"Harry, honey, you'll be late for your field trip." Harry heard his mother call.
"Don't worry, I'll be right down," Fifteen-year-old Harry called back as he stared at himself in the mirror. He was currently wearing red and black trainers, blue jeans, and a white shirt along with an open black hoodie. His hair was as untamable as ever and his emerald green eyes shined as brightly as always. A huge part of him was glad that after the first week of school he had been able to convince his parents to let him dress how he wanted.
He picked up his backpack and headed downstairs where he found his mother waiting for him at the foot of the stairs.
"You're going to be late, Harry." She frowned, standing with her weight leaning on one leg and her arms crossed. "You're the one who was excited about going to this science exhibit in the first place."
"Sorry, Mum," Harry apologised as he quickly leaned up and kissed her on the cheek. "where's Dad?"
"Your father was called in for an emergency at work, now do you have everything you need?" She asked as she reached her hands out and straightened up his clothes.
"Yep," Harry nodded. "oh, and Peter's coming over here after to…"
"Yes, yes, I remember," She cut him off before kissing him on the forehead. "will Gwen be coming as well?"
"Not really, she's got stuff to do at home." Harry shrugged.
"Well, give her my best, now go ahead and enjoy yourself."
"Thanks," Harry grinned before walking to the exit. "love you, Mum." He called over his shoulder.
"Love you too, dear." He heard her call back, he was positive that she was smiling at him.
...
"Thanks, Arnold," Harry said as he got out of the car, having arrived outside of the building where the science exhibit was being held.
"You're welcome," Arnold, the Osborn family's driver, replied. "do you need anything else before I go?"
"Not really, enjoy your day," Harry said before slinging his backpack over his shoulders.
"Thanks, you too, I'll pick you up at the usual time." Arnold nodded before the car windows rolled up and he drove off. Harry turned around and saw Peter and Gwen walking towards him.
"Hey guys," Harry smiled as the two approached him. Peter was wearing a pair of brown shoes, blue jeans and a green flannel shirt while Gwen was dressed in knee-high brown shoes, a purple skirt and a white shirt plus her green hairband. "how are you guys doing?"
"Great," Gwen smiled brightly, looking a lot prettier than before since she had lost her braces and now no wore her glasses since she had chosen to get contact lenses just like Harry, eventually Peter followed in her direction and ditched the glasses for contacts as well. "come on, we need to meet the others there."
"This is unbelievable," Peter said as the trio walked over to the spot where they could see the rest of the students gathering. "I've heard a lot about this place, apparently they're one of the best when it comes to studying radiation. I've heard that Doctor Bruce Banner even worked with them before and that guy is like a master in all things radiation."
"It's definitely a great place, that's why Dad is looking to buy it," Harry replied.
"Are you serious?" Gwen blinked.
"No joke," Harry confirmed. "from what I understand, Oscorp is currently in negotiations with the company's owner."
"Great, if your dad buys it then we could have unlimited access to it." Peter grinned.
"And do what?" Harry snorted with amusement. "We'd probably end up breaking something."
"I don't know about that," Peter responded. "between the three of us, we could probably do something groundbreaking. We are the smartest brains in the world."
"In the world?" Gwen laughed lightly. "We're the smartest brains in our school."
"Our school is our world so it counts," Peter argued. "besides, our competition here is very…" Peter trailed off and stared at Flash who was laughing along with the rest of his friends. "… underwhelming."
"Well, to be fair, the majority of the school is a lot smarter than Flash," Gwen commented.
"So is the majority of the planet," Harry said, glancing at Flash who was now placing an arm around Liz Allen.
