A hundred assassins surrounded them. Felix dropped a smoke bomb onto the ground. As the thick fog spread, Deathstroke and Ravager drew their swords. Felix pulled Gáe Bolg from his inventory.
He plunged it into the heart of the first enemy, then leaped from the corpse to the next. Thanks to his enhanced vision, he saw every movement and countered accordingly. Meanwhile, Ravager and Deathstroke butchered their foes like seasoned butchers.
From a distance, Ra's al Ghul observed their every move. He remained eerily calm as his men were slaughtered—proof that something else was at play. The smoke was beginning to clear.
Despite her wounded shoulder, Ravager kept fighting, slicing an enemy in half. Two more assassins lunged at her from behind.
Felix's eyes glowed faintly. In a flash, he moved behind Ravager and took them both down in a single motion.
Ravager felt the gust of wind behind her and reflexively turned—her face inches away from Felix's.
Their distance was nearly nonexistent.
As Felix stepped back with an expressionless face, Ravager narrowed her eyes.
"Are you trying to protect me?" She asked mockingly.
Felix shrugged indifferently. "I just don't want to deal with more enemies. Don't mess up."
Ravager frowned. There was something off about this man—something unsettling. But now was not the time to think about it.
Deathstroke's voice broke the tension. "Their numbers are dropping. Finish this quickly!"
As the battle raged on, Felix's eyes scanned the battlefield. The assassins' numbers had dwindled, but there were still too many. Deathstroke was cutting through them with precision, while Ravager fought beside Felix.
Felix's mind remained calm. He analyzed every movement, selecting the fastest and most efficient ways to kill.
But something felt… off.
Ra's al Ghul still hadn't joined the fight.
Why was he just watching as his men died?
Without hesitation, Felix pulled out a small dagger and hurled it toward Ra's.
The dagger sliced through the air—but before it could reach its target, a sword intercepted it.
A shadowy figure in a long black cloak had appeared beside Ra's al Ghul, deflecting the attack with ease.
Felix danced with Gáe Bolg, every strike aimed at the head or heart.
Ravager and Deathstroke watched in silent shock.
This man was deadly.
As the smoke finally cleared, Ra's al Ghul drew his sword. The shadow moved toward Deathstroke, while Ra's locked eyes with Felix.
"Hahaha… magnificent, Bloodhound. You're ruthless. You don't hesitate. Tell me, would you like to join us?"
Bloodhound spat on the ground. "You villains all talk too much. Always with the monologues."
Ra's al Ghul's smile faded. In an instant, he was in front of Felix, his sword slashing forward.
Felix blocked it with his spear—unfazed but surprised.
The strength behind the strike wasn't a joke.
Seizing the opportunity, Felix headbutted him.
Ra's staggered back.
And then, he attacked again.
Felix's reflexes kicked in as Ra's swung his sword masterfully. Felix parried with Gáe Bolg, the cursed energy clashing against Ra's' blade, sending sparks flying.
Felix swiftly retreated and countered with a spear thrust. Gáe Bolg tore through the air toward Ra's, but he dodged mid-air with acrobatic precision.
"Impressive," Ra's said coldly.
Felix didn't reply. He simply raised Gáe Bolg again and lunged.
His attack clashed with Ra's' sword, but it was only a feint. As Ra's lost balance, Felix flicked the spear upward, aiming for his chest.
But Ra's sidestepped at inhuman speed, narrowly avoiding death.
Felix, Deathstroke, and Ravager all turned toward the shadowy figure.
Felix shouted, "Get out of here! I have a plan!"
Deathstroke glanced at him skeptically, but Ravager growled in frustration.
"Are you an idiot, Bloodhound?! How the hell do you plan to fight alone? We're not leaving you!"
Felix simply grinned. "Trust me."
With gritted teeth, Ravager and Deathstroke reluctantly fell back.
Ra's al Ghul turned to the shadow and commanded, "Forget them. Help me!"
The shadow obeyed.
Deathstroke and Ravager escaped.
Only Felix, Ra's al Ghul, and the shadow remained.
Ra's smirked. "Now what?"
Felix raised Gáe Bolg, pouring every ounce of his cursed energy into it. The spear responded.
Ra's felt the shift in the air. He immediately ordered the shadow to attack.
Too late.
Felix gripped Gáe Bolg tightly.
"GÁE BOLG! THE THORNED SPEAR THAT PIERCES WITH DEATH!"
He hurled it forward.
A streak of purple light shot through the air.
Ra's raised his sword, trying to defend—
But the spear pierced through him.
His body erupted into an explosion.
At that moment, all of Gotham saw the blast.
A flash of destruction—so immense it looked like a nuclear detonation.
And then… it vanished.
The League of Assassins' base was obliterated.
Felix lay on the ground, his body covered in wounds. The shadow had escaped.
Deathstroke and Ravager arrived, standing over Felix.
His arm was missing.
Ravager dropped to one knee beside him, while Deathstroke inspected Ra's al Ghul's burnt corpse and took a photo.
"Mission accomplished," Ravager muttered.
She looked at Felix.
This man was infuriating.
Yet… he had saved her twice.
She felt something strange.
Then, before her eyes—Felix's arm regenerated.
She widened her eyes, locking gazes with him.
Deathstroke folded his arms, his sharp eyes analyzing Felix. "You got wrecked pretty badly," he said, his tone indifferent, but his mind was assessing Felix's combat abilities.
Felix chuckled weakly as he stood up. "I knew Ra's wouldn't give up. But I didn't expect him to die this quickly."
Ravager kept watching him.
There was something in his eyes… something that disturbed her.
Suddenly—
A shadow reappeared.
It grabbed Ra's al Ghul's corpse—and vanished.
Ravager cursed. "Damn it! We lost him!"
Deathstroke remained calm, staring at the spot where the figure disappeared. "We don't know what kind of ability that was… but whoever that was, they're no ordinary person."
Felix rested Gáe Bolg on his shoulder. "It doesn't matter. Ra's' body may be gone… but we know he's dead."
Ravager shot him a sharp look. "We're talking about a man who can come back from the dead. Remember that."
Felix smirked slightly. "I took precautions."
Deathstroke narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?"
Felix opened his hand. A faint purple glow flickered between his fingers.
"Gáe Bolg's curse doesn't just kill. It shatters the soul."
Ravager shuddered. "So… he can't come back?"
Felix's eyes darkened.
"If he does, he won't be the same."
Deathstroke nodded. "That's good. But that shadow figure is still a problem."
The three of them stood in silence.
The cold night air of Gotham surrounded them. Smoke still rose from the battlefield.
Ravager sighed. "If we stay here, Batman will show up. And I don't want to deal with him."
Deathstroke agreed. "Let's move."
Felix glanced back at the shadows.
That figure had taken Ra's al Ghul.
But Felix knew—
He would return.
