Chapter 17 - 17. Shut up!

"Don't 'But, Rahul' me!" The boy stood up from the table and when he looked at his relative, flames sparkled in his eyes that did not bode well for the person to whom they were addressed. Etele shuddered for a moment at the sight, even though he knew that Rahul was incapable of harming him because one, he was already dead, two, the boy didn't have his skull. Yet this look froze the blood that no longer existed in him.

"Why the hell did you have to tell him, huh?!" Rhaul pounced on his relative and picked up the first object he could get his hands on. "Now because of you, I'm stuck here alone, on a damn floating rock!" He continued to growl.

"Rahul, I..." Etele began, but the boy didn't let him talk for long.

"Shut up!" He gripped the object in his hand firmer.

"But I..." The ghost muttered.

"I said, shut up!" Rahul shouted at the top of his lounghs and threw the object in his hand, which flew straight towards Etele, who looked at it with wide eyes, until it passed through his body and when the small object hit the wall and broke into pieces, the ghost relative evaporated in the air. Rahul's hands were clenched into fists and he was struggling to breathe, but his anger turned to panic in an instant when he saw the small shards of glass left from his weapon at the base of the wall. Frightened, he turned towards the table and, as he had guessed, the glass plate with which he could have read the texts disappeared.

"Hooray!" The boy dug into his hair and let out a loud moan. "What the hell should I do now?" He asked himself as he looked around the small cottage. His eyes fell on a mural. "It's like..." He stepped closer to it, then smiled broadly. "Vanne!" He spoke, and the dragon appeared in front of him out of nowhere.

"Did you need me, master?" Came the question, and Rahul nodded.

"Can you read them?" The boy asked and pointed to the scrolls lying on the table. The dragon lowered itself onto the small table, which shook beneath him, but remained standing. Vanne looked at the unfolded scroll curiously, then slowly turned to Rahul.

"I'm sorry master, I don't understand this writing." He lowered his head, and Rahul looked up at the ceiling and groaned, then sat down next to the table and stroked the dragon's head.

"No problem." He finally said. "Thank you for trying. You can leave now if you want." He took his hand off the dragon's back and turned to the text.

"Goodbye, master." He heard, but he just waved at the dragon. Finally, with a big sigh, Rahul looked seriously down at the scroll in front of him for the first time, and his eyebrows shot up in surprise and disappeared under his bangs.

"This?" He leaned closer to the paper. "Oh, I understand this." He grinned. "Maybe I will still live." He sighed and started to study the text. Somehow, in the middle of the night, he woke up to a huge knocking sound, he immediately straightened himself to look for the source of the noise and it took him a while to realize that his earring was the thing that knocked on the table.

"I should sleep." He squeezed his eyes shut and stumbled into the back room to take a nap. The next morning, after a quick meal, he sat back in front of the scroll and continued reading. To his greatest surprise, his reading was much more exciting than he expected, so he was able to memorize the gist almost immediately and completely immerse himself in learning.

"Get up, we're going home!" The sudden voice shook the boy cold, and when he looked up he found himself facing Master Mo, whose hands were clenched into fists and whose shoulders were tensed, as if something big had happened. "You can take what you haven't finished with." The master waved when Rahul stood up.

"I already finished, there was just something I looked over again." The boy explained. "Is there something wrong, Master Mo? Something happened? You seem upset." He tried to ask about it as politely as he could, because he couldn't say to the man, 'Why are you angry, what's wrong? You're oozing with negativity that even makes me feel bad!'

"The hegins found the current location of my house earlier than usual. I have to leave quickly, but first I have to get you all back to the place of the competition." The man finally explained and left the house. "The next time we have a chance, I'll ask you what you've learned, but now we have to hurry." Rahul just nodded at his words, because who is he to oppose a person with much more knowledge than him?

In the end, they got back to the Valley of Floating Rocks much faster than they had left it yesterday, and if he was being honest, Rahul didn't mind at all that he didn't have to walk all the way through the rocks again, instead he just had to endure the few seconds that Master Mo jumped over with him from one rock to another.

On the rock floating in the strange valley between the Karrabata mountains, from which he had left yesterday, he now met his team, who greeted him with grins. However, they did not have much time for greetings, as Mo Ching almost immediately kicked them out of his house with some strange sign he had drawn on the floor, from which a bright light emanated. When Rahul regained his sight, he was again surrounded by mountains and no matter where he looked, he saw no sign of the floating rocks.

"This time he didn't send us as close as he usually does." Teveli noted.

"Let's be glad that he sent us away at all and didn't kick our asses off the edge of the cliff." Benkó snapped at him, which managed to break out Rahul in cold sweat.

"Boss, what are we doing now?" Wandi asked, while the whole team looked at Razvan.

"First of all, we are looking for accommodation for the night." He said seriously.

"Wait a minute, Master Mo kicked us out!" Citar exclaimed, then turned to the Chüvigh boy with pleading eyes. "Rahul what will be for dinner?" He asked, only for Achilleus to hit him in the back of the head.

"Why the Fene are you asking the newbie?" The boy grimaced.

"Boar." Rahul spoke, then looked at Citar questioningly. "Are there wild boars here?" The Bolacsuk boy just grinned at that and nodded, but the movement stopped halfway.

"Now why didn't you do the something?" He shaked his hand in front of his face.

"It's only necessary so that even idiots like you can understand." Rahul folded his arms in front of him.

"You see the future?" Benkó stepped next to Rahul with an enthusiastic look. The boy nodded timidly. "What will the weather be like tomorrow?" Came the question, then about ten more, before Rahul pressed his right hand on his forehead and raised his left.

"The sun will shine, we don't have to go far, the evening will be safe, blue, and they will come from the north on the backs of strange creatures, and from the east under some white cloak and..." Here he lowered his hand. "I've reached my limit." He moaned before his eyes widened and his body began to move towards the ground. The only thing that saved him from the painful fall was that Razvan was immediately at his side and caught him.

"Congratulations, you've exhausted him." The boss of the Athamanas grunted and took the boy, wheezing deeply, in his arms. "There must be a suitable cave for us nearby. Let's find it and then you can go hunting." He glanced grumpily at the team, then started up the mountainside with Rahul in his arms, who in his deep sleep rested his head on the Zaukán boy's shoulder, and when Razvan looked down at him, he saw that Rahul's lips were parted and he seemed to be mumbling something. "You can't stop even in your dreams, right dlimild?" He smiled and pulled the boy closer to him.
