Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: Shakky's Betrayal

It wasn't that Shakky intended to betray Rocks, but rather that Rocks wanted to kill her.

As an intelligence gatherer for the Rock Pirates, she knew too many secrets. Rocks would never let her live.

She was well aware of this.

While helping Rocks gather intelligence on the World Government's actions, she made up her mind to escape from the Rock Pirates while he was too busy to pay attention to her.

Now it seemed that the plan was perfect.

As long as she reached the Sabaody Archipelago.

It was a place full of all sorts of people! It was very suitable for her to hide.

After spending several years in the Rock Pirates, Shakky was tired and didn't want to be a pirate anymore.

She wanted to open a tavern and spend the rest of her life there.

She had even thought of a name for the tavern.

It would be called "Shakky's Rip-Off"!

She stroked the log pose on her wrist, knowing that this was the only way to defeat Rocks.

After all, only when Rocks was dead could she feel at ease.

"Sorry, Captain! You shouldn't have shown your killing intent first," Shakky murmured softly in the corner of the cabin.

"Hey, bro! Have you heard? The Rock Pirates seem to be up to something big lately! Pirates are gathering at Hive Island, the base of the Rock Pirates. I wonder what their conspiracy is?"

In the cabin, a Slave Trader was sitting at a clean table and talking to a man beside him.

"Of course I've heard. Haven't you noticed that the Rock Pirates have been very quiet in the past few months? Even that Charlotte hasn't shown up anymore! You think about it, if it was before, would we still have a chance to trade slaves in the New World? We would have been chopped down by Charlotte with his sword long ago!"

As he said this, the Slave Trader shrank his neck.

You know, in the past few years, the slave trade in the New World had almost been completely destroyed by Charlotte.

Anyone engaged in the slave trade would be targeted by Charlotte, killed, and thrown into the sea to feed the fish!

This made many Slave Traders both extremely angry and terrified of Charlotte.

It wasn't that no one had thought of rebelling, but those people were no match for Charlotte.

"True! In the past few months, no, in the past year, that Monster hasn't appeared!"

The companion beside him nodded.

"You don't know! A few months ago, Charlotte appeared in the first half of the Grand Line. First, he destroyed Water 7 and massacred all the nobles and officials. There was a big news about it at that time! Then, right under the noses of the Navy, he went to the Sabaody Archipelago and destroyed the Celestial Dragons' auction house. Why is this guy so against slaves?"

The Slave Trader who was drinking wine wondered.

"Hehe! You won't believe it. After Charlotte destroyed the auction house, even the Admirals were sent out. Can you imagine? He escaped right under the noses of the Admirals! They're the Admirals, for goodness' sake!"

Listening to their discussion, Shakky curled her lips and said nothing.

After all, she knew all these things. In fact, she had provided the intelligence for several of these incidents.

She was the one involved.

"It seems that that young man Charlotte has a good reputation," Shakky said to herself, looking at the imprisoned slaves.

She could clearly feel that when these people mentioned Charlotte, hope glimmered in the eyes of these slaves.

Finally, Shakky leaned against the corner and closed her eyes.

She was a bit tired! After all, she had been on the run for so many days.

...

The scene changed!

After the meeting ended, Charlotte and the other six cadres walked out of the door one by one.

But no one left first.

Finally, Shiki, the Golden Lion, couldn't hold it back and looked at everyone.

"What do you think of what the captain just said?"

Shiki looked at everyone, hoping to see their thoughts from their eyes.

Whitebeard remained indifferent as usual.

Charlotte Linlin was the same.

Wang Zhi, John, and Silver Axe lowered their heads and didn't say a word.

Charlotte looked at the sky expressionlessly.

No one replied to Shiki, which made him feel humiliated.

"Come on, speak up! Stop pretending to be mute. Do you think I don't know what you're all about?"

Shiki said angrily.

Whitebeard took a swig of wine and gave Shiki a long, hard look.

"What's there to talk about? Do you think we don't know what you're scheming? Don't you want to be the one to stick your neck out?"

Whitebeard looked at Shiki disdainfully and then stepped out.

The others also walked out one by one.

Veins bulged on Shiki's forehead as he fought the urge to explode. But knowing this was Rocks' territory, he managed to hold back his rage.

Then he glanced in Charlotte's direction.

"Kid Charlotte! What's your opinion?"

Shiki floated over to Charlotte and asked.

Now in the entire Rock Pirates, the only person Shiki could talk to was Charlotte.

Charlotte glanced at Shiki.

"What else can we do? If Whitebeard doesn't step forward, what can we accomplish on our own? Just wait!"

Charlotte said calmly.

But obviously, this was not what Shiki wanted to hear.

"Is there any way to make Whitebeard step forward?"

Shiki looked at Charlotte and asked.

Charlotte gave Shiki a look like he was a complete moron, which made Shiki so mad he could've killed him right then and there.

But it would be quite difficult for him to kill Charlotte now.

"I heard that Whitebeard likes to adopt sons recently?"

Charlotte said something meaningful, which instantly made Shiki stand there deep in thought.

And Charlotte walked towards his camp.

Charlotte didn't care about what Rocks said about getting ready.

He didn't have many crew members anyway. He would just go himself when the time came!

Presumably, Rocks wouldn't say anything!

After all, Rocks still needed them to fight.

"Boss!"

"Boss!"

When they saw Charlotte, they all bowed their heads respectfully.

"Go and call all the Captains here!"

Charlotte said to these crew members whose names he couldn't even remember.

"Yes!"

After hearing Charlotte's words, these crew members immediately got to work.

Charlotte needed to arrange some things.

Not long after, Charlotte waited for everyone in the meeting room on the ship.

"Boss!"

"Boss!"

When they saw Charlotte sitting in the main seat, they all saluted.

Charlotte waved his hand.

He interrupted their greetings.

"I've gathered you all here today. I'm sure you've got a hunch! That's right! The Rock Pirates are about to make a big move! You don't need to know what exactly it is! Just know that this has nothing to do with you. When the time comes, I'll handle it alone!

The reason I'm calling you here is this: I want you to evacuate Hive Island and return to Kame Island. Carter, you'll be in charge of this. After all, you've been with me since Kame Island, and you understand these things well! Make sure to leave Hive Island the day after I depart. All personnel must evacuate without disobedience!"

Charlotte seriously looked at everyone and gave the order.

"Yes!"

Seeing Charlotte's serious expression, no one dared to be careless.

Although they were puzzled, they just had to do as they were told!
