Chapter 138: I'm Just but Also Shameless
Kamishiro had been grinning from ear to ear these days, especially when he heard that even the Konoha ninjas in the Konoha's camp were chatting about the relationship between Chiyo, Rasa, and Ōnoki.
One day, when Kamishiro's team returned to the camp after completing a mission, a ninja approached Kamishiro.
"Kamishiro, Lord Orochimaru wants to see you."
"Huh?"
Kakashi, Obito, and Rin Nohara stared at Kamishiro in surprise.
Since the ninja only mentioned Kamishiro, it was clear that Lord Orochimaru wanted to see Kamishiro alone and didn't intend for the others to go with him.
When did Kamishiro get in touch with Lord Orochimaru, and why did the latter want to see him alone?
Hearing that Lord Orochimaru wanted to see him, Kamishiro was momentarily stunned but quickly regained his composure.
It was very likely that Lord Orochimaru had got some news about Chiyo.
"Okay, I'll go right away."
Kamishiro said to Kakashi and the others, "I'm going to see Lord Orochimaru."
Kamishiro headed towards the command room where Lord Orochimaru was.
Entering the tent, Kamishiro saw Lord Orochimaru again. As always, the man still gave him the feeling of having some evil plans in mind.
To Kamishiro's surprise, Lord Orochimaru complimented him, "You did a great job spreading the rumors."
Kamishiro was taken aback. "Lord Orochimaru, how did you know it was me?"
Lord Orochimaru explained, "It's simple. You have a grudge against Chiyo, and the areas where those Scrolls were spread were the areas where your team carried out missions. So, it was easy to figure out that it was you."
Kamishiro scratched his head in embarrassment. "I thought I'd covered my tracks perfectly."
Lord Orochimaru asked with a hint of curiosity, "However, the rumors first emerged in the Sunagakure Village ninjas' camp. I'm quite curious about how you managed to spread them there."
"Um... well, I asked an old friend from Sunagakure Village to help me."
Kamishiro didn't want to talk too much about Pakura with Lord Orochimaru.
Lord Orochimaru noticed that Kamishiro wasn't keen on discussing the matter, so he didn't press further and continued, "I've got some information about Chiyo."
Kamishiro's eyes lit up as he looked at Lord Orochimaru.
With a slight curl of his lips, Lord Orochimaru said, "Your rumors are quite absurd, but they've proven to be effective. Chiyo seems to have been affected by them and has left the camp. It seems she's planning to return to the Land of Wind, and she's going alone."
Kamishiro exclaimed in excitement, "Alone? This is the perfect opportunity! I'll take her out!"
However, Lord Orochimaru added, "Since Chiyo left from behind their camp, sending ninjas to assassinate her would most likely end in failure. As the commander, I can't give such a stupid order.
So, if you want to attack Chiyo, I'll give you the go - ahead, but I won't offer you any assistance."
I'll remind you one last time. Even if your puppets are stronger than Chiyo's, in The Battle between ninjas, you can't just judge by the puppets. Apart from puppetry, you're no match for her. So, in my opinion, you're more likely to fail, and your chances of dying aren't low either.
I heard from Jiraiya that you're very afraid of The Battle. If that's the case, why are you doing something so dangerous for you?"
Suddenly, Kamishiro let out a sinister laugh.
Kamishiro 'hee-hee' laughed and said, "Lord Orochimaru, I'm a very just yet shameless person."
Hearing Kamishiro's answer, Orochimaru raised an eyebrow.
Can 'just' and 'shameless' be used together to describe a person?
Kamishiro explained sinisterly, "I'm a just person, but I fight very shamelessly. I'll do whatever it takes to win. Anyway, if I can't beat her, I'll just run away. I'll just mess with that old hag Chiyo and then make a quick getaway."
Orochimaru looked at Kamishiro with a subtle look in his eyes. Suddenly, he had a strange thought in his mind: the 'shameless' Kamishiro might fail, but he definitely wouldn't lose his life.
Orochimaru nodded and threw a Scroll to Kamishiro.
After Kamishiro caught it, Orochimaru said, "This is a map predicting the route Chiyo will take. If you want to catch up with her, you have to set off right away. Why could he tell it was Obito at a glance? Because Obito was the only one here with a slicked-back hairstyle.
Obito, Rin Nohara, and Kakashi walked in with their heads down.
As they walked in, Rin Nohara whispered and complained, "Obito, I told you not to come and eavesdrop."
Obito looked extremely embarrassed. He just came out of curiosity to listen.
Kakashi and Rin Nohara originally wanted to drag Obito away. But they accidentally heard that Kamishiro planned to sneak attack Chiyo, so they couldn't help but eavesdrop for a while.
Kakashi apologized to Orochimaru, "Sorry, Lord Orochimaru."
Orochimaru didn't intend to argue with Kakashi and the others. He thought it would be better to do something else with this time. "Since Kamishiro is a member of your team, I'll let it go this time, but there won't be a next time."

Orochimaru picked up a Scroll and started reading it. Without even looking up, he said, "Kamishiro is a member of your team. You guys decide whether to go or not."
Obito's eyes lit up. Just as he was about to speak, Kamishiro covered his mouth.
Kamishiro glared at Obito. "If you keep blabbering nonsense, I'll yank your tonsils out!"
Then Kamishiro yelled at Orochimaru, "Lord Orochimaru, I sat on Obito's head this morning when I got up. Maybe it scrambled his brains, so he's talking nonsense. Don't mind him. You're busy, sir. We won't bother you any longer!"
Kamishiro dragged Obito, and they left the command room with Kakashi and Rin Nohara.
After they returned to Kamishiro's tent, Kamishiro let go of the hand covering Obito's mouth and glared at him fiercely. "Are you crazy! How dare you talk nonsense in front of Lord Orochimaru. Aren't you afraid that Lord Orochimaru will eat you up?"
Obito rubbed his stiff face and said, "I'm scared, but I want to go with you. That Chiyo is the commander of the Sunagakure Village ninjas here and a senior advisor of Sunagakure Village. Even Lord Orochimaru said she's very strong and that you can't beat her. So isn't it too dangerous for you to go alone?"
"I'm confident on my own. It'll be dangerous if you guys come with me. That's it. Bye."
Kamishiro started to prepare things and planned to set off right away once he was ready.
