Chapter 63 - CHAPTER 63

Aoki was filled with excitement—Jirachi had finally hatched, and its strength was astounding.

Despite just being born, Jirachi already possessed Superior-level strength. Once it surpassed its infancy stage, it could immediately participate in battles. With its Level 2 Legendary qualification, it had the potential to reach Elite or even Champion-level in a short period of time.

What intrigued Aoki the most, however, was its special skill—Meteor Flash.

If he recalled correctly, this move was originally exclusive to Solgaleo, a powerful Steel/Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon. Meteor Flash was a devastating Steel-type move that could ignore the target's abilities—meaning that even Pokémon with Multiscale or Sturdy wouldn't be able to reduce the damage. This skill was exceptionally powerful and well-suited for a Legendary Pokémon like Jirachi.

Of course, Jirachi's signature move, Doom Desire, was also formidable. A Steel-type delayed attack, it could amass energy and unleash a devastating strike after two turns, making it an unpredictable and strategic weapon in battle.

After analyzing Jirachi's potential, Aoki reached into his backpack and retrieved a special Poké Ball—a customized Ultra Ball, superior to a Luxury Ball, but still a step below a Master Ball.

"Jirachi, don't resist."

Aoki gently tapped Jirachi with the Ultra Ball, and it was instantly drawn inside. The ball wobbled slightly before settling with a ding—capture successful!

As soon as he released Jirachi again, it excitedly flew into Aoki's arms, rubbing its tiny body against him in affection.

Aoki played with Jirachi for a while before it finally started to feel drowsy. It yawned, its golden eyelids drooping before it curled up and fell into a deep sleep.

Its sleeping form was adorable, resembling a twinkling star in the night sky.

"Alright, today was exhausting. Time to get some rest."

Aoki had been awake all night to ensure Jirachi's successful hatching, and now that it had finally emerged, he could relax.

It was worth noting that Aoki now had seven Pokémon on his team—normally, any additional Pokémon would be sent to Professor Birch's Laboratory due to the League's standard six-Pokémon rule.

However, since Ultra Balls weren't standard League-issued Poké Balls, they bypassed the automatic transfer system. This allowed Aoki to keep Jirachi with him, rather than having it sent away.

The Ultra Ball was a rare custom Poké Ball, something Aoki had obtained through special means, and he rarely used them unless absolutely necessary.

After a long rest, Aoki slowly opened his eyes.

Almost immediately, he felt something scurrying around in his arms.

When he looked down, he saw Jirachi playfully floating in front of him, its Psychic power levitating several objects in the room, making them hover in mid-air.

"Jirachi, you're finally awake."

Aoki reached out and gently ruffled Jirachi's small head, cradling it in his arms.

He genuinely adored Jirachi—it was his first-ever Mythical Pokémon, making it especially meaningful.

Truth be told, he was also interested in Manaphy, the Mythical Pokémon native to the Hoenn region, but obtaining it was far more difficult than finding Jirachi.

For now, having one Mythical Pokémon was more than enough.

His next goal was to train Jirachi properly so it could grow stronger—ideally reaching Elite-level or even Champion-level as soon as possible.

Perhaps, in time, it could even become a Legendary-class powerhouse.

But raising Jirachi wouldn't be easy.

Aoki began formulating a nutrition plan in his mind.

After a moment, he recalled a specific Pokéblock recipe—Super Pokéblocks and Steel Pokéblocks.

These high-tier Pokéblocks were essential for accelerating Jirachi's growth, but they required extremely rare ingredients—including top-tier Berries that were difficult to obtain.

Most Trainers didn't even have access to such ingredients, and unfortunately, Aoki himself didn't have enough resources to acquire them either.

However, he knew someone who could help—Professor Oak.

Not only was Professor Oak a world-renowned Pokémon Researcher, but he was also famous for his expertise in raising Pokémon.

Additionally, Aoki and Professor Oak had a good relationship—Aoki's contributions to Pokémon research had earned him the Professor's trust and admiration.

"Jirachi, stay hidden in my clothes for now. There are a lot of bad people outside who might try to take you away."

Aoki carefully tucked Jirachi into his jacket and left the Pokémon Center to make a video call to Professor Oak.

Before long, the call connected.

"Aoki! It's been a while! I heard you've become a Trainer. Work hard and strive to be the best!"

Professor Oak smiled warmly on the screen.

He had always hoped Aoki would become a full-time Pokémon Researcher, but Aoki had ultimately chosen to become a Trainer.

Even so, Professor Oak respected Aoki's decision—after all, Aoki was immensely talented, and his potential as a Trainer couldn't be ignored.

"Professor Oak, sorry to bother you, but I need your help in purchasing some rare Berries."

"Of course! What kind of Berries do you need? As long as I can get them, I'll make sure you receive them."

The Oak family was one of the most prestigious Pokémon research families in the world, and Professor Oak himself was a renowned breeder and researcher.

Obtaining rare Berries was a small favor for someone like him.

"Thank you, Professor! Here's the list of what I need."

"Alright. I'll have them delivered to Mauville City's Pokémon Center—where are you heading next?"

"I'll be challenging Mauville Gym next."

Aoki had already wasted some time, so he planned to continue traveling while training.

"Sounds good! Then work hard for your Mauville Gym battle. I'll be cheering for you at the Ever Grande Conference."

Professor Oak smiled encouragingly.

Hearing this, Aoki smirked slightly.

"Professor, thanks for your help. Also… I've recently discovered something incredible. I won't spoil the surprise yet, but during the Ever Grande Conference, you'll see for yourself."

"Oh?"

Professor Oak's eyes lit up with curiosity.

He was extremely intrigued—what could Aoki have discovered?

However, Aoki wasn't talking about Mega Evolution.

The real surprise was Greninja's Bond Phenomenon—Ash-Greninja.

This wasn't something that could be easily replicated, and in fact, even in the entire history of Pokémon, only a handful of Trainers had ever achieved it.

If Ash Ketchum hadn't been the protagonist, Bond Phenomenon would have remained a legendary mystery.

Aoki even suspected that the Bond Phenomenon from hundreds of years ago in Kalos might have been triggered by a time-traveling Trainer like himself.

"Heh, now I'm really curious."

Professor Oak chuckled.

He had a feeling that Aoki was about to do something truly extraordinary.
