Chapter 83 - Match 1: Ulquiorra Cifer (Sloth) vs. Aaroniero Arruruerie (Greed) (83)

After Lucius almost crashed out, the next fight would be with the Sin.

So, as of now, the lesser Sin rankings were in:

Lucius (Pride)Lilith (Lust)Lázaro (Envy)Shawlong (Wrath)Zommari (Sloth)Voraz (Greed)Gula (Gluttony)

Lázaro was beaten by Lilith. The woman who claimed she barely had any energy apparently had enough energy to release her Resurrección.

Lucius was not happy about his win. He called BS.

POV Change

"You did well."

Lucius looked happy—he was being praised by his majesty.

"I am looking forward to your growth," Gabriel said in a calm voice.

The man nodded his head. Receiving his majesty's praise was enough.

After he left, Gabriel sighed. He had shown progress, and his mentality was good. Being a bit selfish helped with that. He was just a bit too prideful—reason why he had put him under Nel. If anyone could fix it, it would probably be her.

She was doing great so far.

Now for the main event. He watched as twenty or so Arrancar set up barriers, and the arena expanded. The shit that could be done.

Anyway, if Gabriel ever found humans with Hollow powers like he had as a human, he was 100% offering them protection from any harm. They were part of his kingdom, after all.

Hm, food for thought. He had to inscribe some Shinigami Kido spells into his body later.

You know, so he could spam strong Kido techniques while he fought. You know, the shit.

Anyway, he gazed at the arena, ready to witness the fight that was about to unfold.

POV Change

The arena remained silent as Ulquiorra Cifer stepped forward, his cold, expressionless face betraying nothing. Across from him stood Aaroniero Arruruerie, the Espada of Greed, his towering, amorphous body pulsating with the shifting mass of devoured souls.

Aaroniero's gurgling chuckle echoed as he regarded Ulquiorra. "Hoh? The infamous Sin of Sloth? How fitting. You look like you couldn't care less about this fight."

Ulquiorra simply stared, his gaze vacant. "Observation: Correct."

Aaroniero smirked. "Then why not just surrender? You don't seem to have any drive, any ambition. It's pathetic, really."

Ulquiorra's wings shifted slightly, dust scattering from the gentle movement. "Incorrect. You assume my lack of outward emotion equates to a lack of will. That assumption is flawed."

Aaroniero sneered. "Tch. Whatever. It doesn't matter. In the end, your power will be mine."

Aaroniero's arrogance came from the fact that no one had seen Ulquiorra fight, so no one apart from Nel could guess how strong he was.

His majesty, however, knew exactly how strong Ulqui-boy was.

BZZZT—BOOM!

Aaroniero struck first, his form twisting grotesquely as multiple appendages shot out, mimicking the attacks of countless warriors he had devoured. Spears of bone, whips of energy, and jagged blades all lashed toward Ulquiorra.

Ulquiorra did not move.

The attacks reached him—

And then, in a blur of speed—

BZZZT—BOOM!

He was behind Aaroniero.

A single blackened hand rested against Aaroniero's massive, bulbous head.

"Cero Oscuras."

FWOOOOOM!

A black pillar of destruction erupted, annihilating the upper half of Aaroniero's body in an instant.

The air went dead silent.

Ulquiorra, in front of everyone, had practically one-shotted the man—all while having one hand in his pocket, being all nonchalant and shit.

This fight was truly a massacre. Free eats for the nihilistic Y/N.

Aaroniero's remains lurched and convulsed, his form attempting to reconstitute, but—

BZZZT—BOOM!

Ulquiorra moved again. He wasn't done yet.

A clean, silent slash.

A perfect decapitation.

Aaroniero's head hit the ground with a wet thud, his body freezing as realization dawned. His remaining eyes twitched, his mouth gurgling out some final protest, some plea for survival.

But Ulquiorra?

He had already turned away.

"You were weak. That is all."

Ulqui-boy had done it. He had one-shotted a Sin. A weak Sin, yet a Sin nonetheless. This was not a feat just anyone could do.

Aaroniero may have been the weakest Sin, but he could box pretty well with Captain-level Shinigami. Compared to his canon self, who lost to someone who was Lieutenant-level if we were being generous, if he were to fight that Rukia—even if she had Bankai—and the Yamcha of the Bleach world were to jump him...

He would win. Easy diff.

He would stalemate, if not beat, Byakuya. Anything above that, though, became quite frisky.

Aaroniero wasn't dead. His healing factor would help him survive this. It was just that his matchup was just bad. Like, if he had faced anyone else that wasn't the nihilistic Y/N, Belial, Nel, or the King's wife, he would have been fine. Against everyone else, he could at least give them a run for their money.

That included Grimmjow. Sure, he would lose, but it wouldn't be that bad. Come on.

This further reinforced the fact that he was the weakest by a long shot—when that wasn't the truth. That title fell to Yammy.

The man may have had a lot of power, but with his stupidity, he could literally get killed by an Adjucha.

Just a regular Adjucha.

And mind you, Yammy was a Vasto Lorde before he became an Arrancar, so he was just special like that.

A/N.

Hm
