Chapter 25 - New Era

{MS: 10,000 MS coins deducted.}

{MS: Weapon purchased.}

Kyle opened his hand, and the black and silver dagger materialized in his grip. It felt perfectly balanced, the cool metal smooth against his skin.

"BS, start the building construction," he commanded, his eyes now focused and determined. "Choose the most important buildings first."

With a flick of his wrist, the golden key reappeared in his left hand, and the shimmering golden door followed suit, swirling into existence before him.

"Let's go hunt some animals," he declared, a predatory grin spreading across his face.

Whooosh!!

From thin air, fifty archers and fifty foot soldiers materialized behind him, their expressions stoic and their weapons at the ready. With a confident stride, Kyle walked through the golden door, the hundred soldiers following silently behind him.

High in the tallest tower of the castle, Gabriela stood at a large arched window, her gaze fixed on the spot where the golden door had vanished.

She watched the empty field for a moment longer before her eyes widened in astonishment.

"Uh?"

The ground five hundred meters from the castle began to move, the earth shifting and reshaping itself in a mesmerizing display. Within seconds, where there had been empty land, a sprawling farm with neatly constructed wooden fences appeared.

'Is that even possible?' she murmured, her voice barely audible.

Then, before her disbelieving eyes, another identical farm sprang into existence beside the first.

[NEXT DAY.]

Kyle sat atop the massive corpse of a dead Blood Tiger, its crimson fur matted with its own lifeblood. He wore a long overcoat, a striking combination of black and deep red, the morning sunlight glinting off the silver trim.

The rising sun illuminated his face, highlighting the sharp angles of his jawline as he traced the edge of his bloodied dagger across the Tiger's thick skull. The air around them hung heavy with the metallic scent of blood. Before him, his one hundred soldiers stood in perfect formation.

Scattered across the blood-soaked sand, the lifeless bodies of more than a hundred animals lay still, their blood having already stained the ground a deep, gruesome red.

Kyle looked down at the twenty small, crimson rubies hovering before him, identical to the ones he had found the day before. He chuckled softly.

"All these are the same as the first."

He gestured towards twenty of his foot soldiers.

"Merge." He tossed the rubies towards them, the gems glowing briefly as they made contact.

{MS: Rubies successfully merged.}

"Ok now!" Kyle exclaimed, pushing himself to his feet.

"BS, did I improve in anything?"

{Kingdom power: 5,000.}

"What?!!"

The shock of his significant increase in rank and attributes was immediately overshadowed by the stark reality of his resources.

"How did it get to Zero?!!" Kyle yelled, his voice laced with disbelief and a hint of panic.

"I had millions of resources!! Why on earth are they zero now?!!"

{BS: Host said all important buildings, some require a higher level of your castle, so I upgraded the castle to build the buildings... Don't worry, Host just needs to activate all the buildings, and host will make back his resources.}

Kyle ran a hand through his hair, his initial shock giving way to a grudging understanding.

"Ok," he muttered, a stern look on his face. "This is a good warning. I will never ask you for 'all important buildings' again without specifying." He turned his attention back to the fallen animals.

{BS: Castle Lv10 advantage... Host doesn't need to make contact with the material, he can simply choose it with his mind.}

"Oh... I can do that too?" Kyle asked, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.

{BS: Does Host think he could have wiped out the whole forest without the buff from the castle?}

"Buff?" Kyle was momentarily speechless.

{BS: Castle Lv5 Buff... Increase Host's attack by 5%, and troops by 1%.}

{BS: Castle Lv6 Buff... Increase Host's attack by 7%, and troops by 3%.}

{BS: Castle Lv7 Buff... Increase Host's attack by 10%, and troops by 5%.}

{BS: Castle Lv8 Buff... Increase Host's attack by 13%, and troops by 7%.}

{BS: Castle Lv9 Buff... Increase Host's attack by 15%, and troops by 10%.}

{BS: Castle Lv10 Buff... Increase Host's attack by 18%, and troops by 13%.}

{BS: The higher the level, the higher the buff.}

"Hmm... I wondered why my troops became more powerful," Kyle mused, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"What about the other buildings? Did any of them give a boost?"

{BS: Training ground: 10% increase in soldiers' attack.}

{BS: Civilians Houses: Gives Host Bs coins.}

"Only two gains..." Kyle said, a slight disappointment in his voice. "Ok... So my Bs coins are generated from the castle upgrades and the civilian houses?"

{BS: Yes Host.}

Kyle turned his attention to the massive pile of animal carcasses. "Convert all," he commanded, his voice firm.

The fallen animals shimmered briefly, enveloped in a soft, golden light, before vanishing into thin air.

{BS: Congratulations, Host gained 10 tons of meat.}

{With Host's action, famine duration has been expanded.}

Kyle sighed deeply, rubbing the back of his neck. "All the powerful beasts and monsters are likely deep within their caves during the day, so the increased famine duration won't be too harsh, right?"

He opened his hand, intending to summon the golden key, but his palm remained empty.

"Uh?"

{BS: Level 10 Castle: Host can simply teleport to his realm.}

Kyle nodded. He closed his eyes, focusing his intent.

After a few silent seconds, both he and his one hundred soldiers vanished from the barren, blood-soaked land, leaving behind nothing but the lingering scent of iron and the drying pools of crimson.
