Day three.

Step by step they were getting deeper, further from the real world, and closer to something nameless.

The black pillar that had seemed small at first now towered like a bottomless mountain. But the most terrifying thing—its shadow did not fall to the ground.

Because this world had no light source.

And the pillar did not need a shadow.

It was a shadow.

Reed counted.

They should have been only 200 meters away from the pillar. But every 10 steps they took… the world lengthened by 15.

"This space is warping," Rina muttered. "But not physically. It's a narrative defense system."

Shia drew her weapon. "What do you mean?"

Rina pointed to the ground.

"This place is not guarded by creatures. But by stories that refuse to change.

We are penetrating the script of a world that refuses to be reread."

Reed stared at the unmoving sky.

"Good. Because we didn't come to read.

We came to rewrite."

The sky began to crack.

Not visually. But existentially.
