Lukas then went to classes, as he sat down on his bench in his classes, he suddenly got a popup in front of him from the system.
[Ding!! Mission: Ask one question of the professor. Minimum Reward: $1000]
Lukas, seeing this, smiled at the cyan pop-up and looked forward to his classes today.
As Lukas was leaving the campus after classes, he got two pop-ups in front of him, the first one made him super happy, and the second one almost gave him a heart attack.
[Mission Completed. Grade: SS, asked a total of 31 questions. Reward: $12000]
[Ding!! Mission: Go to the boxing trial. Minimum Reward: $50]
Yeah, right, I am not getting inside a boxing ring ever, so with these $12000, my total cash should be $38700, a nice budget to buy a car and a phone.
Lukas was walking towards his room while thinking about his money, and then suddenly he saw the fat coach approaching him, and he was smiling like a maniac.
"Lukas, my boy, I was not on campus for the last two days, so you must have missed me," Henry said smilingly.
"I…I, yeah." Lukas felt awkward, he then scratched his chin a little.
"Well, it doesn't matter. Look what I got you from Trenton." Henry cleared the awkwardness by showing Lukas a shopping bag.
Lukas looked at the bag in Henry's hand and frowned a little because he doesn't want to owe anyone anything.
"Don't worry about it. It's just a little token of my appreciation." Henry, saying this, pulled out a pitching glove from the bag, the glove was sky blue in color and looked very good.
"This is a Rawlings Heart of the Hide Pitchers Gloves. It's only 11 inches, so it would fit you perfectly," Henry said with a smile and gave the gloves to Lukas. Lukas, taking the gloves in his hand, wore them on the left hand, and as the coach said, it was a perfect fit.
Lukas nodded his head in satisfaction as the glove felt very comfortable, and it was premium in quality, he could also guess that.
"Can you go this Sunday with me to Trenton? I've talked with my brother-in-law, and he has agreed to see you, and if he really likes you, then he might just sign you on that day!!" Henry was more excited than Lukas himself, he almost yelled the last part.
Lukas thought deeply and, feeling the gloves in his hand, nodded his head, as there was nothing to lose in this, and he might just discover the talent he has in this sport.
Henry smiled broadly after seeing Lukas nodding his head, he was certain Lukas would make it to the Trenton Thunder's and he would get a huge check in return.
"Coach, As I am new here, I need to buy a new car. Do you think you can help me out with that?" Lukas asked very politely, even though this fat man was very eager for a huge check, but he was actually very nice about it.
"Car? Hmm, the banks are closed now, so I can't withdraw money," Henry replied with a thinking look, he was actually thinking about lending or giving money to Lukas.
"I don't need money, Coach, I have money, I just don't know where to get good ones," Lukas replied. Lukas still doesn't have many friends, as he still thinks of himself as way older than them, so he feels this bunch of teenagers is a little cringe.
"Eh? I know a place where the owner is decent, do you want to go now?" The coach replied with a smile on his face.
"Sure, but I have to go to my room and get the money, I don't have it on me right now," Lukas said, as he was not sure if the coach would agree to wait.
"Sure, come to the parking lot of the baseball field after you get your money," Henry replied, then left towards the field while Lukas went to his room, picked up his money, and took the cash he just got too.
I have $33,700 cash here, which is a great budget for a first car, I think.
Lukas, thinking about this first, emptied his backpack, then took all the cash he had and left towards the baseball field. As usual, the field was packed with people, but Lukas ignored it and went to the parking lot.
"Are you here?" Henry was leaning against his car, and then, looking at Lukas, he nodded his head and smiled kindly.
Lukas also politely nodded his head and sat in the car, Henry took him out of the campus, and this was the first time Lukas was doing nothing after regressing when the sun was going down.
[Ding!! Mission: Buy a Car. Minimum Reward: $5000]
Lukas, seeing the popup, smiled because he was getting rewarded for buying a car, so he had to buy a good one.
Soon Henry pulled in to a dealership that was called 'Princeton Autos.' Lukas, seeing the dealership, frowned a little because it's a pre-owned car dealership.
"I wanted to have a new car," Lukas said to Henry.
"Eh! I thought you would go for something not that expensive and reliable," Henry replied with a little shock, because a new car costs way more than a pre-owned one.
"Let's see here. If I get something within my liking, then why not?" Lukas said with a smile.
"Alright, the owner here is a very good person, I know him personally," Henry said, then parked the car, and both of them went inside the dealership.
The car here looked almost new, Lukas was impressed with the collection of cars inside, although his first choice was a new Toyota Corolla or a Camry, as it was easy to drive them, and they both looked good.
"Coach Henry, you're here." A good-looking person came in with a big smile, he was about the same age as Lukas's father and shook Coach's hand very politely.
"Mr. Brown, how have you been?" Henry asked with a smile as well.
"I am good, very good, your student is performing very well in the minor league. He scored a home run last match." Mr. Brown was talking proudly, Lukas could guess he was talking about his own son, and the coach must have helped him out.
"Yeah? Sorry, I was busy with something in Trenton and couldn't watch his match," Coach Henry apologized with a genuine face of care.
"Don't worry about it, coach, you're always giving him courage. Want to go into my office and talk about it?" Mr. Brown asked with a smile.
"N… No, I am here for this young man, he's here to get a car. As soon as I heard about the car, the first face that came to my mind was yours, so I brought him here. Let me introduce you to him. Mr. Brown, this is future MLB best pitcher Lukas, and Lukas, this is Mr. Brown, a very good businessman," Henry introduced both of them with a smile.
"Oh? Such praise from the coach—you must be an exceptional pitcher. Mr. Brown smiled at Lukas and then nodded his head with recognition.
"I am not that great, Coach praises too much," Lukas smilingly said.
"So, what kind of car do you have in mind? Or you can just tell me your budget, and I'll let you know, in that range, what I have in my dealership," Mr. Brown straightforwardly said.
"Thirty Thousand," Lukas said, he wanted to see if this businessman was really genuine or not, he knows something about cars.
"Thirty? That's a very nice range. If you pay me thirty-one thousand because you're here with the coach, that's why I am giving you this price. I could show you a car that might suit your taste. Mr. Brown smiled and said he wanted to sell something very good to Lukas.
