Chapter 44 - 44

Clearly, the sprouting vine was a Spalledim Gate.

When Dentis stepped out of the gate, the Wang siblings were stunned—their house was old, but it had Anti-Apparition enchantments.

"Good afternoon, you two."

"Mr. Dentis!"

Dana didn't sit down, standing at the entrance of the portal and saying, "I am about to acquire a large number of properties and need a lot of manpower. Wang Wenhui, I need you to quickly recruit personnel and rapidly expand the Ashwinder Gang. Can you do it?"

Wang Wenhui hadn't recovered from the shock of seeing the Spalledim Gate when Wang Shujing fiercely jabbed her brother's kidney with her elbow.

"Ouch…! Ah, ah? Oh, yes, BOSS, I can do it!"

Dana nodded. "The Ashwinder Gang doesn't want pure-blood wizards. Only recruit Muggle-born wizards and half-blood wizards who are struggling financially, with Chinese wizards like you as the core of the organization—I don't need you to be super strong, I only need loyalty and unity. Can you do it?"

Wang Wenhui's eyes lit up. "Of course, BOSS! The Ashwinder Gang has always taken in the most down-and-out wizards! It was like that a hundred years ago, and it still is now."

That was right—if they weren't so poor that they couldn't survive, who would be willing to risk Azkaban by committing crimes?

"Remember what I said?"

"I remember, BOSS, don't cause trouble!"

"Good. Every time you recruit a hundred people, notify me once, and I will meet with everyone."

"One… one hundred people?" Wang Wenhui blinked. "That's a lot."

Wang Shujing nudged Wang Wenhui again. The unlucky brother grimaced, crying out in pain, but then heard Wang Shujing say, "Idiot! Didn't you understand what BOSS meant? One hundred people is just the beginning! We need two hundred, three hundred, or even more!"

Wang Wenhui rubbed his lower back vigorously. "Hiss… Little brat, you don't know how to hold back… What I mean is, if each person's monthly salary is fifty Galleons, then one hundred people would be five thousand Galleons! If we can't pay the wages by then, I'm afraid we won't be able to control those guys."

Dana was still concise. "Money is no object."

Wang Wenhui immediately stood up straight and gave a clumsy salute. "Understood, BOSS! As long as the money is in place, I will definitely complete the mission!"

Wang Shujing simply couldn't bear to look at her silly brother. Mr. Dentis had said from the beginning that he needed manpower to manage his properties—how could he be short of money?

Dana tossed two things toward them—Wang Shujing received a bag, and Wang Wenhui caught a two-way mirror.

"There are thirty thousand Galleons in the bag. Wang Shujing, manage the accounts well. Wang Wenhui, contact me at night using this two-way mirror once you have any progress."

"Yes… Yes…" The siblings were stunned again.

Mr. Dentis trusted them so much? Thirty thousand Galleons just handed over like that…

But the next moment, Dana turned into a blue light and disappeared into Wang Wenhui's body.

Amidst Wang Shujing's exclamation, Wang Wenhui's eyes turned blue, and then he spoke in a calm tone, "I am Dark Dentis. I am now controlling your brother."

—Merlin's Possession Charm.

Modern wizards had never seen this kind of magic, so the effect of bluffing was quite good.

Dana canceled the Possession Charm and returned to his original position, transforming into Wang Wenhui's appearance. The two identical figures stared at each other for a moment.

Dana changed back to Dark Dentis and said lightly, "Don't even think about embezzling my money. Because even if you go to the ends of the earth, I can still find you. Believe me, I have that ability."

The siblings couldn't say anything at this moment except nod.

"I hope you are loyal, but if you are not, I don't care. I can just replace you. I believe there are plenty of people willing to take your place, and your corpses will serve as the best deterrent to the next person.

"But if you do well, I won't be stingy with rewards.

"Now, get moving."

With that, Dana walked back to the other side of the portal.

It wasn't until the Spalledim Gate turned into starlight and disappeared into the living room that the Wang siblings dared to breathe heavily.

Wang Wenhui stroked the two-way mirror in his hand, and Wang Shujing hugged the money bag in her arms. The two were speechless.

"Sister, what should we do next? BOSS is so scary!"

Wang Shujing shook her head. "Mr. Dentis is our benefactor! We shouldn't betray him in the first place. Since that's the case, what do we have to fear?"

Wang Wenhui breathed a sigh of relief. "You're right. As long as we honestly follow BOSS, we'll have endless wealth and glory. What's there to be afraid of?

"Sister, give me a thousand Galleons first!"

"What for?"

"The Fiery Witch Late-Night Club has a batch of girls from Eastern Europe, very lively…"

"Get lost! Apart from the fifty Galleons each month, don't even think about taking a Knut from me!"

"Sister! BOSS said there would be rewards if we do well…"

"Have you done anything yet? Hurry up! Get out and recruit people!"

Paris, France.

At the end of the alley between 23 and 24 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, there was a small house that seemed to have been forgotten by the world.

With a burst of spatial distortion, Dana used a Portkey, arriving under his identity as Dentis.

He stepped forward and knocked on the beautiful but old blue wooden door. The door frame was intricately carved with roses.

There was a sign on the wooden door with a line of German written on it. Unfortunately, Dana didn't know German.

Just after he knocked, the German text transformed into French.

Still no use.

"Excuse me, Madam, I only speak English."

The words on the sign immediately changed to:

[What is your business?]

Dana frowned slightly and tentatively said, "For the greater good?"

The words on the doorplate returned to their original form.

Just as Dana was considering whether to break in, the blue door opened automatically.

Large art floor tiles with interwoven orange and brown patterns, snow-white walls with gold trim—it was grand, like a private art gallery.

All kinds of sculptures and famous paintings adorned the corridor as he walked forward.

At a crossroads, a suspended arrow appeared, directing him where to go.

Soon, he arrived at a courtyard, the kind seen in novels and films where noble ladies gathered for tea.

A white and gold gazebo was covered in fresh green grape leaves—clearly enchanted to remain lush despite the winter.

An elderly woman in a black velvet dress sat in the gazebo, holding a copy of Napoleon's Biography in her left hand. Her right hand rested at her side, hidden from view.

But Dana was certain—her right hand was gripping a wand.

"Hello, Madam Rosier. My name is Dentis. Nice to meet you."
