Chapter 182 - Chapter 182: The Devil’s Ultimatum

The silence in the convoy was suffocating. Everyone was waiting for Ochieng's next move. The weight of Rolex's words hung in the air like a noose tightening around their necks.

Gideon was the first to break the silence. "If you go alone, you're walking straight into their hands."

Victoria tapped the gun in her lap. "We need a plan, Ochieng. A smart one."

But Ochieng's mind was already set. His eyes burned with an intensity that made even the most hardened of his men uneasy.

"They took Lucy," he said, his voice dangerously calm. "I'm not negotiating. I'm not playing by their rules. I'm burning them all."

Eugene exchanged a glance with Gideon. They knew that when Ochieng got like this, there was no stopping him.

"So, what's the move?" Victoria asked, loading her magazine.

Ochieng's lips curled into a chilling smirk. "We give them what they want. And then we take everything from them."

---

Lucy's vision blurred from the blood trickling down her forehead. The ropes around her wrists had cut deep into her skin, but she didn't give Rolex the satisfaction of seeing her break.

He stood in front of her, arms crossed, his gold watch glinting under the dim light. Brian leaned against the wall, smirking.

"You think he'll actually come alone?" Brian mused.

Rolex chuckled. "Of course he will. Ochieng's a sentimental fool. He won't risk her life."

Lucy's lip curled. "You don't know him at all."

Rolex's smile faltered slightly, but he quickly masked it with arrogance. "Oh, I know him well enough. He's predictable. And that's what makes him weak."

A knock on the door interrupted the conversation. One of Rolex's men stepped in.

"Boss, he's here."

Rolex grinned. "Showtime."

---

Ochieng stepped out of the car alone. He wore a dark trench coat, his expression unreadable. The only thing visible was the lethal intent in his eyes.

Across from him, Rolex and his men stood waiting, guns ready. Brian stood beside Rolex, a smug look plastered on his face.

"You actually came," Rolex said, shaking his head in amusement. "No backup? No tricks?"

Ochieng smirked. "If I wanted you dead, Rolex, you'd already be in a coffin."

Rolex laughed. "Bold words for a man surrounded."

Ochieng's gaze darkened. "Where's Lucy?"

Rolex snapped his fingers, and two men dragged Lucy out. Her lip was busted, her dress torn, but her eyes still burned with defiance.

"Ochieng…" she whispered.

Ochieng's jaw clenched. Seeing her like that ignited a fury he had never known.

Rolex tilted his head. "So, what's the plan, Ochieng? You surrender, and she walks free?"

Ochieng took a slow step forward, hands still in his pockets. "You think this is about surrendering?"

In a blur, he moved.

A hidden blade flashed from his sleeve, slicing through the nearest guard's throat.

Chaos erupted.

Gunfire rang out as Ochieng dove behind a crate. From the shadows, Gideon, Victoria, and Eugene emerged, unloading bullets into Rolex's men.

Betrayal. Rolex had underestimated him.

---

Bodies lay scattered across the ground. Rolex was on his knees, blood dripping from his mouth.

Ochieng stood over him, gun aimed at his forehead.

"You played a dangerous game," Ochieng said coldly. "And you lost."

Rolex coughed, laughing weakly. "You… you think this ends with me?"

Ochieng didn't reply. He simply pulled the trigger.

The shot echoed into the night.

Lucy rushed into Ochieng's arms, trembling. "I knew you'd come."

Ochieng held her tightly, his voice soft but firm. "Always."

But deep inside, he knew this wasn't over. Rolex was just a pawn. The real enemy was still in the shadows.

And Ochieng was ready for war.
