Chapter 14 - Lesson

"Are you okay? Don't be a coward. If you can't win, you should train harder. That is the path of cultivation," I explained, trying to offer Zhang Hao some advice.

Judging from Zhang Hao's expression, I knew he was overwhelmed by fear.

After all, the fact that Zhang Hao had been thoroughly beaten by Chu Feng was undeniable.

Just look—some of Zhang Hao's teeth had been knocked out of his mouth.

That alone told me that Chu Feng had used his full strength to pummel Zhang Hao's face.

Honestly, I had to admit, I felt a bit sad seeing Zhang Hao in such a state.

But still, I didn't care. I knew it was because Zhang Hao was weak.

If he were strong, there's no way he would have been beaten so badly by Chu Feng.

Even by looking at Chu Feng's condition, I could tell Zhang Hao hadn't even landed a hit.

Unconsciously, I turned to Chu Feng again.

At first, I considered whether I should go easy on him.

But no, I could see the hatred in his eyes.

Deep inside, Chu Feng felt pain in his internal organs.

But he didn't know why—he couldn't believe I was the one who had caused it.

Unexpectedly, Chu Feng tried to force himself up again.

Then I felt it—his killing intent directed at me.

In a split second, I saw Chu Feng's figure appear behind me.

Maybe it's true—I couldn't be hurt by someone like him.

But I held back, thinking it might be a good idea to let him hit me.

Even though, in reality, there was no way his punch could break through my defense.

As soon as Chu Feng's punch connected with my head,

I knew that my body's natural defense had automatically activated to protect me.

Honestly, I didn't even need that protection.

If not for Chu Feng's hostility, my defensive instincts wouldn't have triggered.

But even if they hadn't, the result wouldn't have changed.

From the beginning, my first life had granted me an indestructible body.

Even if I were hit by dozens of nuclear bombs, it would be impossible for my body to suffer any damage.

On the contrary, the earth itself wouldn't survive the radioactive aftermath.

Perhaps that's why it's unimaginable for humans to launch atomic bombs at a high-level cultivator.

If they dared, would they not be forced to face the consequences?

"Thank you... But are you really okay?" Zhang Hao asked, seeing Chu Feng repeatedly slamming his fists into the back of my head.

But judging from my expression, he wondered if I even felt any pain from Chu Feng's attacks.

"Yeah. Don't worry. If you want, you can leave now. As for him, leave him to me."

"Alright... Good luck then."

As Zhang Hao turned and began walking away from Chu Feng and me,

he glanced back at Wu Xuanxuan.

Suddenly, memories of a promise he once made to her—to marry in the future—flashed through his mind.

But now, he knew that promise could never be fulfilled.

After all, the fact that Wu Xuanxuan had dared to betray him was undeniable.

"Xuanxuan... Goodbye. I pray your life turns out well."

stepstepstep

As Zhang Hao finally walked away, I turned around once more.

For a moment, I noticed one of Chu Feng's hands was bruised at the knuckles.

"Impossible! Why can't I hurt you?! Why?!"

Thud!

"..."

Crack!

Because you're weak...

"Fall down, damn it! Just die already, you loser!"

No. The real loser... is you.

"Why... Why can't I..."

You're just a bully... A woman-stealer... A shameless fraud...

Do you think you're strong?

"Remember this. You are weak. Don't think your strength is enough to dominate the students of Jinshi School. You're just a frog in a well," I said, with no intention of showing any mercy.

Right now, I truly intended to teach this man named Chu Feng a lesson.

Judging by Chu Feng's actions, I could tell he was just a spoiled rich kid.

Stomp!

Unexpectedly, I stepped on Chu Feng's head.

Just look—Chu Feng was now sprawled on the ground.

That alone told me he had completely exhausted himself trying to hurt me.

And with the damage I inflicted, there was no way he could hold on any longer.

"You...! Take your foot off me! I'm the young master of the Chu family! I swear I'll get revenge for this humiliation!"

Thud!

Once again, I pressed my foot harder onto Chu Feng's head without hesitation.

Looking at my face, it was clear—I had no tolerance for Chu Feng's behavior.

He should have known he was nothing compared to me.

And yet, he dared to use the name of the Chu family?

But so what? Why should I care about his threats?

On the contrary, I welcomed the enmity of the Chu family.

"In that case... I look forward to that day. Make sure you tell your foolish family—

I, Han Li, am not someone you can trample over."

Thud!

Finally, I shoved Chu Feng's face deep into the ground.

Even the earth beneath him cracked under the pressure.

"Chu Feng!"

"Hmph! The weak will always remain weak. Goodbye. I hope we never meet again."

At last, with nothing left to do, I decided to walk back into the school building.

As soon as I stepped inside, I felt several eyes fall on me.

Some even looked at the back of my head, remembering how I had been punched by Chu Feng.

Unfortunately for them, they realized I hadn't taken any damage at all.

On the contrary, it was Chu Feng who suffered the brutal injuries.

Luckily, none of them dared stop me.

Though some asked how I had managed to injure Chu Feng.

Still, no matter how many times they speculated how I'd defeated him,

the fact that they couldn't sense the aura of a Core Formation cultivator from me remained undeniable.

But one thing was certain—they started wondering if I'd used some kind of magical equipment.

No matter what, the truth was that the modern world now provided tools capable of defeating cultivators.

If not for that, there's no way modern society could have advanced so far.

"Such a hassle... Good thing I didn't lose that bag of potato chips from Sun Xinxin," I muttered, knowing I would never let go of the chips in my hand.

If I had, how could I have stayed calm in front of Chu Feng?

From the start, the reason I wanted to finish this fight quickly...

was because I had absolutely no intention of losing my precious bag of chips.

The moment I saw Chu Feng launch his first attack at me,

I knew he was trying to knock the snack out of my hand.

Maybe that's why I was so pissed at him—for trying to destroy my chips.
