The sun beamed down on the city, as someone sat atop a tall standing building. His white hair and black tattered scarf blew through the cold air as he stared down aimlessly at the city. Dante frowned as he watched, today was the day. His debut into the city as its Ghost would start the moment something went down. He sighed, but there was a large problem, he had to look for crime with his eyes, which wasn't efficient. But it was all he could manage right now. He hoped it would be easy, but something about it didn't seem that way.
Something caught his attention, it was a guy weaved through the crowd. He watched him intently, he wasn't sure he was planning something, but he had to make sure. His eyes tracked him as he eventually arrived at his destination. In front of him was a row of bikes. His eyes narrowed as he wondered what he was up to. The man crouched down and tried to unhook the bike from its chains. He rolled his eyes, a bike thief? That was hardly worth his time. He was ready to continue looking around, but something kept his attention. What looked like a college student walked up, "Hey, what are you doing?! That's my bike!" The man turned towards the boy as he walked up trying to get him off his bike. But, the man shoved his back onto the pavement, and with a snap of his fingers, men arrived from out of the crowd and towards the boy. With smirks on their faces, their hands stayed inside their pockets. Dante frowned and stood, lifting his black bandaged mask over his face. He realized this was something way more serious than some theft, this was a mugging. He let out a breath and jumped down.
The men grabbed the student by his shoulders and slammed him against the brick wall behind them. They smirked and the guy with the bike rolled up, "You should've stayed quiet kid. This could've been easy…" He said as he placed his hand into his pocket. The student gave a scared look, his heart rate increasing. Sweat formed at his temples, his eyes darting between the men and his bike. "P-Please don't hurt me…"
"That doesn't belong to you." A voice rang out, as the men turned quickly and someone stood out in front of them. It was someone dressed in black, his white hair covering his glowing red eyes. The men gave a half smile and let out laughs. "Oh? So now they have heroes taking care of small-time crimes huh?" One said with a laugh behind it.
The man with the bike aimed a finger at the mysterious man, "Go ahead and get out of here wannabe hero. You shouldn't be here." The masked man opened his hands, a fainted red glow forming around them. The red glow around his already scarlet eyes intensified, "Then I guess I'm at the wrong place." Before they could react, Dante rushed forward, and gave a flick of his wrist. The man closest to the student screamed out, "Don't come any closer or the boy-" he cut himself off, forgetting what it was that he was saying only moments ago. He turned towards the boy and wondered what was going on. The masked man continued forward as the man with the bike quickly drew a pocket knife from his jacket pocket. The masked man frowned beneath his hair as the man swung his blade downward. With a swift movement, he was able to dodge the strike. He narrowed his eyes and his reflexes screamed out. As the blade cut the empty air, the masked man hooked his leg around the attacker's and swept him off his feet. As his feet left the ground, he clenched his fists and swung it through the air, the wind picking up behind his strike. His fist slammed against the man's face, but something within him surged. His eyes widened as he continued until his head slammed into the concert, and a loud crack rang out through the area. The ground below was filled with cracks. Dante looked slightly shocked at his sudden strength. He severely underestimated his strength, he had to remember these guys didn't possess powers, so they couldn't handle his new strength. As he looked, a dark red liquid spilled from the man's head, and time slowed. Dante's eyes went big, and suddenly his vision was turning blurry. His finger twitched, and a sense of guilt tugged at the corners of his mind. But, he didn't let it trip him up for long, shaking his head.
'Don't feel bad, these guys deserve this…' He thought as he rushed past the guy and towards the other two. The man on the opposite of the student screamed out, "What are you waiting for?! Kill him!!" But, the other man was confused, he wasn't sure why he was there or why he had been screamed at to kill someone. Dante took this moment to grab the handle of the bike and clenched it tightly, He took it and swung it under their legs, causing their bodies to fall to the ground. He turned towards them and noticed that they weren't moving, so he assumed they were down for the count. He placed the bike back down onto the ground and turned towards the student.
"Here…" He said, as the student looked between them and nodded. He grabbed the bike and quickly rode off. Dante turned and quickly left the scene. As he climbed up the nearby fire escape, he quickly called the police, letting them know of the crime that had occurred. Once on top of the building, he pulled down his mask and placed a hand on his forehead. He was tired or fatigued, his mind was still reeling from that moment. The sight of that blood, the power that had surged through his body… Everything was just, crazy… He clenched his teeth and ran forward, scaling the buildings as he tried to clear his mind of any doubts.
...
A large monitor displayed two vitals, belonging to two people. Victor Hayes and Legna Torres. A fist ran out, coated in a metal texture. Victor threw out multiple punches and kicks, his skin currently metal. He worked on his power's endurance, so he was tasked with keeping his metal skin on and exerting himself as much as possible. The longest he was able to hold his metallic skin before was at least an hour, but he was currently on three, so he was already making progress.
Legna stood surrounded by different water bottles as the water from inside flowed from out of the bottle and into her hand and body. She began to form different items and attacks with them, sending them in different directions. But next to them, were forms of ice that she had tried her hand at. At first, the elements she was able to control the best were water and small fires, and her goal now was to gain a good control of other elements, and the easiest she figured was ice. However, the best she was able to do was form small formations with them like platforms. She wanted to be able to form large structures and attacks for whenever it was necessary.
As they trained, a small chime played and the intercom came online. "Good work Victor and Legna, you've been at it for a while, if you need, you may take a break." A voice rang out from the speakers and Victor smiled. "Awesome!" He let out a breath, and stretched before walking towards the exit door along with Legna. He swung the door open and took a seat on the bench just outside the room. He sighed and smiled, "Man I haven't had my skin be metal for this long!" He said and Legna leaned back.
She gave a nod, "Yeah, I'm starting to get a small understanding of how to better control elements." Victor's smile faltered slightly as he glanced at Legna, "So, how do you think Dante is doing?" He asked suddenly as Legna looked over. She smiled, "I bet he's just sitting in his dorm room engrossed in some new book. He probably isn't even worried about us." Victor blinked and let out a laugh closing his eyes. "Yeah, you're probably right…"
He lifted his head as he stared at the ceiling, "Though I do wonder… If Dante did join us, do you think he'd be doing something completely different from us?"
Legna nodded, "Yeah, most likely. His powers aren't very combat-based. So, he probably be doing something like, gathering information or something like that." She turned to him holding up a finger, "I mean, his powers are pretty crazy, and not something you can really predict. Mr. Ryoji himself said that Dante had limitless potential that could rival even the greats!" Victor shook his head and lowered his gaze to the floor. "Hm, so he wouldn't even be with us if that's the case…"
Legna's gaze turned back towards the training room before heading back to Victor, "But, we shouldn't be so caught up with Dante, he would want us to be focused on the here and now. He would want us to make him proud, become the heroes we want to be!" Victor looked a bit surprised, but smirked and nodded. "Yeah, you're right!" He stood and rushed back into the training room. "Alright! I'm more motivated than ever!" Legna blinked as she saw his sudden burst of energy. She smiled and shook her head, standing to follow after him. 'I wish you could see us, Dante, it's time for us to make you proud.'

The city was illuminated by the city lights and street lamps as Dante sat above the buzzing city. The wind blew through his hair as his eyes traced the people, watching for any other crimes. Though, it was hard for him to focus. His mind was still reeling from that moment earlier today, and he looked at his hands. If today taught him anything, it was that he didn't know how strong he truly was. Those criminals didn't have powers, which meant that they didn't have the physical enhancements to survive the attacks Dante threw at them. But even then, he felt stronger than he did even before then… He didn't know how to explain what happened. But, what mattered now, he had to hold himself back. Most of the people who did these petty crimes didn't have powers, since most hero factions and divisions didn't handle crimes like this, it was handled by the police. But then again, what would happen if these people did have powers, like the night before…As far as he knew, no one in the police force had powers, as they would be better off just becoming superheroes. He clenched his teeth, but something snapped him out of his thoughts. His ears twitched a scream rang from below. He looked down and around for something that suggested where it was located. His eyes scanned the crowd and noticed someone running with a purse clutched to their chest. He stood and pulled his mask over his mask.
It was time for another.
