Chapter 145 - Chapter 145: Eto's Exclamation

Whether it was Anteiku or the 24th Ward, these were all places Uchiha Byakuya had been before.

As long as he had been somewhere, he could achieve precise spatial transfer.

However, he had never been to the underground world, so he couldn't directly use Kamui's space transfer to teleport there.

"Hmm, this is the 24th Ward. The Washuu clan's people have probably already reached the underground world. We need to hurry as well."

Byakuya said.

After speaking, he took Yoshimura Eto's hand.

Using "Double Kamui", he could perform short-range teleportation without needing to pass through Kamui's dimension.

Since "Double Kamui" could open multiple spatial vortexes at the same time, one on himself and another at a target location within his line of sight; he could simply step through one "gate" and emerge from the other.

If it was a long-distance transfer beyond his line of sight, he would have to pass through Kamui's dimension first.

Since Byakuya had never been to the underground world, he couldn't use Kamui's dimension for long-range teleportation there. After all, blindly warping to a place he had never visited was unrealistic.

"So fast..."

Feeling her body being continuously teleported by Byakuya, Eto couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.

This was far faster than flying in her kakuja form, so much so that the two weren't even on the same level.

It was practically identical to the "instant teleportation" abilities found in novels and manga.

"Is this also a power of your eyes?"

Eto couldn't help but ask.

"Yes."

Byakuya nodded slightly.

"Seriously... just your eyes alone are full of mysteries."

Eto sighed.

She had known Byakuya for a long time now, yet suddenly, she felt as though she didn't understand him at all.

She hadn't even had the chance to ask about his over ten-meter-tall kakuja form, and now he was displaying yet another ability that left her astonished.

Soon, Byakuya located the entrance to the underground world.

Although the series of spatial transfers had consumed a considerable amount of his RC cell reserves and ocular power, his physique and RC cell value were strong enough to sustain him for the upcoming battle against the Washuu clan.

And even if he did run low, he had plenty of stat points stored up.

"So this is the underground world? I've been in the 24th Ward for years, and this is the first time I've even heard about it..."

At this moment, Eto spoke.

Although a large number of ghouls lived in the 24th Ward, very few ever ventured too deep inside.

After all, the deeper regions contained nothing at all; not even other ghouls to cannibalize.

Thus, Eto had never come this far before.

"This was caused by the First One-Eyed King. After 'Dragonization,' he destroyed all of Tokyo, and everything sank underground along with him. The Tokyo that exists on the surface now is a rebuilt version."

Byakuya briefly explained, "The Washuu clan must have come down here targeting the First One-Eyed King's 'Dragon' body."

"So there was such a hidden truth… No wonder the First One-Eyed King is a taboo for the Washuu clan…"

Eto immediately understood.

She had known about the First One-Eyed King but had never known about this underground world.

People today had no idea that Tokyo had once been destroyed. Any information related to this had likely been completely sealed off by the Washuu Clan, otherwise it would have affected their status and reputation.

Upon landing, Byakuya and Eto were met with the sight of a lifeless city.

The most striking thing, however, was the Dragon; the sheer visual impact it created was astonishing.

This was also the first time Eto had ever seen such a terrifying colossal creature with her own eyes. The Dragon's body stretched so far that its end was completely out of sight.

However, it was obvious that they hadn't landed at the same location as the Washuu clan. Within Byakuya's field of vision, he didn't see any sign of the Washuu members.

"The underground world is almost as big as Tokyo's surface. Finding those guys won't be easy, but at least we can react quickly to any unexpected situations."

Byakuya scanned the surroundings but still didn't see any trace of the Washuu members.

Now that he had set foot in the underground world, he could teleport here freely via Kamui's space transfer in the future.

"Let's take a look around first. I'm quite interested in this 'Dragon's' body."

Eto said.

Byakuya nodded slightly. He also wanted to examine this Dragon's corpse to determine whether it still held any value; this was something that could bring about major breakthroughs in medical science.

But at the same time, it was a double-edged sword.

In the original story, Furuta Nimura had stated that the First One-Eyed King could share his life force with others, but in doing so, he had also caused massive destruction.

Since the Washuu members had specifically escaped from the CCG to come here, it indicated that the Dragon's body might not be completely dead.

At that moment, three small figures suddenly emerged from the shadows.

Byakuya's reaction speed needed no explanation. He instantly flashed to the three little figures, pinning two of them to the ground with a swift reverse grip.

Immediately after, Eto restrained the third one.

"Nee-chan, if you're not obedient, you're going to get your butt spanked~"

Eto said with a playful smile.

At the same time, she was internally surprised, she hadn't expected anyone to still be alive in this place.

The three small figures were all girls and native residents of the underground world.

And… all three had dead fish eyes.

The Three Sisters of the Underground

"I'm not your enemy. But if you insist on fighting, don't blame me for being merciless."

Byakuya said in a calm, emotionless tone.

He then released the two little girls he had pinned down. He hadn't used much force in the first place, so they were basically unharmed.

The two of them immediately scrambled up from the ground; their faces clearly drenched in cold sweat from fear, yet they still forced themselves to act defiant and aggressive.

"Come at me!"

One of the little girls rolled up her sleeves, looking like she was about to throw down.

"Are you gonna boil us all into stew?!"

Another little girl tried to put on a fierce expression and questioned Byakuya.

"No… like I just said, I'm not your enemy."

Byakuya was already aware that there were underground residents here, so he wasn't particularly surprised by their presence.

However, their heavily accented Japanese made it somewhat hard to understand.

At this moment, Eto also released the girl she had been holding down.

"Nee-san here doesn't intend to hurt you either. We're not going to eat you."

Eto said with a smile.
