Jack's POV
I planned to work overnight. I already sent Katherine a text not to wait up for me, not that I thought she would anyways. I was distracted for hours after Melissa's call that I hadn't been able to get to work on time. I also didn't want to get home and tell Katherine she might still have to deal with Melissa.
I knew how much Katherine hated Melissa and was bothered by her. Telling Katherine about Melissa wasn't a conversation I was ready to have.
I figured I was going to avoid Katherine for a while till I could figure out exactly what Melissa had on me and how to get rid of her completely.
Taylor walked into my office two minutes past eight. "Aren't you going home?"
"I'm not." I replied without looking up from my computer. "You've asked me that multiple times in the last two hours."
"Because you were meant to leave two hours ago."
I finally raised my head up to look at him. "Are you going to snitch on me to my grandfather?" I stared, daring him to do so.
