Mahito crawled through the dark sewers, dragging his injured body as he moved closer to the exit. He pulled up his body and leaned against the wall.
'So, that's the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. His current cursed energy is inferior to Jogo's. However, his presence... his soul is on a completely different level,' Mahito mused with a calculating grin.
'I'm certain now. Even if we were wiped out, the era of curses can begin as long as Sukuna is resurrected,' he thought with determination, wriggling his fingers in anticipation.
But as his mind wandered, his thoughts turned to Izuku Midoriya, 'But it's so troublesome... I really want to kill Izuku Midoriya now!' he exclaimed inwardly, clenching his hand into a fist.
Mahito stretched his arms above his head, a cruel smile twisting his lips. "I'm feeling so impatient!" he declared. "But forget it. Unlike the body, the soul can be killed many times."
------------------------------------------------------------
Waking up a bit, he felt his body was sluggish as he got up from a makeshift bed, giseyes then traveled towards the katana that...for some reason....was floating near him.
"...the fuck?"
'You're not the only one who's thinking about it...I'm seriously confused on what the fuck rhay katana really is'
'We both know that's a mystery all to itself...and I really don't want to brainstorm it'
Izuku thought as he grabbed the katana which vibrated in glee.
"Weren't you told to rest?" Nanami asked with a stern voice.
Izuku, who entered only sighed as he asked, "Is this my lecture?"
Both of them were standing inside the morgue, staring at the rows of body bags lined up on the tables.
"I have no lecture for someone who saved my life," Nanami replied.
"Me? Is this the end of the world?" Izuku asked while looking around which got Nanami to raised his eyebrows at the boy.
"That Patchface's cursed technique can interfere with other people's souls. You made him touch Sukuna's soul when you invaded his domain. Thanks to you, I'm saved," Nanami said.
"But the fact that I didn't switch with him"
Nanami clarified, "Sukuna didn't come out. Instead, our opponent went in."
"Then I wasn't the one who saved you. Sukuna did it on a whim."
'Honestly I wasn't even focusing on him...but if he's alive then that's fine...I can look at his jawline more'
'Dude....Seriously?'
'I like chiseled jawlines! So what!'
Izuku sighed while his voice was laddened with guilt as he said, "Nanami, I killed humans today. People will die. It's inevitable. But I want their deaths to be justified, at least. That was what I was thinking…"
"That's why I only think about not pulling the trigger. But now that I pulled the trigger myself, I don't understand it anymore. What's the right way to die?"
"I don't know either," Nanami replied. "The good should die peacefully and the bad should have a horrible death, but most people are neither good nor evil. I believe that all deaths come to all people differently, and giving proper guidance to all the souls will surely be arduous. I personally don't recommend it."
Nanami continued, "Even so, you'll still try to do it." His gaze lingered on Izuku with a thoughtful expression, "Just be careful not to die."
Izuku's grip on the railings grew tighter.
Nanami added, "Just as I would've died today if you weren't there, you'll find more people in need of your help in the future. Since you're a Jujutsu Sorcerer now, Midoriya-kun." He then turned to leave.
But before he could, Izuku called out to him, "Nanami...Right now...I want to send Junpei home, I intend to spend a week with him at his house. He shouldn't be alone right now, not after everything that has happened. You should know that during our battle I asked him to join Jujutsu High and work with us to take down Mahito and his partners. He seemed on the verge of agreeing, but that was the heat of the moment. Even though his Mom is ok...I want to protect him in case Mahito comes back for him or his mother who's in a coma and give him time to adjust and when he's done, we'll have that conversation again. I won't put pressure on him, and I'll make sure he understands exactly what he is getting himself into, but naturally, I'm hoping he'll join us." Izuku explained his reasoning.
"My natural instinct is to outright refuse your request. However, it's not right to protect a child from the opportunity to grow and mature. Being over protective can stifle the growth of a child. So, I'll allow it, on the condition that you accept that there will be 24 hour surveillance on the both of you, and of course, on the condition that you write out a full report on the events of today as soon as you get home, and when I say full report, I mean full. Leave out no detail whatsoever!" Nanami said uncompromisingly.
"You have my word." Izuku said with a firm nod of the head.
"Good! Now wait here until we have organized your security detail. Do not leave until then!"
He then leaves with Izuku sighing as he pulls out the katana, "I wonder...should I name you?"
'Why give it name?'
'...so that it feels wanted'
'...go for it I ain't stopping you'
'How about...Ryōba?'
As Izuku thought of this, the katana itself vibrated as if it heard Izuku's thoughts which got the boy to chuckle.
"Alright then...Ryōba it is"
------------------------------------------------------------
"Put it in the box when you're done. You don't need to write your names," The teacher instructed as the students began filling out the questionnaire on bullying.
Meanwhile, Sotomura sat face to face with Ito, his expression serious as he spoke, "So it was you who injured Yoshino, Ito."
Ito's response was laced with sarcasm as he retorted, "I don't want to be scolded by someone too afraid to act. He's quit school and moved away, can't we forget about it?"
Ito's face was covered in bandages as he added, "My left hand can't even move anymore since then."
Sotomura remained steadfast in his response, "I'm not asking about the injury, I'm asking about the crime you committed. You need to reflect on it and consider it as your punishment."
With a dry chuckle, Ito countered, "And what about your punishment?"
Sotomura's response was solemn as he said, "It's coming. I need to take a good look at the things I didn't see clearly. Whether it's me or you, we'll carry the sin of ruining Yoshino's heart forever."
He looked at Ito with conviction in his eyes and declared, "I'll be watching you, Ito."
Izuku was seen walking the hallways and he pondered, 'I still don't know the meaning of a justified death. Then at least…' Memories of all that he had experienced flashed through his mind. 'Before I understand…' he then thought of his friends. 'Before I kill that guy…'
At the end of the hallway, Nanami and Gojo are waiting for him. With a determined expression, he made a promise to himself.
"I will never… lose again."
As he said that, he looked over to Gojo with his mind made up.
"Sensei....I want to temporarily transfer to UA High"
With Sukuna, he did a spit take at what he just heard.
'What the actual FUCK?!'
------------------------------------------------------------
Right now we turn our attention to where the villains' bar was located. Kurogiri asked Shigaraki if he was curious about Yagi, since he was still holding the picture of her from the Sports festival. Before he could answer, a gray haired man name Giran entered. Due to the League getting talked about so much recently, he had new recruits for them. Shigaraki destroyed the picture as he turned to face them.
A young man with burns and staples all over him was one of them. He said Shigaraki looked gross. The other was a girl who was dressed in a high school uniform. She bounced in excitement from the League knowing 'Stainy' and begged to join.
When Shigaraki heard about Stain, he told Kurogiri to get rid of the new recruits, since he found them irritating. Kurogiri urged him to give them a chance at least, since Giran (the man who brought the recruits in) was known to be reliable.
Giran said he would be satisfied as long as he got paid, then stepped up to introduce the new recruits. He said that the blond girl was a suspect in a several deaths that happened by bloodloss. She introduced herself as Toga Himiko. She eagerly started going on about how she wanted to make the world an easier place to live in. Then said she both wanted to become Stain and kill Stain.
Shigaraki asked if she was crazy. Giran said she could at least hold a conversation.
Giran moved onto the young man, saying he hadn't committed any flashy crimes, but was still very much into Stain's ideology. The young man, whose name was listed as 'Dabi', wondered if the League really had a just cause or not.
Dabi was dubious about a place that would let the crazy girl next to him in. Shigaraki pointed out that the girl at least had enough manners to introduce herself. Dabi said that 'Dabi' was what he currently went by. Shigaraki asked for his real name. Dabi said he wouldn't give it until the right time.
Dabi said he would follow Stain's ethics. The mention of Stain seemed to set Shigaraki off, he started complaining about how people kept talking about him and how he didn't feel good at all. Kurogiri sensed Shigaraki's move and told him to stop, but Shigaraki launched himself at the new recruits anyway. The pair moved to defend themselves, but it all became moot when Kurogiri used a series of portals to direct all of their hands away from each other.
Kurogiri told Shigaraki to calm himself, and reminded him that they had to expand their numbers when given the chance if they wanted to achieve anything, so they should accept the new recruits. Then he whispered to Shigaraki that they should also take advantage of what Stain left behind. Shigaraki backed off, but also told him to shut up before stomping out of the room. Giran commented that Shigaraki was young, too young.
Toga commented that she thought he was going to kill them, and looked excited about it. Dabi just said the man made him sick. Kurogiri asked them to wait for an answer later, because he believed Shigaraki knew what his answer had to be and left for that exact reason. He'd been humbled by not only All Might and Stain but also the green haired young man, so he knew what answer he had to give even if he didn't like it.
The sound of the wind could be heard as it whooshed through a deserted hot spring high up in the mountains. Smoke and fog rose, making the place feel even more isolated.
Puffs of smoke rose from Jogo's head as he smoked a pipe. The pipe wailed as he took a long huff.
"Oh, there you are!" a voice echoed with laughter, causing Jogo to turn around and see Geto and Mahito approaching.
Mahito took off all his clothes and jumped into the water. "Jogo!" He called out happily, enjoying himself in the hot spring.
"It seems like your body is almost completely restored," Mahito said as he swam freely in the water.
"Yes, it's comfortable to live here," Jogo replied, feeling content. "No humans can come close," he said as he tossed his pipe behind him.
"I guess it's really inconvenient when you don't have a body. Self-regeneration is really inefficient, too," Mahito commented, casually enjoying himself in the hot spring.
Geto sat down nearby as the two conversed with each other.
"Mahito, it seems like you've used up a lot of cursed energy as well," Jogo observed, his tone casual as he watched Mahito floating in the water.
"Oh, can you tell?" Mahito replied, his voice nonchalant. "Ryomen Sukuna and his vessel are my nemesis. This game started when I met my new toy..."
Mahito sighed, "...but it didn't go well. It wasn't bad at first, though. Maybe I should have taken the toy hostage and forced Midoriya to make a Binding Vow."
Mahito playfully imagined a scenario in his mind. "If you don't want him to die, hand over your body to Sukuna~" He also imagined Midoriya with a hilariously scribbled face, growling in protest.
Geto spoke, "No, a Binding Vow can only be done by himself. It's not that simple to initiate a Binding Vow through intervention."
Mahito blew bubbles on the water as he pondered, 'Maybe it would have been better if I just gave him a fatal blow instead of transfiguring him. Maybe Sukuna could have treated him with his Reverse Cursed Technique'
As Mahito mused, Sukuna's condescending expression flashed into his mind.
"Know your place, you foolish puppet."
'No, that's how he is. He'll refuse no matter what and also the brat himself can heal his injuries after learning how to do the reverse cursed technique' Mahito concluded.
Emerging from the water, Mahito said, "Jogo. After coming in contact with Sukuna, I think it's better to follow Geto's plan first. Sukuna is worth the effort."
Jogo narrowed his lone eye, looking serious. "Collect all fingers and offer it to Sukuna? It doesn't matter if we all die in the process. Right?"
A grin spread across Jogo's face as he continued, "Very well. It doesn't have to be me smiling in the wilderness 100 years later. I'm fine with it, as long as curses live as humans."
"Oh, you get it," Mahito said cheerfully as he put on his clothes.
Geto spoke, "So let's collect all six fingers kept by Jujutsu High School."
"Is that necessary?" Jogo asked.
"Jujutsu Sorcerers keep Izuku Midoriya because they want him to swallow Sukuna's fingers, right? Even if we ignore him, he'll eat it by himself."
Geto responded, explaining the situation, "The higher-ups of Jujutsu High still can't judge Izuku Midoriya's strength as a vessel. They don't know how many fingers it takes for him to lose control. They will probably gather all the fingers before making him swallow all at once. Although there's one exception."
Suddenly, Gojo's jolly face appeared on the screen, making a peace sign. "I want him to eat it quickly!"
"We can't wait that long, right?" Then Geto stood up as he said, "In a worst-case scenario, the higher-ups might kill Izuku Midoriya."
"Nothing ventured, nothing gained." Jogo rested his chin on his palm in deep thought. "What should we do?"
"I've made the arrangements," Geto reassured him. "That's why I let Jujutsu High School retrieve the fingers we had."
Meanwhile, we see a tall building where someone was seen sitting in a chair while being hooked up with medical equipment, A man was seen stated that ghe well dressed non faced man seemed happy recently, and asked if it was because the League was growing. This only got the man to chuckle, and stated it was because Shigaraki now had conviction. He'd let Shigaraki decide everything, though he would help the young man if he asked. He was even preparing for the time when Shigaraki could become the 'next him'. As he said this, a room full of tanks with Nomu looking creatures was shown, glowing eerily.
While also looking over a certain container that held an object that was surrounded by liquid.
"I was really surprised to find something so powerful....it drawned to me...and the fact it was still moving without any source was truly something else... too bad the side effects are potent, Stain was a fine example....but I need to make sure the Nomu's can handle it...maybe another person will use its power if I give them the right push" he said while placing his hand underneath his chin.
As the object was seen to be--a heart, beating in a normal rhythm within the container.
