Chapter 151 - Chapter 151: Saving the Corrupted World, Evolution of the Ancient Apes

As soon as the simulation began, a timer appeared beside Baize, rapidly counting down. The timer indicated he had 72 hours to develop the planet. Next to it was another display screen, initially showing a score of 0. However, in the next second, the number shifted to 1, then 2.

"What's this supposed to be?" Baize asked in confusion.

[Ding! This is the opponent's score tracker.]

[An increase in the score indicates the opponent's world is progressing toward prosperity.]

Hearing the system's explanation, Baize felt a sense of urgency. He realized he couldn't afford to waste time. Unlike his opponent, he needed to simulate changes, and time might not be on his side.

"I understand," Baize nodded, signaling the start of the simulation.

[Divine will descend upon this world. The land is barren, the soil corrupted and lifeless, the seas polluted, and the withered trees stand as a testament to this world's decay.]

[First Era, Early Stage: The world's spiritual energy begins to recover gradually. Biological evolution accelerates, plants grow faster, and the once-decaying world shows a faint trace of green. (Spiritual Energy Recovery Activated)]

[Meanwhile, your native species, the Treefolk, travel through the portal to this corrupted world.]

Seeing the state of the world, Aurora, the leader of the Treefolk, was deeply shocked. The desolation was unlike anything she had ever encountered, reminding her of the days when her elven planet was on the brink of destruction.

"They've arrived," Baize murmured with a faint smile before issuing a divine decree.

[You issue a divine command, instructing Aurora to lead the Treefolk in clearing an area near the withered forest to create a safe zone for future development.]

Using the Eye of the Divine, Baize casually observed one of the malformed creatures crawling on the ground:

[Name: None]

[Level: Servant-Class (Low)]

[Description: A grotesque lump of flesh, the result of failed biological experiments. It roams mindlessly like a zombie, its body saturated with radioactive material. Even the system can't identify what it is.]

Although these creatures weren't particularly powerful, they posed a significant threat to the newly introduced Ancient Apes. They had to be eliminated before further development could take place.

[First Era, Mid-Stage: Following your command, 3,000 Treefolk unite and swiftly eliminate the low-level mutant creatures in the area.]

[The remaining malformed creatures, sensing danger, scatter and dare not approach this newly secured zone.]

[First Era, Late-Stage: The air in this world begins to exhibit a faint blue hue as spiritual energy concentration reaches 100x. The once lifeless world now shows signs of rejuvenation.]

[Shriveled branches sprout new leaves, and traces of organic matter start appearing at the ocean's depths, releasing small bubbles of life.]

After completing their mission, Aurora led the Treefolk to a remote area to temporarily settle down, ensuring no immediate contact with the native creatures to maintain the mystique of the divine.

"Spiritual energy concentration has reached 100x, and the world is starting to sprout. It's time," Baize decided.

With a wave of his hand, a card materialized between his fingers.

"With wisdom comes transcendence, and with transcendence comes the peak of prosperity. This time, everything rests on you," he whispered, flicking the card into the air. It dissolved into glowing particles that scattered into the atmosphere.

On the planet's surface, a transformation unfolded.

[First Era, Final Stage: Not far from the withered forest, a large group of small, hunched apes appears on the land. (Ancient Apes Activated)]

[Scratching their heads and walking on all fours, these apes seem bewildered and purposeless, wandering across the terrain.]

[Second Era, Early Stage: Spiritual energy concentration reaches 300x. For the first time, green vegetation spreads across the land, and the oceans regain their vibrant blue hue.]

[The Ancient Apes discover the rejuvenated forest and take up residence in the trees. They feed on berries from shrubs and leaves from the trees.]

[Some brave Ancient Apes venture out of the forest to scavenge the remains of mutant creatures for food. Most, however, meet their demise, either killed or easily devoured.]

[Second Era, Mid-Stage: The Ancient Apes begin to evolve rapidly. As a nascent intelligent species, their cognitive abilities improve. Occasionally, they are seen gazing at the sky, lost in thought. (Evolution Acceleration Activated)]

[Second Era, Late-Stage: Spiritual energy concentration reaches 500x. Over a century and a half, the planet regains its former vibrancy.]

[The remnants of industrial pollution vanish, radiation levels decrease, and the wastelands soften into fertile soil. The seas churn with renewed vigor, and life thrives. Torrential rains nourish the planet, enabling it to autonomously generate new forms of life.]

[Ding! Corrupted planet restored to its former glory. Creator Points +1,000.]

Hearing the notification, Baize couldn't help but smile. "The world has been revived. Now, true development can begin."

At this stage, the Ancient Apes were far from true intelligence. Baize decided not to deploy Aurora yet and instead continued observing.

[Second Era, Final Stage: Due to a lack of tribal consciousness, the Ancient Apes remain scattered. Originally a single large group, they now splinter into smaller factions within different areas of the forest.]

[Unable to retrace their steps, they settle independently in separate locations. Under such conditions, rapid individual development leads to the emergence of multiple subspecies among the Ancient Apes.]

[Egyptian Apes, African Apes, Ramapithecus, and Australopithecus]

[Each subspecies occupies a different quadrant of the forest. (Species Branching Activated)]

[Ding! Emergence of four subspecies. Creator Points +400.]

"They've arrived. I didn't expect this process to unfold so quickly," Baize exclaimed in surprise.

Observing the subspecies, he noted their differences.

The Egyptian Apes and African Apes were larger and stronger, resembling the chimpanzees Baize had once seen in zoos. Meanwhile, the Ramapithecus and Australopithecus were smaller and less imposing. The Australopithecus, in particular, had long arms and short legs, making them appear relatively weak.

[Third Era, Early Stage: The division of subspecies sparks the formation of a tribal consciousness. Each group establishes alliances, resembling primitive tribal systems.]
