Orion Blackwood's POV
I never thought I'd use them to return after he branded me a traitor.
The packhouse above was strangely quiet. No laughing, no chatter, no life. Luther's rule was already killing this place.
I found what I was looking for in the third tunnel – a small vent that opened into Luther's office. Through it, I could hear voices.
"The Blood Moon Pack needs strength now," Luther was saying. "Not the chaos Amara would bring."
"But she's the rightful heir," someone argued. "If she's innocent of Kamla's murder—"
"Innocent?" Luther laughed coldly. "You saw what she did to Kamla. What she's capable of. The girl is dangerous."
"And the Artemis Pack?" another person asked. "Alpha Elias is looking for her."
"Let him," Luther dismissed. "By the time he finds her, it'll be too late."
I'd heard enough. Luther was consolidating power, using Kamla's murder and Amara's disappearance to protect his position. Classic power grab.
