Black Squad – Episode 84
Title: "Ashes of Astra"
(Some enemies die in the field. Others live in the mind. As the Black Squad regroups after the fall of Astra, old scars are torn open and one final decision must be made: what do we do with a man who wears Qazi's face?)
---
[OPENING SCENE – BLACK SQUAD HQ | 6:03 AM]
A heavy rain falls outside as the team returns to headquarters in Delhi.
The air is quieter. Colder.
Raaka is now sedated in a special cell, restrained with 4-layer suppression tech.
Subject-06 is being held in cryo-stasis, but alive.
Inside the war room:
Zoya and Imran scan satellite footage.
Reet tries to analyze Subject-Zero's failed consciousness pattern.
But Qazi… he hasn't spoken to anyone since they returned.
---
ACT 1: The Prisoner With My Face
Qazi stares through the observation glass.
Inside: Subject-06, lying in stasis. Still, breathing, face untouched.
Imran enters.
> Imran: "You've been here an hour. It's just a body now."
Qazi doesn't blink.
> Qazi: "He fights like me. Walks like me. But there's no soul inside. I looked into his eyes… and saw nothing."
Imran, ever the analyst, raises the real fear.
> "What if he wakes up one day and thinks he is you?"
Qazi replies with a chill:
> "Then I'll end him. Myself."
---
ACT 2: Internal Fallout
The Ministry of Defence convenes a closed-door hearing with the Black Squad.
Zoya is furious when she learns that:
General Virk is missing.
Half of the Astra funding trails vanish after Subject-Zero's fall.
> "Someone in power is still protecting the roots."
Reet presents a disturbing insight:
Part of Subject-Zero's upload did succeed — into an abandoned military satellite orbiting Earth.
> "He's not gone. Just… waiting."
---
ACT 3: Reconciliation
Qazi and Zoya have a heartfelt conversation on the HQ rooftop.
She confronts him about his silence since Ooty.
> Zoya: "You stared death in the face… twice. One was Raaka. The other was you."
Qazi finally speaks from the heart:
> "I was raised to believe in the system. Then I became the system.
Now I don't know if I should be proud… or terrified."
Zoya places her badge beside his.
> "We fight so others don't have to. That's the only truth we carry."
---
ACT 4: The Offer
A private MOD jet lands. A high-ranking official arrives: Secretary Veer Mahajan — sent directly from the Prime Minister's office.
He meets Qazi and the squad privately.
> "You've eliminated Astra. Rescued our country from an internal monster.
But the world isn't done throwing devils at us."
He hands Qazi a folder.
Inside: classified files on 14 unsolved, high-profile cases from across India.
> "We're forming Black Squad as a national tactical-crime unit.
Permanent. Uncompromised. Your call, Qazi. You lead… or we find someone who will."
Qazi stands. Silent. Then nods.
> "On one condition — we follow the law this time. We go back to saving lives. Not playing gods."
---
ACT 5: The Clone's Fate
In the final 10 minutes of the episode, the team votes on what to do with Subject-06.
Zoya: Kill him. He's dangerous.
Imran: Freeze him forever. Let no one access his code.
Reet: Use him — he's a walking vault of Astra knowledge.
But Qazi walks alone into the chamber.
He speaks to the unconscious clone:
> "You were born to become a shadow. I won't let them turn you into a weapon again."
He activates a private code.
Subject-06 is transferred to a secret MOD vault in Arunachal Pradesh — deep, remote, away from the world.
Final shot of the chamber door sealing shut.
---
ENDING SCENE – BLACK SQUAD HQ
Zoya pins a new case file on the board:
> Case #001 – Operation "Ink Blood"
(Three journalists murdered. One missing. Suspect unknown. Motive unclear.)
Qazi walks in, back in uniform.
> "Alright. Let's get back to what we do best."
The team suits up. New armor. New energy.

Next Episode: Episode 85 – "Final Ashes"
A direct continuation and emotional payoff.
General Virk resurfaces.
One last hidden subject remains…
The final closing of the Astra chapter — and the true birth of the permanent Black Squad unit.
