Chapter 19 - Dragon Joyride

"Quickly get ready! You promised to let me ride a dragon today!" Rebeca's excited voice echoed through the house.

Eric groggily rubbed his eyes, staring blankly at the ceiling. He had barely had the time to digest the information, and his mom was already bouncing with anticipation. Her impatient tone left no room for negotiation.

"Yeah, yeah… I'm getting up," he muttered, dragging himself from the comfort of his bed.

The strangest part wasn't the dragon ride promise. It was how much he had missed his own bathroom. After spending so much time in another world, even a simple morning routine in his personal bathroom felt like a luxury.

When he finally trudged downstairs, the smell of breakfast greeted him. He expected cup noodles, but to his surprise, his mom was in a splendid mood. Toast sizzled on the pan, golden brown and delicious.

"Phew… No instant noodles for a month. What a blessing," he thought with relief.

"Hey Mom, what are you making?" he asked, trying to sound casual.

"It's just toast. Hurry up and eat!" Rebeca replied impatiently, barely sparing him a glance.

Eric sighed. Her excitement was overflowing. He wasn't sure if she was more excited about the dragon ride or just the idea of flying. Regardless, he knew he had to come up with an excuse. He had one goal today: play his favorite game. A whole day of uninterrupted gaming bliss. Nothing could stand in his way.

"You know, Mom, you should totally go alone," he suggested, plastering on his most convincing smile. "Riding a dragon for the first time solo is an amazing experience! Super exhilarating!"

Rebeca's eyes lit up like a child on Christmas morning.

"You're right! Give me the biggest dragon you have!" she giggled excitedly.

Eric was dumbfounded. That actually worked? He couldn't believe his luck. Taking a bite of his toast, he felt victorious.

But he wasn't entirely reckless. While munching, he gave a simple mental command to his orc general through the shadow realm.

Task, Follow Mom for the day. And cast invisibility when flying.

Just in case, His mom's shadow was already connected to his shadow realm, so he could reach her in an instant if anything went sideways. Safety first, after all.

Just as Eric was about to retreat to the safety of his gaming chair, he suddenly remembered something. He reached into the dark void of his shadow realm, pulling out a mysterious fruit.

It was shaped like a peach, but with a glimmering golden hue. The faint glow gave it an otherworldly charm. Carefully placing it on the table, he presented it like a prized treasure.

"Mom, this is a gift from another universe," Eric said dramatically.

Rebeca blinked in curiosity, the fruit already captivating her.

"Wow! What is this?" she asked, picking it up and inspecting it closely.

"It's the fruit of the World Tree. From this, angels are born," Eric explained with a deadpan expression. "But since the Supreme Being who governed it died, the World Tree lost its power. Now it's just an energy ball."

Rebeca's awe shifted to confusion.

"So… what do I do with it?"

"You eat it."

"WHAT?!" Her expression twisted into pure disgust. "Do you want me to eat an unborn angel?! Are you insane?!"

Eric sighed in exasperation.

"It's not an angel anymore. It's just energy now. And come on, Mom. You eat eggs every day. This is basically the same thing."

"You heartless bastard! How can you even compare that?!" she shrieked.

But before her rant could escalate, Eric acted swiftly. The golden fruit disintegrated into radiant energy, streaming into her body. Her form glowed momentarily, a warmth spreading from within.

"Wha—"

Her voice caught as she realized she couldn't move. Eric had paralyzed her, ensuring she didn't resist the fruit's effects.

"Better safe than sorry," he muttered under his breath.

The Marvel world was full of people with terrifying powers. There were countless beings who could manipulate minds and souls. Letting his mom wander around unprotected was simply unacceptable. With the fruit consumed, her soul would be significantly strengthened, making her immune to most forms of manipulation.

"Alright, all done," Eric said as he released the paralysis.

Rebeca immediately stood up, furious.

"You little—" she began, but surprisingly, she stopped herself.

A strange sense of calm washed over her. While she was still annoyed, a part of her understood that Eric's actions were out of genuine concern. That didn't mean she'd forgive him easily, though.

"So, what's gonna happen to me now?" she asked, curiosity overpowering her anger.

"Nothing special," Eric replied nonchalantly. "You'll just have a longer lifespan and a stronger soul."

"...That's it?!" Rebeca nearly screamed. "What about superpowers?! Energy beams?! Flight?! Anything?!"

"Nope. Just longer life and resistance to mind control."

"This is robbery!" she howled.

Eric ignored her growing dramatics and turned toward his room, the glorious thought of gaming bliss calling him.

"Okay, Mom. You go enjoy your day. I'll be upstairs."

But before he could escape, a small but powerful hand clamped down on his shoulder.

"Oh no, you're not," Rebeca grinned mischievously. "You're coming with me. We're riding that dragon."

"Mom, wait—"

"Nope! how dare you rebel against your mother!"

Despite his desperate struggling, Rebeca's grip held firm. Like a defeated prisoner, Eric was dragged out of the house.

"This is the worst day ever," he grumbled.

Rebeca, on the other hand, beamed with excitement.

"Best day ever!" she cheered.

And so, the dragon ride adventure began.

A few moments later, a massive dragon emerged from the shadows. It was a towering creature, with scales shimmering like obsidian and glowing violet eyes. The mere presence of the beast caused the air to tremble.

Rebeca squealed in delight. "Oh my God, it's beautiful!"

"Yeah, yeah," Eric muttered. "Just hold on tight."

The dragon lowered its head, allowing Rebeca to climb aboard. Eric reluctantly joined her, clutching the reins with a mix of dread and exhaustion.

"Ready?" he asked.

"Yup!"

The dragon's wings unfurled, and with a powerful leap, it took to the skies. The ground disappeared beneath them as they soared upward, slicing through the clouds. Rebeca's laughter echoed through the air as she spread her arms wide, relishing the wind against her face.

"Woohoo! Faster!"

After a few exhilarating loops through the sky, they finally touched down. Rebeca hopped off the dragon, practically glowing with joy.

"That was amazing!" she gushed. "We have to do that again!"

"Yeah, sure. Maybe later," Eric replied, staggering slightly.

As Rebeca excitedly recounted every moment of the flight, Eric quietly excused himself, ready to return to his gaming sanctuary. But just as he reached the front door, her voice rang out once more.

"Oh, and Eric!"

He turned cautiously.

"We're totally doing dragon races next weekend!"

Eric facepalmed. It was going to be a long week.

[ I want to write about. Tony situation about Obadiah Stane, but I felt very bord writing about that. So next chapter would be a time skip, after explaining Eric's goal's about his future, in 1 or 2 chapter, they will be going to different world]

[world order would be, Naruto(where he will get ninja to control the earth), then one piece(because I want to), dragon ball(soldier to fight), ben10(technology), last most likely, that time I got reincarnated slime]

[You can comment, which world you want to see, if I like it, then I can add it.]
