia, calmly watching the approaching people.

Bi Xia lowered her head slightly, then stepped up beside the young man, looking up with a blank face, "It's just a fight, what's there to be afraid of?"

Her gaze slowly fell on those people, her star-like eyes shining, "Now you're the one hurt, not me."

Having just returned and already fought twice, what phenomenal luck!

The young man's deep brown phoenix eyes narrowed slightly but remained silent, taking a step forward, his cold aura spreading instantly.

Black eyes clashed with golden-flecked phoenix eyes, one indifferent and relaxed, the other cold and domineering.

It was like a starting signal. As the men in black rushed at them, Bi Xia moved first.

With power from her right foot, she leaped and kicked one attacker, spun, and lashed another with a leg whip.

Before that person fell, Bi Xia stepped on his shoulder and propelled backward, flipping and grabbing the hair of the person behind her, using the momentum to pull him down, bending slightly, and side-stepping to throw him heavily to the ground.

Slightly out of breath, Bi Xia frowned and shook her shoulder. She didn't expect that after all those years of training in the dimension, fighting just a few people would tire her so much.

A gust of wind came from behind, Bi Xia quickly turned and lashed out with a leg whip, kicking the attacking stick high into the air, followed by a double kick, knocking down the attacking brute.

She caught the falling stick and coldly looked at the fallen men around her, waving the stick lightly. Suddenly, she sensed a strong energy fluctuation behind her, turned in surprise to see.

Just in time to witness the young man grabbing an enemy's arm with a slight movement, the sound of bones breaking, and the arm being dislocated. Moreover, the number of people down at his feet exceeded hers.

The young man looked stern, with a trace of frost in his phoenix eyes.

He stood there calmly, slightly tilting his head to undo the top button of his shirt, revealing the solid muscles underneath, fitting the description of looking slim in clothes but muscular unveiled.

However... Her gaze fell on the blood-red stain on the white shirt, anyone could tell this impassive young man was injured.

While Bi Xia observed the young man, he was also observing her.

He had to admit, the boy he saved on a whim was quite surprising.

Fearless and bold, with impressive skills, if trained properly, he would become a formidable talent, truly... fitting his personality, interesting.
