Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: The Syndicate's Retaliation

The aftermath of Nikolai Volkov's death sent shockwaves through the underworld. Ochieng and his team had just delivered a fatal warning to the Zenith Syndicate, and they knew retaliation was inevitable.

As they gathered in the underground bunker, Jaylen leaned over the table, studying a digital map of the city.

"We made our move. Now, they'll make theirs."

Tielen cracked his knuckles. "Let them. I've been itching for a real fight."

Isabelle, sitting across from them, sighed. "You don't get it, do you? The Syndicate isn't just a group of criminals. They own politicians, corporations, military contracts. They won't just send a few hitmen—they'll send an army."

Ochieng remained silent, his mind already calculating the possibilities.

"Then we prepare," he finally said. "No more hiding. If they want a war, we give them one."

Two nights later, in the heart of the city, the Zenith Syndicate made its move.

A convoy of black SUVs roared through the streets, heading toward Ochieng's known hideout—a calculated strike meant to wipe him out in one night.

But what they didn't know was that Ochieng had already anticipated their attack.

Jaylen grinned as he watched from a rooftop, sniper rifle in hand. "Right on time."

Ochieng stood in the shadows, watching the convoy. "Let's end this quickly."

With a single command, the city exploded into chaos.

The first SUV was hit by an explosive charge, flipping into the air before crashing into the street. Gunfire erupted as masked men stormed the area, only to be met with an ambush.

Tielen led the counterattack, moving like a phantom through the smoke, taking down enemies with brutal precision.

Isabelle, using her twin daggers, danced through the chaos, leaving a trail of bodies in her wake.

Ochieng, however, was different. He walked straight into the firefight without fear, his presence alone sending a chill down the spines of those who dared to face him.

One by one, the Syndicate's men fell.

As the last gunshot faded, Ochieng grabbed the only surviving enemy—a lieutenant of the Syndicate—by the collar.

"Tell your bosses," he growled. "This is just the beginning."

With that, he let the man go, sending him running into the night.

The war was far from over.

But Ochieng had just proven one thing—he was the storm the Zenith Syndicate never saw coming.
