Catte now wishes for her father to live and continue life together with her. She keeps thinking of ways to solve the problem of her father's hospital bills, and suddenly remembers that Colin had slipped some money into her diary. She thinks:
"Maybe… that man isn't so bad after all," said Catte.
She immediately takes the money and adds it to her savings. With hope in her heart, Catte believes she can save enough for her father. How lucky she is to be able to save money for his hospital bills.
Overwhelmed with happiness, Catte starts crying, eager to see her father discharged from the hospital and live with her again. At that moment, Ruby sees Catte crying and finds it strange that she's crying for no apparent reason.
Catte turned around and noticed that Ruby had seen him crying. He quickly wiped his tears and hugged Ruby. Ruby, feeling confused, asked:
"Brother, are you okay?" said Ruby.
"Yes! I'm totally fine. I'm just happy that we'll get to see Dad again," said Catte.
Ruby smiled, seeing Catte in such a joyful state.
With that, Catte cooked a special meal for Ruby and himself. It was a day of happiness for both of them.
Catte and Ruby quickly rushed to the destination by taking a taxi. They were excited to pay for their father's hospital bills.
[Hospital]
Upon arriving at the hospital, Catte and Colin immediately headed to the Finance Counter and paid the hospital bill for their father. Now, he would recover soon—just a few more days until the illness is gone.
[Outside the Hospital]
Catte and Ruby were overjoyed after settling the hospital bills. They strolled around while thinking about what activities they could do together with their father.
Suddenly, a car came speeding from behind Catte. Sensing it quickly, Catte dashed forward and pulled Ruby away from the road.
Inside the car was Colin, who didn't realize he almost hit Catte and Ruby.
"Oh, it's you guys! You scared me for a second," said Colin.
"Are you crazy?!" shouted Ruby and Catte.
Colin, confused by Catte and Ruby's presence at the hospital, immediately asked:
"What are you two doing here?"
They answered confidently, with Catte proudly saying he had paid the hospital bill for their father. Colin was shocked and stepped out of the car. He told Ruby to get in while he needed to speak with Catte alone.
"You… do you owe anyone money?" Colin asked.
"Oh no, I used the money you put in my diary," Catte said cheerfully.
Colin was stunned—that money was actually meant to pay off his older brother Lavirian's debt.
"Are you serious?! That money was for your brother's debt, man!" Colin shouted angrily.
"Well, let me be. Besides, I can always repay Lavirian's debt later," Catte replied.
"No, damn it! Your brother wants you to use that money I gave to settle it!" Colin snapped.
Catte was shocked. He realized he had made a huge mistake.
"Maybe… I can pay it back little by little," Catte said anxiously.
"YOU CAN'T! HE NEEDS A LOT OF MONEY!" Colin yelled, furious.
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Catte screamed back, crying in anger.
From a distance, Ruby watched as Catte and Colin argued fiercely over the money.
Ruby, still confused, stepped out of the car and walked toward Catte.
Catte and Colin were still arguing when Ruby arrived. Unable to hold back his emotions, Catte slapped Colin across the face. Colin, anger boiling over, was about to go after Catte—but Ruby got in the middle of it.
"Can you two just stop?!" Ruby shouted angrily.
Catte and Colin immediately stopped fighting, stunned by Ruby's presence in the middle of the chaos. Catte then took Ruby and walked away, leaving the scene. Colin could only watch them leave in silence, saying nothing after Ruby stepped in.
"Tch… that idiot…" he muttered.
