Hey sweeties~
Some of you might be new here, and some have stuck with me since I wrote my very first book, some (honestly, I lost count) years ago.
Through ups and downs, completions and hiatuses, I know some of you have stayed by my side without ever complaining, silently or sweetly cheering me on. Even if I haven't always said it, I cherish that more than words can express.
To the new readers stepping into my little world, welcome with all my heart! I am so happy that you are here and I truly hope you'll stick around for this journey.
Now, about this book…
I'm a huge fan of rebirth stories. Like, huge. I've probably read every one out there, no exaggeration. I've even written one before. Then I drifted off, explored other tropes, experimented. But now, I'm happily back to square one because this trope just never feels dull to me.
So, when you add Rebirth: The Tyrant's Obsession to your library, are you supposed to expect an out-of-the-world classic? A never-before-seen concept?
Nope.
What should you expect, then?
A classic rebirth setup but with good vibes, addictive twists, a spicy yet sweet romance, and that just right dose of comfort and chaos. Face slaps? Yes. Characters you'll want to hug and strangle in equal measure? Absolutely. A couple that makes you laugh, swoon, and maybe curse a little? You got it.
This is a feel-good book. One of those stories you curl up with after a long day because it's warm, wild, and wonderfully messy. I couldn't find a story like this when I needed one (because I have read most of them haha), so I decided to write it myself. I hope it hits the right spots for you, too.
Now, a gentle heads-up. Yes, it's a rebirth story. Yes, there are cliches.
"Oh, she died and woke up again?"
"Oh, there's a bitchy sister and an annoying ex?"
Sure. But… what if the sister wasn't always bitchy?
What if the ex wasn't always bad?
What if things aren't what they seem? No spoilers. Just... be prepared.
One last (important) thing.
As a woman, I will never romanticize or glorify rape. There may be intense, complex dynamics in the story, but consent will always be at the core. As a writer, I welcome criticism, but this particular assumption is deeply unsettling. If something makes you uncomfortable, you're free to step away. I get it. But please don't judge the book on a single line. Context matters.
Oh, you made it to the last paragraph?
I'm hoping that means a tiny part of you is ready to dive in. If you do, don't forget to pepper comments and reviews along the way so I know my sweet little ghosts are right here and watching ;)
